The Sanchaya is a luxurious escape that we truly enjoyed from the moment we arrived on Bintan. The check in and check out was effortless as The Sanchaya has their own check in out counter and staffs who welcomed us upon arrival. We were brought into another world upon arriving at the estate where time didn’t exist. We felt truly pampered and the Artisans were always ready to be a step ahead in all that we plan to do. The estate was beautiful and had a very secluded beach. We will definitely return to what I call my second home again in the near future. Thank you as I truly felt very well cared for during my time at The Sanchaya. A special mention to Greg, the GM who had managed his team really well as it is evident in their warmth and hospitality that their guests truly felt.

As a new mum that craved for a beach getaway since 2024, Bintan felt like the perfect idea for our little family to kick Start our travels with a ferry ride to Bintan. Sadi beach is a little bit further from the ferry terminal and main attractions (e.g. lagoi bay) but Sadi beach makes up for it with the comfortable and cosy rooms as well as the excellent service the team provides. The food is excellent, anything on the menu is a hit. We loved the fritters, nasi goreng cabe ijo and the mocktails were especially exquisite with zero alcohol!! The staff makes you feel like you're right at home and it's so convenient to converse with them via whatsapp for any queries, concerns or needs. It was an excellent stay because i felt so sad having to leave! Definitely worth a visit if you need to unwind and just relax, we chose the garden villa. There's spa/massage, a playroom for children, a pool and complimentary canoeing/bicycle rides. You can even opt for snorkeling at the nearby islands. Absolutely wonderful stay as there's something for everyone, whatever your age! Our stay at Doulos Phos The Ship Hotel was truly one of the highlights of our trip. Sleeping aboard a beautifully restored historic ship is a unique experience that you simply can’t find in an ordinary resort. The ship’s rich maritime heritage has been thoughtfully preserved while offering modern comfort, making the stay both memorable and relaxing. The hotel itself is highly rated by guests for its cleanliness, service, and distinctive character. The room was comfortable, clean and well-maintained, with charming nautical touches that reminded us we were staying on a real ship. Every corner of the property felt full of history, yet never outdated. The peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind from the moment we arrived. Watching the sunset from there was absolutely breathtaking. The complimentary heritage tour was also well worth joining, giving us fascinating insights into the remarkable journey of this century-old vessel. The staff were warm, welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. They were always ready to help with a smile, which made us feel genuinely well looked after. Breakfast was delicious providing a great start to each day. However, one issue we encountered was the hot water supply in the shower. The hot water frequently ran out while we were showering, which was quite inconvenient and uncomfortable. This happened several times during our stay, so we hope the hotel can look into improving the consistency of the hot water supply. One thing to note also, the hotel location has limited dining and shopping options within walking distance. It’s a perfect destination if you’re looking to disconnect, relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings rather than a busy nightlife. Overall, Doulos Phos offers far more than just accommodation—it delivers a unique experience filled with history, beautiful scenery and genuine hospitality. If you’re looking for a memorable getaway that’s different from the usual beach resort, this ship hotel is absolutely worth a visit.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this villa in Bintan! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome and ensured every detail of our stay was perfect. The villa itself was stunning—beautifully maintained, spacious, clean, and offering breathtaking views that made our vacation truly unforgettable. What made our experience even more special was how the team went above and beyond to celebrate my birthday. They surprised me with thoughtful decorations and a lovely birthday arrangement that made the day extra memorable. Their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality exceeded all our expectations. The facilities were excellent, the food was delicious, and the peaceful atmosphere provided the perfect escape from the city. Every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Thank you for making my birthday celebration and our stay so special. We left with wonderful memories and cannot wait to return. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable getaway in Bintan!

The free shuttle from the ferry to the resort was super smooth. We got a great fruit juice and a warm welcome from the front desk. Lots of free activities there too. I was really looking forward to the dance and aqua dance, but after waiting in the lobby, we found out there wouldn't be a class that day. It would've been nice if they'd put up a notice so we didn't wait for nothing. Then we did other stuff like rock painting, animal education, and tie-dye tote bags, which was awesome. I even chatted with Mizhelle as she passed our dried tie dye the next morning while she did my henna – such a happy person! The room was pretty clean and roomy. The AC worked great, and they even gave us a cute, big woven bag to use. I brought earplugs because reviews said you could hear people outside. But all we heard were buggies, crickets, and frogs, so it was all good. Our stay included daily breakfast, and the hospitality was amazing. They greeted us by name, which made us feel special. The staff even remembered our names when we just walked by them – effort 10/10! We did the BBQ, which was an 8/10. It was a cozy dinner setup. Unfortunately, there were tons of mosquitoes feasting on us while we BBQ'd and ate, even with repellent on. The staff forgot the oil spreader, so we couldn't cook for a bit. But the night was still a great experience for us both. Definitely a memorable vacation. I just wish the lagoon stayed open longer than 6 pm.

