"The location was really great! It is near the train station and the grand cathedral. Christmas markets are walking distance.. the further ones, you can choose to take the tram which is a hop-on, hop-off round trip. Not much facilities, and the room we got was super small, so 2 pax plus luggage was really a challenge to move around. There are bigger rooms based on the floor plan, so it will differ depending on which rooms you booked. When we entered the room, we found hair on the bed, which was supposed to be clean and turned-over. And they do not do daily cleaning, you have to book it for the next day if you want the room to be cleaned. The cleaning is free. Overall, I would recommend it because of the location."

"The hotel is situated at around 5 minute walk from the Train Station. We arrived the hotel by a late ICE train at night, there is no problem regarding safety or ease of access. The reception is 24 hours manned, and has a self-service drink kiosk which you find rare to be free on European budget hotel chains. Overall lovely staff and big hotel. Note this hotel has only stair access, but to be fair for the price we paid for it is totally acceptable."

"I stayed at NH Collection Köln Mediapark for two nights. Reception and the general hotel operation were good, but the room and housekeeping were unacceptable. The bathroom radiator/heater did not work. There were used water bottles and trash left in the room, and they were not removed. Slippers were not placed in the room at all; they only provided them after I specifically asked. The towels were old and worn out. Room cleaning was also not done properly during my stay. In two days, the room was not cleaned. Only the bed was arranged, but the bins were not emptied and the trash was not taken out. The overall quality was below average, and the hotel does not deserve its rating."

Sauna only open from 17h to 22h....and you need to pay for it 9.50€... All these things were not mentioned. There is like a self checkin, which is fast but nothing personal. Check out is on a computer that works half, so a staff member needs to stay next to that computer. It makes 0.0 sense. I wanted to have some relax time... I'll look for it somewhere else next time"
