"Excellent hotel, especially if you need a convenient place to stay near the airport. The hotel offers a free airport shuttle, and you can contact them to arrange it. Since I didn’t have any luggage, I decided to walk from the airport instead, and it took me no more than 15 minutes at a relaxed pace. The hotel is quiet, clean, and has everything you need for a short stay. The rooms and renovation are fairly simple, but for the price, I think the value for money is excellent. I was also pleasantly surprised that check-out was allowed until 2 PM, which is quite unusual and very convenient. Breakfast is included, although there are very few Western options, almost none. That wasn’t a big issue for me, as there are places nearby where you can walk for breakfast, and taxis are also very inexpensive. The airport transfer worked perfectly and was right on time. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you have a layover, an early flight, or simply want to rest near the airport before continuing your journey. Very convenient and great value for money."

MixC is right next door, perfect for shopping, catching a movie, or letting the kids burn off some energy, making it a great option for a staycation. If your budget allows, I’d generally recommend it. 【Service】The service remains excellent overall. 1. The front desk staff was very kind and upgraded us to a higher floor room with a better view. 2. Whether it was the front desk, lobby bar, lounge, 101 restaurant, gym (24-hour access with room card), or the pool (perfect temperature, though it's outdoors)… everyone we encountered was incredibly observant – they’d press the elevator for you in advance, offer directions, or ask if you needed help if you had a lot of things in your hands. It’s impressive that the entire team maintained this quality during the busy summer period. 3. What surprised me most was that when I booked, the Nanyang craft class was fully booked. I was a bit disappointed, but the staff provided us with the materials so we could do it ourselves in the room, even though we couldn't do it on-site. Their problem-solving attitude and approach really impressed me. 4. They promptly refilled items that ran out at breakfast, which was a vast improvement compared to some previous experiences where things felt a bit stingy. 【Ambiance】1. It's very photogenic and well-designed; you could spend a long time taking photos without even leaving the hotel. So, individuality and unique design are quite important. 2. Once the curtains in the room are drawn, it gets perfectly dark, which is great for sleeping. 【Dining】1. Perhaps due to cost control, the items in the room's minibar have changed (it used to have Basao tea, was that a limited-time offering?). The offerings at the lobby bar and happy hour have also become fewer and simpler, but the quality is still decent… 2. The breakfast at 101 restaurant felt less appealing than before… The Shacha noodle soup base tasted like laksa, and the noodle texture was off. What was clearly mini wontons was called 'bianshi', and the peanut soup only had the raw ingredients but the taste and texture weren't quite right. The mianxian糊 (vermicelli paste) texture was also off, which made me not even want to try the salty rice. And while the oyster omelet and 'manjian gao' (pancakes) tasted okay, they weren't actually what they were supposed to be… (Fortunately, there are alternatives like Shacha noodle shops, snack bars, and street food stalls nearby)… If I hadn't eaten out before, these 'specialty snacks' at breakfast would have been very misleading… 3. To be fair, the Western-style offerings were all good – bread, desserts, etc. 4. There were small bugs in the restaurant; I encountered one right after sitting down, and then another flew into my mini wontons when I went to get them later… 【Other】1. I hope the breakfast specialty snacks can be improved. 2. I wish the dishes and their names would match (some dish names on the labels lagged behind after changes. It felt a bit awkward seeing someone holding 'curry puffs' and telling their child it was 'wuxiang' (five-spice fritters); the chicken popcorn at happy hour was labeled as something else, though it was corrected later). 3. My friend arrived at breakfast first, and I joined later. I was questioned a bit upon entry, and then followed to my friend’s table before they left, which made me feel untrusted… Had someone tried to sneak in for free breakfast before? 4. On Ctrip, a 5 is 'exceeded expectations,' 4.5 is 'satisfied,' and 4 is 'quite satisfied.' I feel that anything 4.25 or above is pretty good… Unfortunately, everyone is so competitive these days, and I understand the difficulties faced by those in the industry. I gave a score I thought was quite good before, only to find out it caused trouble for others… Now, if there are no major issues, I just give a supportive 5 stars…"

