A stay at Hotel San Marco places you in the heart of Rome, within a 15-minute walk of Piazza della Repubblica and Via Nazionale. This hotel is 0.7 mi (1.1 km) from Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and 1 mi (1.7 km) from Via Veneto. Make use of convenient amenities such as complimentary wireless internet access, a television in a common area, and tour/ticket assistance. Take advantage of the hotel's room service (during limited hours). Wrap up your day with a drink at the bar/lounge. Local cuisine breakfasts are available daily from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM for a fee. Featured amenities include express check-in, express check-out, and a 24-hour front desk. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours). Make yourself at home in one of the 81 guestrooms featuring refrigerators and LCD televisions. Rooms have private balconies. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and satellite programming is available for your entertainment. Private bathrooms with shower/tub combinations feature bidets and hair dryers.

"Location is quite convenient. Around 13mins walk from Rome Termani Station, where the main trains depart from/arrive into, and where the airport shuttle buses are located. Close to multiple bus stops that takes you to the Colosseum, Pantheon, Tiber Island and other key attractions, and within walkable distance to Villa Borghese Gallery. There are a few restaurants that open till late night in the area and mini-supermarkets as well in the neighborhood. It's quiet and isn't noisy. Hotel has a lift that takes you up to your room, a locked room for storing baggage, and only a few stairs at the entrance so accessibility is good. Single room size is decent, with windows, and toilet with stand shower and stable hot water that doesn't fluctuate in temperature and good drainage, no leakage. Recommendation for the hotel to provide some more toiletries and basic amenities besides shower cap, as there are nothing else in the room. No hot water boiler, no hairdryer, no slippers. And I had to ask reception for blankets because housekeeping forgot to put new ones back onto the shelf. Staff is helpful and was able to give me the blankets I requested efficiently, which is clean and wrapped in plastic, so kudos for the hotel for having good hygiene. There is a fridge and a mini safe box though which is a plus. Cleanliness is above average, ventilation and air con/heating are also good. Overall room is good value for money, and is big enough for you to open a 28inches+ luggage fully. Check-in process is also speedy, WiFi is reliable."

With a stay at Barberini 16 Boutique Hotel in Rome (Rome City Centre), you'll be steps from Via Veneto and 8 minutes by foot from Spanish Steps. This hotel is 0.5 mi (0.7 km) from Trevi Fountain and 0.5 mi (0.8 km) from Piazza di Spagna. A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily from 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Make yourself at home in one of the 14 air-conditioned guestrooms. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Conveniences include safes, and housekeeping is provided daily.

"The location is excellent, right in front of the subway exit, and there's a bus stop directly outside (so people tend to gather there). There's a supermarket next door, and most attractions are within walking distance (though it's quite tiring, so cycling is more convenient). It's very easy to get to the Vatican and the Colosseum by subway. The front desk service was fantastic – warm and proactive. Even before checking in early in the morning, they invited us to slow down with a coffee (the best cappuccino I had in Rome!). We left early most days and didn't get to properly sit down for breakfast. On our check-out day, it was also too early for breakfast, but they still provided us with coffee and bread. Luggage storage was very convenient. The room wasn't large, and the air conditioning was just okay. Slippers were provided. The window overlooked an attraction, so it was a bit sunny. There's a cinema next door, which could occasionally be noisy at night, but the door insulation was good, so I couldn't hear any corridor sounds. The shower was incredibly powerful! The water pressure was strong and very comfortable!!! This was absolutely perfect!"

OOuhuajiaoyuIt was quite a challenging stay. The requests I made in the booking were completely ignored. Upon arrival, we had to change rooms, which seemed to upset the front desk staff quite a bit. A South Asian porter helped us with our luggage. I didn't have any small change, as I mostly pay with cards and rarely use cash, so I only gave him a 2 Euro coin as a tip. From that moment on, whenever he saw us, he showed absolutely no expression. I mean, it's not like I was going to give him a 200 or 500 Euro bill, right? Was it even worth that much? The hotel breakfast was excellent. The room, although not as good as the original one after the change, was still acceptable. The location is fantastic: just a few dozen meters from the train station, and there's an airport shuttle right outside. There are no issues with the location, and the area isn't as chaotic as some say. The only problem is that all the staff had rather cold and indifferent expressions, making you feel, for a moment, like you weren't even in Italy! I won't be staying here again, even with its many advantages. I just don't want to deal with their attitudes!

