"The rooms and decor are quite refined and very photogenic. Although the room is small, it's fully equipped. It's very close to Termini Station and not far from the main attractions. There are plenty of supermarkets and dining options nearby; the closest supermarket is just around the corner, about 50 meters away on foot. If you arrive early or leave late, you can store your luggage yourself in a small room next to the front desk, which might be a coffee room. I personally feel it's safe. The coffee room has water and a restroom, making it convenient to sit and rest. The hotel has a small, old-fashioned elevator, but there's a flight of stairs from the entrance to the elevator, which can be a bit challenging if you have large suitcases. The shower stall is a bit peculiar, with half glass and half curtain, but it's generally functional. The room heating is excellent; after getting caught in the rain outside, it was instantly warm and dry inside!"

"The location is just a 3-minute walk from the Rome train station. The service is good and the breakfast is rich. Unfortunately, there is no kettle, so we can't drink boiling water or hot tea. However, the waiter in the breakfast restaurant was happy to help us fill the insulated kettle in the kitchen during breakfast. The pot lasts for a day, haha"

"The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. However, the shower door was misaligned and never fixed. The lift was not working on the first day, though a porter helped carry our luggage for free. Location is about a 9-minute walk to the bus/metro station. There was no free twin room option and the upgrade was mandatory, as split beds were not possible for the room we booked, which was disappointing. The upgrade made the stay expensive, and the price dropped significantly afterwards, so booking early on Trip.com did not feel worth the value."

"Comfortable location, comfortable in the room, the price for Rome is relatively small. The settlement is automatic, everything went quickly and clear. It was pleasant to surprise that we were given 4 bottles of water and delicious chocolate. The lobby also had a tea and coffee, with a huge selection of caramel candy."

"The location is easy to find as it is closed to the railway and coach station, very convenient for arriving in Rome and departing to the airport. It is closed to most of main landmarks as well (colosseum, fountain of Trevi, Vatican, etc). Reception's employees speak english and are friendly as well as knowledgeable. The room was as expected and clean. Overall, a good value for money"

"The hotel is situated in central Rome, opposite the train station, and in the city center so its easy and convenient to get around the city. The HOp on and Hop off bus tickets can be bought from the hotel reception. However this hotel is very old, the rooms are old and not very well kept. We booked a standard room, and then paid 60 euros more to upgrade to a superior room which wasn't actually superior. The floors are old and the whole look of the room is very old. The bathroom has a tub and hand shower and the temperature of the water keeps on changing so you need to becareful not to get burnt or not to get too cold. The staff are great though, very helpful and always there to help if you need anything. Breakfast was just ok, nothing special, and there can be more of a variety. The elevator is very small so if you don't like being in small spaces, best to take the stairs."

"I had an amazing stay at Hostel Castello Maggione in Rome truly a 5-star experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. They were friendly, helpful, and always ready with great tips about the city. The location is perfect close to major attractions and well connected by public transport, making it super easy to explore Rome. The atmosphere in the hostel is relaxed and social, ideal for meeting other travelers while still being able to enjoy some quiet time when needed. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the common areas were cozy and inviting. Everything felt safe and well organized, which made my stay stress-free. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Great value for money, excellent service, and a fantastic vibe. An Unforgettable Stay with Exceptional Service at Starhotels Hello, I’m a traveler from Korea who recently stayed at Starhotels during a family trip to Italy. Our 4-day stay in Rome was so wonderful that I felt compelled to write this heartfelt review as soon as I returned home. This trip was our very first family vacation to Europe — with my mother and my son — and we spent the first three days in Rome at Starhotels. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations: the excellent location, the spotless rooms, and most of all, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made our stay incredibly comfortable. We were so satisfied that we decided to return to Starhotels for our final night in Italy. However, due to a mistake on my part, I accidentally booked the wrong date. After completing a long 11-day journey through southern Italy, we returned to Rome exhausted — only to realize the booking was incorrect when we arrived at the hotel. It was a stressful and overwhelming moment… until Mr. Tofael M., the manager, kindly stepped in to help us. Before even fully understanding the issue, Mr. Tofael looked us — especially my son — in the eyes and simply said, “Don’t worry.I’ll find a solution for you.” Those few words brought such relief and comfort. In a foreign country, such a mistake can feel paralyzing, but his calm and genuine reassurance made a huge difference. Even more touching was how Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola S. at the front desk went out of their way to find a solution for us. Since the booking was made through an external site (not directly through the hotel), it was a complicated issue. Nevertheless, Mr. Tofael personally made multiple calls and followed up diligently until he was able to resolve the matter. Thanks to his efforts, we were able to spend our last night in Italy exactly where we wanted — back at Starhotels, feeling safe and cared for. As someone who has worked for years in global hotel chains in Korea and is still in the hospitality industry, I can honestly say that their professionalism and dedication truly stood out. They are a model of what true hoteliers should be — and they absolutely deserve recognition and praise. Without hesitation, I will choose this hotel again when I return to Rome. I also plan to recommend Starhotels, along with the outstanding service of Mr. Tofael and Ms. Paola, to as many people as possible through blogs, travel communities, and any platform I can. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