The location is superb, right next to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, with delicious food everywhere downstairs, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and getting around. "Whenever I travel, if there's an Atour Hotel available, I always choose to stay there. This particular Atour was excellent in all aspects. For travelers, staying close to a subway station is always a plus, and this hotel is only about 300-400 meters from Zhenhai Road Subway Station. It's also right next to a large shopping mall, and Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street is just behind it, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The front desk staff, both the ladies and gentlemen, were very kind and had great attitudes. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Alex at the from desk was especially helpful and even gave us a complimentary upgrade to a spacious sea-view room in the middle section of the hotel. The room was very large, clean, and comfortable. The hotel is also in a fantastic location, within walking distance of Bashi Food Street and Zhongshan Road. We had some trouble purchasing ferry tickets to Gulangyu Island online, the hotel staff Jimmy kindly helped us purchase the tickets. "My stay at Yidu Chaosu was a truly wonderful experience! The self-service laundry room was incredibly convenient; I could wash and dry my clothes right after coming back from sightseeing, which saved me a lot of hassle. The ladies at the front desk and the room attendants were all super gentle and helpful. Any questions I had, they'd patiently assist and were very responsive. The guesthouse's location is also great, making it easy to get around and go shopping. The overall environment was comfortable, and the service was thoughtful and attentive, making my stay feel very secure. If you're visiting Xiamen, choosing this place won't disappoint. "【Brief Review】This isn't really a resort-style hotel; it's more suited for those who want to stay in, shop at the mall, and order takeout (from SM), especially during hot weather, heavy rain, or typhoons... As a new hotel, there's still room for improvement! 【Environment】1. I really loved all the bird-themed elements. If they extended this into merchandise, I'd probably buy some. 2. It has all the essentials. The room view was actually pretty good – villas, mountain views, ancient temples. It was generally quiet with a wide-open view. However, because the hotel is new, I could still detect a slight scent when first entering the room, but it was fine once the AC and fresh air system were on. 3. The toiletries were the less common Elemis (known for high-end spa treatments), and the minibar had Labubu sugar-free cola and even the very old-school Lufang! A pleasant surprise was that the bathroom and toilet were two separate areas, ensuring privacy. Also, the door handles had indicators pointing towards the elevator, which was helpful because the hallways look so similar that it's easy to forget which way to go. 4. The swimming pool is indoors, but it seems to be open to the public, so you need to choose your timing carefully. The gym equipment is limited but generally sufficient. 【Service】1. I appreciate the room upgrade based on availability, which made for a better stay. Also, the hotel has many partnerships with SM merchants, offering discounts with the room key. 2. Perhaps because it's a new hotel, there seemed to be a significant difference in service among staff members; they still need some time to gel. 3. Here are a few situations that could be used for future service improvements: (1) When leaving by car, I couldn't exit the parking lot. While it was resolved quickly, being stuck there was a bit awkward and frustrating. They could investigate the cause and create a contingency plan. (2) After returning from the movies at night, a staff member asked for my room number (the person in front of me was asked too). After I told them the floor, they pressed for the specific room number, which made me a bit uncomfortable... You need to swipe your room card to use the elevator to your room, so why the interrogation? (3) The young man pushing the cart in the restaurant was excellent. He advised us on how to best enjoy the food and introduced the rotating daily specials. 【Food】The breakfast selection was decent, with some local specialties, but not a huge variety. The Shacha noodles soup base was a bit spicy and felt different from the local version, but it was much better than turning Shacha noodles into laksa... The chef in the black uniform at the live cooking station was very diligent and enthusiastic. The food stations were a bit spread out, which was good for walking around and digesting, haha. 【Other】1. Surprisingly, the restroom next to the lobby bar on the first floor had no hand soap or other amenities; you had to go to the disabled or nursing room's sink to find them. 2. The TV in the lobby bar isn't very useful and could be turned off, or perhaps they could play hotel promotional videos on loop instead of commercials. 3. My IHG friends recommended Birdie Bean, which is supposedly part of the brand's DNA, but the ones in Xiamen and Shanghai seem different... 4. I'm curious if the hotel will eventually have direct access to SM Phase 3. Currently, you still have to go outside and walk a short distance outdoors (part of which seems to be under maintenance). It's fine when the weather is good, but it would be a bit inconvenient in the rain."

It's also not far from the subway station, making it easy to get to all the tourist attractions. The hotel is a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The rooms are clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, there's plenty of hot water, and the Wi-Fi is stable. The front desk staff are warm and welcoming, and check-in/check-out is quick. They also offer free luggage storage, and any requests are handled promptly. There's a self-service laundry room, which is really convenient for travelers who need to wash clothes. The overall environment is quiet, and the value for money is excellent. It's perfect whether you're traveling with friends or on a short trip. I would definitely consider staying here again next time I visit Xiamen, and I highly recommend it to anyone coming to Xiamen!"