At Nirwana Garden Resort, staff are friendly and genuinely nice. The beach is clean and clear waters that you can see fishes swimming around you… and watch sunset in the sea waters. Its windy and cool in the morning and evening. Food offered at good, esp the lamb shank stew. Also have nice spa - go for the Javanese massage! There are also 3 iguanas kept at the resort. We also went bowling and archery. At night we also went out for fireflies watching and kelong restaurant dinner.

Second time with Grand Lagoi. Great location near lagoi bay beach. There’s shops in close proximity to the hotel. Hotel has decent breakfast buffet. The warung yeah cafe near the hotel has really fragrant Ayam Bakar. Staff are super friendly and hospitable. Offers free shuttle service to and from the ferry terminal. There is a massage place right beside the hotel for a quick relaxation after you reach Grand Lagoi.

Enjoyed my 3 day stay at this resort. Nice room with a balcony and sea view. Daily breakfast included , and has plenty of options, buffet style , from local food to eggs your way , fruit , bread and the best of all - prata. Restaurant on site offers delicious food. Vegetarian options available. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Beautiful sunrise you can watch from the beach. Hotel allows to rent a kayak. Overall , very calm place to relax for a quick holiday. Good value for money , recommend, and will be back again.

Stayed in the private pool ocean view villa, and it was one of the best villas I’ve ever visited! 😍 The villa itself was beautiful: * 🚽 Japanese/Korean heated toilet * 🚿 Large shower * 🛀 Large bathtub * 🪞 Couple’s sink with plenty of space * 🛏️ Big, comfortable bed The ocean is clear and unpolluted, and each villa comes with an inflatable paddle—high tide was so fun, and low tide lets you spot little fishes. It felt like a private beach —perfect for fun and amazing photos with no photo bombers.✨The pool was perfect too, cleaned daily, and the resort was very private and peaceful. 💡 If I were to share my advice 🤿 Go snorkeling! My biggest regret was not going 🥺. If the water in front of the villa is already this clear and full of fish, I can only imagine the snorkeling spots. 🐠 🍽️ The Ocean Restaurant was excellent—fresh local fish and seafood noodles for 385k IDR. I didn’t plan enough time for it 🤏🥲 but it’s seriously worth it. 💡 My advice: Stay in the ocean view villa—it’s absolutely worth it. Transport is easy to arrange, but this level of ocean view and privacy at this price is rare. ✨ The best vacations are the ones with regrets from not knowing more—so go for this. If you are not fussy about a ”right slap in the city” hotel, then this is a perfect hotel for you and your family! The hotel is within walking distance to Melayu Square, Tugu Pencil, Gong-gong building, Jalan Hang Tuah, the newly built coastal bridge, and the main ferry port. The neighborhood is also very friendly and littered with many little local eateries and grocery shops that are not expensive! Even if you want a very good Chinese seafood restaurant, Sei Enam is only a stone throw away! The hotel rooms are very basic and simple and the hotel is not equipped with a elevator, so if you are staying on the 4th floor, you'll have to walk up! Inside the rooms are simple appliances like TV, cable, telephone, drinking cups, bottled water, slippers, cupboards, drawers, hot and cold water showers, toothbrush with toothpaste, shampoo, small bar soaps, aircon, firm pillows, and even a nice bolster for you to hug to sleep! There are unfortunately no water billers nor coffee and tea condiments in the room. Hot and cold drinking water are on level 1 dinning area. The hotel package that I took came with a simple breakfast. The dishes are local and spicy and they are often sprinkled with peanuts. Breakfast come in wrapped up (takeaway) packages with all the pratas sauces, and/or rice in paper and plastic wrappings. Cutleries and plates are available for use. Free flow of coffee and tea with sugar (no milk nor creamer). For the price of about S$26/day, I thought that it was such a wonderful stay in this hotel! Even though it is without much amenities (because I'd rather go take my walks around town and go get a boat ride), I highly recommend this 2 star hotel for a simple and affordable stay in Tanjung Pinang!
