"At first, it look very old but after sometime, I can feel very relaxed and good atmosphere here. I can sleep very comfortably even I have to do a bit of hike/jump to my upper bunkbed. The mattress is very good quality and it can make me sleep comfortably, that's the most important. Also, the location is the best in the heart of Perth CBD and next to Chinatown, many yummy foods there. Bathrooms are plenty and very clean. Their staff customer service skill is second to none. Very happy staying here for three nights yeven if I have to do a bit of hike/jump to reach my comfy bed mattress (Other three upper bunkbed in the room are good, its have the ladder screwed properly, just my upper bunkbed. It's good exercises)."

"The family room was great, very spacious with large beds. I looked at a lot of hotels in Perth, and many twin rooms had very narrow beds, but this place was perfect. It's also very close to the Pan Pacific, where we stayed previously. We booked it for our last night after a road trip. The service was excellent. The only minor inconvenience was that there's no ramp for luggage; you have to go up stairs to the entrance. Perth isn't very big, so it's easy to walk everywhere from here."

"In a great location near Elizabeth Quay, and Langley park for Australia day fireworks and other events. We stayed in a Premium room with river view. It was spacious, modern and with a great shower. The view was nice, but would be great if the windows weren't so narrow. The walls were way too thin for a luxury hotel though. We could hear the conversations of the guests in the room next to us, and they woke us up when they came back to the room at 1am. That's the only reason I wouldn't recommend this hotel."

"Mountway Hotel Apartment: A Budget Gem for Asian Travelers in Perth I recently stayed at Mountway Hotel Apartment in Perth, and I must say it’s one of the best options in its price range, especially for Asian travelers looking for a long-term stay with self-catering facilities. Location: The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient for getting around. It’s just 1.1 km from the central train station, and you can hop on free bus services like the Red CAT, Blue CAT, or Green CAT, with stops only 100m to 250m away—perfect for easy commuting. Behind the hotel lies the stunning Kings Park and Botanic Garden. If you don’t feel like walking the 300m to get there, the Blue CAT will drop you off effortlessly. The accessibility to public transport and nearby attractions is a huge plus. Cleanliness: While the exterior might look a bit dated, the interior is surprisingly spotless. I booked a room for two, but the bedding and pillows provided were enough for four, which was a nice touch. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, and I was thoroughly satisfied with the cleanliness. Facilities: The private kitchen was a highlight—equipped with a rice cooker, pots, pans, a toaster, a fridge, and enough cutlery, plates, and utensils for four people. They even provide coffee, which I appreciated. However, there are a few downsides: the electric stove is small and outdated, making cooking a bit slow. Also, there’s no salt or basic seasonings provided, nor chopsticks, which might inconvenience Asian guests. The bathroom features a very clean bathtub, but it lacks shampoo and body wash, so you’ll need to bring your own. Despite these minor drawbacks, I’d still rate Mountway Hotel Apartment as the best value for money in its category. It’s practical, comfortable, and ideal for Asian travelers who want to stay longer and cook meals to suit their tastes. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a home-away-from-home experience in Perth!"

"Perfect location for a short stay. The hotel is central, there is a wonderful bar and restaurant if it gets late and you prefer to stay in. We had a drink at the bar and enjoyed the ambiance of the place. There’s a pool and gym which is great to have on hot days. It was close to many shops and restaurants which is ideal as you don’t have to travel far also to enjoy the pier and city views."

"This hotel is conveniently located with easy access to transportation and a great variety of dining options nearby. The room was clean and comfortable, well-equipped with all necessary facilities. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay with excellent value for money."

"The room was quite spacious, with an en-suite bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable. It's also conveniently located close to the train station and the commercial center. However, I found it strange that the beds didn't have privacy curtains. The quad room had two single beds and one bunk bed."

"The Criterion Hotel is very central in Perth. It is a basic Hotel, the wifi in general works well. The room is clean, even my please clean the room sign was not out, the room was cleaned, so be careful with your belongings when going out. $250 deposit required on check in, which gets refunded at end of stay. Not a bad option"

"We arrived at the hotel around 9am and had wanted to deposit our luggage but was told that our room  was ready and we could check in! Thanks Marcia and Marjaa-lis! The room was clean, shower pressure was good, fridge was cold  , beds were comfy and you had everything you need for a good stay. The towels could be softer though, but overall I am happy. Breakfast was nice with a good spread and coffee  and tea were were fantastic. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Thanks Binisha and Laura for the warmth and welcoming smiles. See ya soon!"

"This hotel is located near the Elizabeth Quay within walking distance and the walk along the lake is amazing. The view of the hotel room is breathtaking especially during sunset and sunrise. Yes. You can see both! Service from the team is excellent and I cannot ask for more. The gym is equipped with good equipment and the conveniences of IGA supermarket being part of the complex helped us to get anything we missed. Highly recommended."