It's a great hotel. The photo on the profile isn't of the hotel itself, but rather a view from it, but the hotel itself is also decent. It's clean, has a full breakfast, and is conveniently located in every way. It's one of the few hotels with actually functioning air conditioning.

We stayed as a family in a premium bungalow, it is very clean and well equipped. Im honestly really impressed how clean it is. All the linen, towels, duvet are spotless. There is a dishwasher, but we didnt have a dishwasher cleaning tablets, so we couldn’t use it. There is a bbq, we didnt use it either. The pools amenities are fantastic and really clean. There are a few eateries, a shop, a laundry. Our location was far from the pool and playgrounds, the closer units might be challenging to stay in with kids, there is a lot happening and it is loud late in the evening. Overall we really enjoyed it and kids loved it. We didnt need the shuttle bus, so cant comment on it. The only thing is that after a checkout I entered a shop to buy something and kept my credit card in my pocket, when I wanted to pay at a cashier, my card disappeared. I searched the small shop in case it fell out but no success. So I guess you have to be careful.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Grand Master Suite! It was a spontaneous booking, but it turned out to be one of the best stays we’ve ever had. The location is unbeatable—right in the middle of Via del Corso, making everything so easy to reach. Security was excellent as well. The main gate is accessible only with a room card, and there’s an additional door before the room that also requires card access, which made us feel very safe and comfortable. The service was wonderful. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer all of our questions. From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of. And the room—absolutely TOP TIER! It was spacious enough for the four of us, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean. Every corner felt well thought out. The terrace was truly unforgettable—I could see the Monument to Victor Emmanuel II on the left and Piazza del Popolo on the right. Waking up to that view was simply magical. This hotel is highly, highly recommended. We would definitely stay here again! 🌟

A great location which is near to Termini station in Rome. You can basically go around Rome from this hotel for its convenient location. Our room is good enough, two single beds put together and there was also an extra bed which we did not expect but all good. The bed and pillows are soft enough and the AC is cool enough for a hot summer in Rome. The amenities inside are basic but enough for our needs. Great for a quick 2 or 3 days in Rome and it is not expensive at all.

We got here at 11h and check is was only at 3pm ; without even asking they decided to upgrade our room so we would have 2 rooms as we were tra Eli g with our kids AND the upgraded room was ready immediately ! There is a lobby to check in but the hotel room was actually a few streets away. The bellman walked with us to our room and showed us where everything was super nicely. - the mini fridge was stocked with Coca Cola, juice water beer and wine (2 of everything !) we were there 3 days and used everything. Surprisingly the extra charge was only 15 euro ! - great location about 50meters (exactly 80 seconde walk) from the trevi fountain. - the street is really buisy with all the restaurants and merchants and shops but being on the 3rd floor we heard nothing and felt very safe. Would recommend 100% and would go back here if we came to Roma again.
