Tegoo Hotel

The hotel's location is fantastic, right by the subway station, making it easy to walk to Zhongshan Road, the Eighth Market, and other attractions. The front desk and concierge staff were very attentive and even upgraded our room. Overall, it offers great value for money and is highly recommended.

The Taigu Hotel boasts an excellent location. It's within walking distance of Zhongshan Road and the Eight Markets, and not far from the Dongdu Hotel, making it perfect for an evening stroll to enjoy the night views. The hotel staff are also very friendly and welcoming.

The hotel is very close to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, and the view is decent. The room has carpet, which I imagine is hard to deep clean 🧹, so I feel it's not as clean as a hard floor would be. The breakfast buffet 🍳 had a decent variety. During holiday seasons, everywhere is crowded, and hotels are much more expensive than usual.

This hotel is a bit old, and the overall decor is quite dated with dim lighting. However, if you're on vacation and want to stay downtown, it's pretty convenient. During the Chinese New Year holiday, the prices were ridiculously expensive. Breakfast was just so-so.

Our king-size room had windows on both sides, which was great for ventilation and offered a glimpse of the sea and Gulangyu Island. The location is excellent, right near Heping Wharf, close to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street and Bashi Market, and only about 200-300 meters from the subway station, making it very convenient for getting around. The gym was under renovation and unavailable. The breakfast selection was decent, featuring local specialties like Shacha noodles, Mianxian paste, and peanut soup. However, some dishes were a bit greasy, and there weren't many steamed options. The milk and soy milk were instant powder mixes, but everything else was fine.
