Hello, I’m a traveler from Korea who recently stayed at Starhotels during a family trip to Italy.
Our 4-day stay in Rome was so wonderful that I felt compelled to write this heartfelt review as soon as I returned home.
This trip was our very first family vacation to Europe — with my mother and my son — and we spent the first three days in Rome at Starhotels. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations: the excellent location, the spotless rooms, and most of all, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made our stay incredibly comfortable. We were so satisfied that we decided to return to Starhotels for our final night in Italy. However, due to a mistake on my part, I accidentally booked the wrong date.
After completing a long 11-day journey through southern Italy, we returned to Rome exhausted — only to realize the booking was incorrect when we arrived at the hotel.
It was a stressful and overwhelming moment… until Mr. Tofael M., the manager, kindly stepped in to help us.
Before even fully understanding the issue, Mr. Tofael looked us — especially my son — in the eyes and simply said, “Don’t worry.I’ll find a solution for you.” Those few words brought such relief and comfort. In a foreign country, such a mistake can feel paralyzing, but his calm and genuine reassurance made a huge difference.
Even more touching was how Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola S. at the front desk went out of their way to find a solution for us. Since the booking was made through an external site (not directly through the hotel), it was a complicated issue. Nevertheless, Mr. Tofael personally made multiple calls and followed up diligently until he was able to resolve the matter.
Thanks to his efforts, we were able to spend our last night in Italy exactly where we wanted — back at Starhotels, feeling safe and cared for.
As someone who has worked for years in global hotel chains in Korea and is still in the hospitality industry, I can honestly say that their professionalism and dedication truly stood out.
They are a model of what true hoteliers should be — and they absolutely deserve recognition and praise.
Without hesitation, I will choose this hotel again when I return to Rome. I also plan to recommend Starhotels, along with the outstanding service of Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola, to as many people as possible through blogs, travel communities, and any platform I can.

DDmitrii L.I liked the hotel. The location is great: it's on the outskirts of the city, but it's in a very nice area. The train and metro stations are within walking distance, and there are buses stopping right next to the hotel, making it easy to get to the historic city center. The staff is very friendly. The room is clean and very comfortable. There's a small refrigerator in the room. The breakfast is very generous and delicious. And the coffee is simply excellent.

AAngelina Lim ALWe enjoyed our hotel stay in Nord Nuova overall. Reception was accommodating to allow us to store our big luggages before check in as we were travelling to Naples for a few days before check in. Special thanks to Riccardo from reception. Kimo, bellman was nice too to help with the luggages.
Location was perfect if you want to be near to Roma Termini station. Hotel location is also not very far from Colliseum or Spanish Steps. About 30 mins walk (if you don’t get distracted along the way 😉).
Hotel amenities were adequate. But the heated towel rack were not on during our 1N stay for us to enjoy “warm” towels.
Overall we would recommend people to stay in this hotel. 👍

LLiubov BelogolovaiaWe stayed at this hotel from November 13th to 18th, 2025! The reception is open 24 hours a day, and Gemma, the Russian-speaking staff, speaks the language perfectly and takes care of all your needs! The breakfasts are wonderful, I've attached a photo, and the room has shampoo and shower gel! There's a kitchen where we cooked, which is very convenient! There's a Carrefour supermarket near the hotel! Victoria, a Russian woman, makes wonderful coffee for breakfast! The hotel has a unique feature: air conditioning, powered by stationary equipment, like a smart home! We stayed in room 503, and the door was accidentally left open and it was very cold at night, but our issue was quickly resolved. We invited master Luca, who moved the closet and sealed everything tightly. The following nights were comfortably warm! The Vatican is nearby, so the hotel is very conveniently located! But I want to warn you that you should arrive from the direction of the St. Peter's Basilica bus stop, take bus numbers 62 and 64! Don't take the metro!!!!! The stairs from the metro are very steep and difficult to climb with a suitcase! So, it's better to take the bus stop. I've included photos below of how to get there! Everything is within walking distance!

GGuest UserThe room was very spacious and comfortable, and the bedding – sheets, duvet covers, and pillows – was equally pleasant. It's conveniently located very close to the Vatican, with a taxi ride costing only 20 Euros. Each room comes with a balcony, and the air quality was quite good. However, the room temperature wasn't individually adjustable. It was 28°C (82°F) during our summer stay, and it got so hot that we had to wait until after 9 AM the following day for someone from maintenance to adjust it. There's a pool downstairs which seemed quite clean, but access isn't direct; you need to pick up a pass from the front desk first.

JJIAKANGImpressed, the hotel location is great, especially the room facing the Colosseum. The hotel staff is very conscious of service. When they leave the hotel, they also take their luggage and take a taxi, because the birthday, the hotel specially prepared birthday cakes, cookies Blessing card, send a bottle of champagne, have kitchen cooking for breakfast, get up early to watch the Colosseum morning glow, bathing facilities are very good, water temperature adjustment is very convenient, the room is rich in decoration, and the Chinese like to drink hot water. The water is relatively clean

The location is very convenient, close to public transportation, restaurants, and main attractions, which made traveling around the city easy and comfortable. I was there with my mom and grandmother, they enjoyed a lot, nice restaurant, mini market in the village, clean space and with everything that we need. I really recommend it!! AAnonymous UserTraveling to Rome, I unexpectedly booked this Ibis, which is exceptionally good value. It is less than a kilometer walk from the subway. The hotel is next to a quiet community on a high ground. It is very quiet, and people are running in the early morning. The transportation is convenient, and the nearby bus and light rail are good to go everywhere. The key is that the breakfast is particularly rich. There is a Chinese restaurant opened by Wenzhou people next to the subway station. Occasionally, you can adjust your stomach. It is not expensive and quite authentic. I went out to play in Pompeii for a day, and the luggage was stored in the hotel. The service was also very good. It will still be my first choice next time I come.

GGuest UserWe appreciated the helpfulness of staff when we had booking issues. They worked hard to accommodate our family of 6 on a very difficult night (new years eve). They were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The hotel is also fairly close to the train station which worked well for our family for visiting Rome.