GGuest UserAn Unforgettable Stay with Exceptional Service at Starhotels Hello, I’m a traveler from Korea who recently stayed at Starhotels during a family trip to Italy. Our 4-day stay in Rome was so wonderful that I felt compelled to write this heartfelt review as soon as I returned home. This trip was our very first family vacation to Europe — with my mother and my son — and we spent the first three days in Rome at Starhotels. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations: the excellent location, the spotless rooms, and most of all, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made our stay incredibly comfortable. We were so satisfied that we decided to return to Starhotels for our final night in Italy. However, due to a mistake on my part, I accidentally booked the wrong date. After completing a long 11-day journey through southern Italy, we returned to Rome exhausted — only to realize the booking was incorrect when we arrived at the hotel. It was a stressful and overwhelming moment… until Mr. Tofael M., the manager, kindly stepped in to help us. Before even fully understanding the issue, Mr. Tofael looked us — especially my son — in the eyes and simply said, “Don’t worry.I’ll find a solution for you.” Those few words brought such relief and comfort. In a foreign country, such a mistake can feel paralyzing, but his calm and genuine reassurance made a huge difference. Even more touching was how Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola S. at the front desk went out of their way to find a solution for us. Since the booking was made through an external site (not directly through the hotel), it was a complicated issue. Nevertheless, Mr. Tofael personally made multiple calls and followed up diligently until he was able to resolve the matter. Thanks to his efforts, we were able to spend our last night in Italy exactly where we wanted — back at Starhotels, feeling safe and cared for. As someone who has worked for years in global hotel chains in Korea and is still in the hospitality industry, I can honestly say that their professionalism and dedication truly stood out. They are a model of what true hoteliers should be — and they absolutely deserve recognition and praise. Without hesitation, I will choose this hotel again when I return to Rome. I also plan to recommend Starhotels, along with the outstanding service of Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola, to as many people as possible through blogs, travel communities, and any platform I can. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

MMalu_BaI didn't have great expectations so I was surprised by how nice the place is. I was planning to stay 3 nights but have only a reservation for 1 night. 1 night was enough for me to decide to go to another hotel for the rest of the week. My room was small, facing a super busy area and when you open the windows, the noise from outside is a lot but windows are good and when you close them, there is no noise! They offered Rituals shampoo, body lotion, and soap. My favourite! So that was a huge Yes! The receptionists (I dealt with 3) were fantastic. They also have a huge communal bathroom you can use before checkin to freshen up. That was great as I arrived in Rome on the Milan-Rome sleeper train, and I needed some freshen up at 8am while checkin is at 2pm. The area is actually very quirky with lots of restaurants and nice quality shopping. Bed was comfortable but have only one bedside table. Air-conditioning worked very well. Now the bad things: * The hotel is super difficult to find for a hotel that is so visible. I missed it twice! And then I missed it again when I came back at night. Needs more visibility. * The shower is tiny. I mean, I have been in small showers but this one is extremely small, I am a medium size woman, and I was afraid of turning because it only have a curtain and I thought I would make a mess of the bathroom. Showering was super stressful. * There is NO TV!!! I was hoping to see the end of the Euro Women's Cup, but I had to go and find a bar for that... * The location was not good for me. It would be good if you wanted to go to the Colosseum, but that is about it. * They offered no free water in the rooms, their water costs 2 euros and it is room temperature because there is no minifridge. * They take a €100 deposit, which they give you back when you check out. I didn't have a credit card, which could do that as mine would either charge me or I lose on the exchange rate, so I have to pay cash. They only charged me €50. They gave me cash when I checked out.

AAngelina Lim ALWe enjoyed our hotel stay in Nord Nuova overall. Reception was accommodating to allow us to store our big luggages before check in as we were travelling to Naples for a few days before check in. Special thanks to Riccardo from reception. Kimo, bellman was nice too to help with the luggages. Location was perfect if you want to be near to Roma Termini station. Hotel location is also not very far from Colliseum or Spanish Steps. About 30 mins walk (if you don’t get distracted along the way 😉). Hotel amenities were adequate. But the heated towel rack were not on during our 1N stay for us to enjoy “warm” towels. Overall we would recommend people to stay in this hotel. 👍

GGuest UserThe room was very spacious and comfortable, and the bedding – sheets, duvet covers, and pillows – was equally pleasant. It's conveniently located very close to the Vatican, with a taxi ride costing only 20 Euros. Each room comes with a balcony, and the air quality was quite good. However, the room temperature wasn't individually adjustable. It was 28°C (82°F) during our summer stay, and it got so hot that we had to wait until after 9 AM the following day for someone from maintenance to adjust it. There's a pool downstairs which seemed quite clean, but access isn't direct; you need to pick up a pass from the front desk first.

SSonya_theoneWe've stayed at this hotel twice. The premium room and standard room only differ in size and the presence of a desk. The renovation is brand new, with a fresh and understated design. The elevator operates silently but is slow. The soundproofing between rooms could be better, but if you just need a place to sleep while traveling and want to quickly depart from Termini for other parts of Italy, it's ideal and budget-friendly.

GGuest UserWalls in our room were dirty and dusty. Mold in the bathroom and around our window. A/C controlled by front desk, so you have to call for them to turn it off and on, kind of annoying. Entrance to the museum of Vatican is across the street, so too many people in front of the hotel all the time. Noise in the morning from other guests and house keeping can get loud. Worst part is check out at 10am. Definitely not staying there again.

