This hotel on Hoi Yat Street has an excellent location. Being in the city center means convenient access to shopping, dining, and transport, which really enhanced my stay. The restaurant/bar was also great, and so was the pool.

Don't use the showerhead directly, or the bathroom will turn into a pond. The service really needs improvement. They'll overcharge you if you don't check your bill. I booked two rooms for three nights through Trip.com, but they kept saying they couldn't find my reservation. On the first day, they said they couldn't find the third day's booking. On the second day, they said they only found one room's reservation. Since I booked separately, I had to reactivate my key card every day. The power in the room would cut out and come back on automatically, and the curtains would open and close suddenly, which really scared me. The room cleaning time varied each day, and they'd often forget to replenish water or take a very long time. Plus, no one answered the phone.

The hotel's location is quite good. There's a 'Cat Bus' stop right outside, and it's not far from the Mint. You can also walk to the pier and the Swan Bells, which is perfect for exploring the city. The room was clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The front desk service was also great; they held our luggage and even emailed us when our room was ready after cleaning. Highly recommend!

Perth Two-Bedroom Executive Suite | Spacious & Comfortable, Excellent View, Thoughtful Service My stay in the two-bedroom executive suite in Perth city center was extremely satisfying overall! Spacious Rooms: The suite was very large, featuring a master suite, a separate bedroom, and a guest toilet, offering excellent privacy. The living room connected to a large balcony, overlooking Perth waterfront, providing an excellent view. Well-Equipped Kitchen: The full kitchen came with an induction cooktop (heats up incredibly fast) and an oven (very useful). The kitchenware and bathroom were both very clean. The only minor drawback was a bit of rust on the dishwasher, but it didn't affect its use. Parking and Transportation: The hotel parking is $35 per day with unlimited in-and-out access, which is very convenient. Do note that there aren't many drop-off spots at the entrance, so you might have to wait a bit during peak hours. The location is superb, within walking distance to the Mint and the pier. Thoughtful Service: During our stay, there was a long-distance running event that caused road closures. The hotel staff was very accommodating, allowing us to return the parking key after the event concluded, which saved us a lot of hassle. Conclusion: This is an apartment that excels in space, view, amenities, and service. It offers great value for money and I highly recommend it!

I arrived after 10 PM and completely overlooked the fact that I needed to inform the hotel in advance. I was worried I wouldn't be able to check in, but thankfully, after calling the hotel, I successfully received my room key. **⚠️A word of caution for those arriving after 10 PM⚠️** When I tried to walk to the hotel from the nearby bus stop shown on Google Maps, I unexpectedly encountered the famous stairs! If you're considering staying here, definitely check them out beforehand. They're quite a workout! 😂 However, the room itself was clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay!

We recently stayed at Wonil Hotel for a weekend getaway with my toddler, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience overall. We arrived late in the evening and were advised at check-in that there was no parking available, despite the booking information stating that parking was available and no reservation was required. As a solo parent travelling with a young child and luggage, this created a very stressful start to our stay. It took us 4 trips up and down between the basement and the room, and no assistance was offered by staff at check in. Soon after we transferred our luggage to the room, around 9pm, I had to drive along Hackett Drive towards Matilda Bay Restaurant to search for street parking. As a parent travelling alone with a toddler, I did not feel comfortable leaving my car there overnight. I then had to carry my child and walk several hundred metres back to the hotel in the dark, which was quite upsetting and honestly made me feel unsafe. During our stay, I could also regularly hear staff chatting at reception and complaining about other guests, which did not feel professional or welcoming. The hotel itself is relatively new and the location is excellent — close to the foreshore, playgrounds, walking trails and restaurants — which was the main reason I chose it. However, the overall build quality and room presentation were disappointing. Our bathroom sink was leaking, and there were visible cracks and defects in the bench and fittings. Before booking, I genuinely thought this could become one of our regular weekend getaway spots because the location has so much potential. Unfortunately, after this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning as a solo parent travelling with a child again.

I arrived at the airport in the evening and stayed one night nearby before picking up a rental car the next morning for a self-drive trip north. The hotel is close to the airport and offers a free shuttle bus, which is great! Service: You need to call the front desk for the shuttle after arriving, which was a bit of a challenge for my English listening skills, especially since the pick-up spot wasn't exactly as described online. Luckily, Perth Airport isn't too big. The next morning, I took the shuttle back to the airport to pick up my car, again for free. This is a huge plus in high-cost Australia 👍 Environment: The hotel is located by the highway, but the courtyard is quiet and clean. Hygiene: The windows in the room couldn't be opened, and there was a strong smell of cleaning solution that wouldn't dissipate. Other than that, everything else was fine.

Oaks Perth Hotel – Pros & Cons Pros - Excellent CBD location, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, Perth Train Station, Elizabeth Quay, and the free CAT buses. - Spacious rooms with a kitchenette. - Comfortable beds, clean rooms, and friendly staff. - Good value for money. - Our Deluxe Studio was quiet as it did not face the main street. - Special thanks to Shani, who was warm and welcoming, and provided us with lots of helpful information that made us feel comfortable throughout our 9 days 8 nights stay. Cons - Bathroom is dated, with no handheld shower and some mold in the bathtub corner. - No on-site parking, but the hotel offers an unlimited-entry nearby parking (just opposite the hotel- raine sq car park) pass for AUD30/day. Overall A great value hotel for exploring Perth. For a quieter stay, choose a Deluxe Studio or a room away from Murray Street.

Had a good stay here. The room was clean, and the environment was comfortable and quiet. The location is excellent, making it easy to get around for business. Service was standard. Recommended for business travelers needing a transitional stay. ✌️

There was an either Indian or Middle east guy at the reception was quite rude. When i came in to the counter he was looking at his computer, I have been standing there for more than 30 sec and he knew i was standing there, not even say a word to me. I was the one to say Hello, he tole me to wair and just let me hang in there and kept looking at his computer until the other female reception come. The guy was the worst reception i have ever come across, I think the hotel should raise their training standard. (For the other two female staffs I met was very nice and helpful)
