I personally feel that the Capitol Hotel Tokyu offers the best value for money among Tokyo's luxury hotels. Safety is, of course, a given, located in the very heart of the government district. Getting around is incredibly convenient, with direct access to Tameike-sanno Station. This station is rarely crowded, making commuting easy and stress-free. For shopping, you can take the Ginza Line directly to Mitsukoshimae Station, home to the Mitsukoshi Nihombashi main store, where tax refunds are quick due to fewer crowds. A taxi to Shinjuku Isetan costs around 2500 JPY. There's also a convenience store in the underground passage directly connected to the subway, though please note it's not open 24 hours. I highly recommend the Japanese breakfast, which is served by the Japanese restaurant Suiren. The quality is exceptional and very satisfying, but you need to order before 10:00 AM. Overall, whether you're in Japan for business, shopping, or suburban sightseeing, this hotel is extremely convenient, and the dining quality is excellent. You can even book a table directly at the restaurant to entertain clients or friends.

The hotel's location and surroundings are excellent. The only minor inconvenience was having to walk all the way around to access the garden downstairs; I'm not sure if we just missed a more direct entrance. On our second day in Tokyo, we experienced a typhoon with strong winds and heavy rain, but the soundproofing in the room was so good we couldn't hear a thing – it was incredibly quiet. Getting around was also very convenient, as it's close to the subway station, making it easy to reach popular areas like Shinjuku, Shibuya, and Ginza.

The hotel's location is excellent; you can see it right after exiting Odaiba Station on the Yurikamome Line. You can even wheel your luggage directly from the platform to the hotel lobby. The rooms offer fantastic views, either facing the Odaiba Rainbow Bridge or the ocean. Iconic landmarks and attractions like the Gundam statue, Statue of Liberty, and Rainbow Bridge are all within walking distance, and Fuji TV is right across the street. For dining, you have three restaurant choices. The sushi restaurant on the 30th floor offers a set menu, not a buffet, and there are no self-service soft drinks. For getting around, the Yurikamome Line is your best bet. If you head out early and return late, you'll be traveling against the peak hour traffic, and since the hotel is at the line's terminus, you'll almost always get a seat, which is a huge plus.

Everyone knows how it is with Tokyo hotels – you open your suitcase and there's no room to move. But that's definitely not the case at the Shiomi Prince. We had a triple room with three beds, and it still didn't feel cramped, which is a huge plus in Tokyo. The hotel itself isn't a traditional business hotel either; it has a strong sense of design. You can see the thought put into it right from the lobby: a massive modern art mural, high ceilings, low-saturation furniture, and even Japanese parasol decorations, blending modern design with traditional elements. It doesn't feel like they just piled on luxurious materials for the sake of it, but rather it's youthful, stylish, and has a touch of an art hotel. It's easy to snap some great photos there. What truly impressed me, though, was the breakfast. The breakfast selection itself was very rich, with plenty of Japanese, Western, hot dishes, vegetables, eggs, rice, and other options. But two things, in particular, are worth mentioning. One was the limited-edition bluefin tuna sashimi. It's rare to find bluefin tuna at a hotel breakfast, and here it was prepared by a chef on the spot. Even though it's limited, this kind of offering immediately sets it apart from a typical hotel buffet breakfast. The other thing I liked even more: the DIY onsen egg and beef bowl. You lay the beef over hot rice, then add two soft, runny onsen eggs. With a poke of the chopsticks, the orange yolk flows directly into the beef and rice, and it smells incredibly fragrant when mixed. For my breakfast, I'd also have bacon, fried eggs, broccoli, and pumpkin, followed by coffee with a muffin or doughnut – a full boost of energy to start the day.

We booked an executive floor room this time, and we were given one on the 37th floor. Breakfast can be enjoyed either on the executive floor or at the main restaurant on the 2nd floor. The room size was excellent; it wasn't cramped for two people! We could easily open two or three 28-inch suitcases. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and all the toiletries were L'Occitane. The shower pressure was also great~ The complimentary bottled water in the room came in aluminum bottles. The executive lounge also offered afternoon tea 🫖, and after 5 PM, it was happy hour with unlimited alcoholic beverages 🍹👍

I've stayed here before with my kids, and it was pretty good, though the hallway still had a bit of an old smell, probably because the building is a bit dated. That's why I chose this hotel again when I came to Tokyo with my wife. It's also quite convenient for getting around. The only thing was that there was a concert happening later, so we had to switch hotels on the third night.

The best value-for-money hotel suite in Tokyo. Excellent location, top-notch hotel service, and impeccable cleanliness and comfort. The value for money is outstanding. It's far more convenient and useful than typical five-star hotels! I've decided this will be my first choice for future trips to Tokyo. The hotel is located in the financial district, a 10-minute walk to the train station, and then you have access to all sorts of shopping, dining, museums, and art galleries!

This is our second time staying here. The hotel is right next to the Ariake Garden mall, practically seamlessly connected. There are plenty of dining options upstairs and shopping is very convenient. Downstairs, there's a large Aeon supermarket, and right outside its exit, at platform 1, you can catch the bus to Haneda Airport. There's also a big Muji store nearby. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Ginza from its basement level. While the hotel is situated between two subway lines, neither is too far away, making this location excellent value for money. We booked a family room for two adults and two children, which had four beds. The bathroom and toilet were separate (wet and dry areas), and the room layout was quite good.

I initially expected self-check-in, but I was pleasantly surprised to find two staff members on duty both day and night, and they were incredibly helpful. I wonder if that's because there were many complaints 🤭. The location is quite convenient, though it's a bit hidden and right at a crossroads, making it easy to go in the wrong direction. There were quite a few foreign guests, so the front desk staff spoke English. The place was relatively clean, and the room I chose felt spacious. I'd consider staying here again. For breakfast, I planned to go to Hoshino Coffee, but it wasn't open yet. By chance, I stumbled upon an even better retro Japanese cafe right across the street. It opens at 9 AM and is definitely worth trying.

Overall, the hotel left a pleasant impression. The location is excellent: there are several metro stations nearby, making it very convenient to get to any part of Tokyo. The breakfasts were tasty and varied – that's one of the hotel's main advantages. The room turned out to be quite small, which is expected for Tokyo, but there wasn't much free space. Also, the duvet cover was a bit surprising – it had a very unusual design and wasn't very convenient to use. A particular downside was the air conditioning. Over four nights, I couldn't manage to set a comfortable temperature: either the room was too cold, or the air conditioner barely blew at all. I couldn't find a happy medium. Otherwise, the hotel is good, especially if a convenient location and a good breakfast are important to you.