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this hotel and while there were a few positives, the overall experience was disappointing due to a series of overlooked details and frustrating issues. To start with the good—the staff were great: friendly, helpful, and informative. They made an effort to assist whenever asked, and that hospitality was appreciated. The location was decent, about a 30-minute bus ride to the city center. It’s not exactly central, but manageable if you’re okay with the commute. The room was reasonably clean upon arrival, but the quality of housekeeping declined quickly. A lotion stain I accidentally left on the shower floor was never cleaned, and instead of actually scrubbing the area, housekeeping simply placed a mat over it—as if to hide it. Initially, the room came stocked with two sets of towels, but after the first day, only one of each was replaced. While the booking was for one person, maintaining the original quantity would have shown a bit more care and consistency. There were several small inconveniences that added up. For example, the room phone had no directory, so I had no idea how to contact the front desk or reach any services. On top of that, the air conditioning didn’t work for the first two days, which turned out to be because the previous guest had asked for it to be turned off, and it was never reset. It took me that long to realize I had to ask the concierge to enable it again. In a properly managed hotel, the AC should be reset and ready for the next guest without needing to make a request. The continental breakfast was another letdown. The scrambled eggs were dry, lumpy, and had a strange grey tint. The bacon and sausages were cold, and orange juice was served in plastic cups. There was very little fresh fruit, and to top it off, they had a random speaker on the floor playing radio ads during breakfast—a strange and unpleasant ambiance for a morning meal. I’m glad I didn’t pay for breakfast for my entire stay, because it definitely wasn’t worth it. The Wi-Fi was by far the worst I’ve encountered in any hotel. It disconnected constantly and, when connected, barely reached speeds of 5 Mbps. For a hotel in a tourist-heavy area, this is unacceptable and suggests a clear lack of awareness of guest needs—especially for travelers who rely on Wi-Fi to plan outings or stay in touch. Noise was another major issue. The elevator makes a blaring siren-like noise when it opens, which woke me up every single morning. The walls and doors are paper-thin, making it easy to hear people walking or talking outside, and the doors slam shut loudly, adding to the disturbance. Finally, while not the hotel’s fault, there were a few homeless individuals living around the property, which might make some guests feel uneasy, particularly at night. All in all, while the staff were excellent and the location worked, there were just too many frustrating and avoidable issues—poor housekeeping, unusable Wi-Fi, subpar breakfast, noise problems, and a lack of attention to guest experience basics. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless the hotel makes significant improvements across the board.

FFawad Traveller UKFrom the moment we arrived at Fabulous Village in Rome, we were genuinely impressed. As soon as you enter the property, you are welcomed by extremely professional, respectful, and friendly security staff. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and the reception team was very helpful. They took the time to explain all the facilities available and even shared how magical and dream-like the place becomes during the summer months which honestly made us want to come back again! We were assigned House **147**, and I must say, it completely exceeded our expectations. For the very reasonable and justified price we paid, what we got was unbelievable. The accommodation included **three bunk beds and one double bed**, which was perfect and very spacious. The kitchen was decent and well-equipped with everything you might need, the toilet was clean and well-maintained, and the additional heating was fantastic especially appreciated during cooler weather. Overall, I am more than satisfied with the stay and felt the value for money was outstanding. That said, there is **one area that really needs improvement**, and I’m confident we are not the only guests who’ve faced this issue: the **laundry service**. While it’s good that laundry facilities are available, they are **painfully expensive** (€5 for 30 minutes of washing and €4.50 for 35 minutes of drying), and unfortunately, the instructions are very unclear and difficult to follow. Because of this lack of guidance, it’s very easy to make a mistake — and if you do, the machine simply resets, keeps your money, and does not return it. In our case, we put our clothes in the machine, paid €5 for the wash, and it started correctly. Due to the unclear instructions, we assumed we needed to insert the €4.50 in advance so that the dryer would start automatically after washing. We did so but the machine did nothing and still took our money. When we went to reception, only security was available (it was 23:38), and they informed us that nothing could be done until morning. Unfortunately, we had to check out before 06:00, so we never got our €4.50 back. Aside from this laundry issue, everything else about Fabulous Village was excellent from the staff and accommodation to the overall atmosphere. With clearer instructions and better handling of laundry-related issues, this place would easily be close to perfect. **Highly recommended**, and I would absolutely stay here again — hopefully next time in summer! 🌞✨

AAnonymous UserTraveling to Rome, I unexpectedly booked this Ibis, which is exceptionally good value. It is less than a kilometer walk from the subway. The hotel is next to a quiet community on a high ground. It is very quiet, and people are running in the early morning. The transportation is convenient, and the nearby bus and light rail are good to go everywhere. The key is that the breakfast is particularly rich. There is a Chinese restaurant opened by Wenzhou people next to the subway station. Occasionally, you can adjust your stomach. It is not expensive and quite authentic. I went out to play in Pompeii for a day, and the luggage was stored in the hotel. The service was also very good. It will still be my first choice next time I come.
