Classyc Hotel

9.6/10
Amazing

Don’t waste your time looking anywhere else in Hanoi—just book Classyc! My husband and I travel quite frequently, and we can confidently say this was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From start to finish, every detail felt thoughtful, warm, and genuinely exceptional. We initially booked the Grand Suite for 3 days and 2 nights before heading off on a Ha Long Bay cruise, then returned to Classyc for the remainder of our stay. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with cold towels, welcome drinks, and snacks—such a refreshing and thoughtful touch after traveling. The service throughout our stay was impeccable. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always going above and beyond. Arthur personally escorted us to our room and even checked in with us later that evening via message to ensure everything was perfect. We were also welcomed with chocolates in the room, which made the experience feel even more personal. It’s the little touches that truly set this hotel apart. We received complimentary wine vouchers, spa discounts, and consistently warm, attentive service at every interaction. When we returned from Ha Long Bay, it genuinely felt like we were coming home. Walking into our new room to find a heart-shaped chocolate mousse cake and a handwritten welcome-back note from the team was such a thoughtful and memorable surprise There was also a moment that really reflected the hotel’s integrity and commitment to guest satisfaction. We had booked a signature spa package, not realizing it wasn’t included in the 20% discount promotion. While we didn’t raise any concerns, the staff proactively followed up the next day at breakfast, apologized for the confusion, and extended the discount to us anyway. We were genuinely touched by this gesture—it spoke volumes about how much they care about their guests’ experience. On our final day, we had some time to spare before our flight. After exploring the city, we returned to the hotel and the staff kindly offered us access to the spa facilities so we could freshen up before heading to the airport—an incredibly thoughtful and appreciated gesture. They also arranged a luxury transfer for us, complete with comfortable seats and even a massage function, which made the journey that much more enjoyable! As we were leaving, one of the staff members surprised us with a beautiful ceramic wind chime symbolizing positive energy and good luck. It was such a meaningful and heartfelt farewell, and a perfect end to an already unforgettable stay. A few additional highlights worth mentioning: - A great breakfast spread with plenty of variety - A lovely rooftop pool area to unwind - Reno Bar downstairs, which became one of our favorite spots in Hanoi—fantastic cocktails, delicious bar snacks, a cool retro vibe, and great music. During our visit with some friends they even surprised us with a complimentary tray of shots! Classyc is more than just a hotel—it’s an experience defined by genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and heartfelt service. We’re already looking forward to our next trip to Hanoi, just so we can stay here again!

Solaria Hotel Hanoi

9.5/10

I’ve been to Hanoi a few times and hotel service here is generally good, but Solaria truly stood out for us from the moment we stepped in, all the way to when we left and were warmly sent off by the porter. The level of service was impeccable. The hotel itself was excellent, cleanliness, welcome drinks, snacks, and overall comfort were all on point. Everything felt thoughtful and well taken care of. A special shoutout to two wonderful staff members who made our stay even more memorable: 1. Daria: During breakfast, we asked about the special chili salt powder served with fruits (it was amazingly tasty!). Daria not only explained where we could get it from a local mart, but also thoughtfully packed some in a container for us to bring home. Funny enough, we loved it so much that we bought fresh mango that same night and finished everything immediately! 2. Lily (Reception): We would like to give our heartfelt compliments to her, who assisted us from our first day to the last. She brought us on a room tour, polite, friendly, and answered all our typical tourist questions with ease. As we had requested a high floor, we were assigned one of the highest floors in the hotel. Lily thoughtfully informed us that the restaurant is located right above and operates until 10pm, so there might be slight noise until then. She checked if we were light sleepers and offered us the option to change to a lower floor for the remaining nights if it became an issue. The next morning at breakfast, she personally checked in with us again regarding the room, and it turned out to be perfectly fine for us, we didn’t notice much noise as we were still awake around that time. Since this was our anniversary trip (which I had indicated in the hotel remarks), our room was beautifully decorated with towel-shaped swans and rose petals, a really lovely touch. The next morning at breakfast, after our meal, Lily came by and presented us with a specially made coconut pandan pudding dessert. She shared that it was prepared for us today as we seemed a little tired from traveling the day before. During breakfast as well, Lily brought up about our request with housekeeping team for a firm pillow from the night before. Although we were initially told only one type was available, she took the initiative to explain and said she would try to source one for us. That very night, I received a firm pillow, truly thoughtful service. Lily also helped us plan our travel time to the airport, offered to assist with booking the hotel spa via her personal contact, and gave fantastic local food recommendations like chĂĄo sườn with quáș©y and rÆ°á»Łu (sadly the shop was closed when we arrived, but it’s definitely on my list for my next trip to Hanoi). What really stood out is how Lily picks up on small cues and chooses the right moment to communicate, making everything feel very natural and personalized rather than forced. There was even more she helped us with along the way, always attentive and proactive, which really made a difference to our stay. To top it all off, during checkout, we were gifted local souvenirs, Trung Nguyen coffee drip filter and coffee powder, which was such a lovely and thoughtful gesture. Overall, an outstanding stay. Highly recommended, and we will definitely return on our next trip to Hanoi đŸ©·

We had an impeccable experience at the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi. The value for money is excellent; you truly feel like you're staying in a palace while enjoying reasonable prices. Even the most basic rooms are spacious, elegant, and equipped with high-quality amenities, especially very comfortable bedding and linens. The common areas are magnificent and perfectly maintained. Whether it's the pool, the spa, breakfast, or the various restaurants, all the services offered are top-notch. The food and drinks are also excellent, both at breakfast and in the hotel's different establishments. We were particularly and pleasantly surprised by the staff's attitude. Every team member demonstrates great hospitality, a genuine sense of service, and a lot of kindness. Everyone goes above and beyond to ensure the stay runs perfectly. Between the small touches, kind words, and warm conversations, each guest truly feels unique. The hotel is slightly away from the center, but it's still very easy to reach the city center and the historic district. I highly recommend this establishment!

Hanoi le Chateau Hotel & Spa

We stayed at hotel chateau de hanoi for 2 nights and overall, it was an under-average experience. For its price (pre-discount and considering we were in Vietnam) it might not be that worth it. We booked the hotel because of its high-rated reviews and its branding as a 5 star boutique hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted with welcome drinks and the staff was friendly. We arrived hanoi quite early, so we asked if we could do an early check-in. We were informed by the staff that an early check-in was not impossible, but there was an extra charge. It was however totally understandable that the hotel has their arrangements so we went along with the regular check-in time, but the staff quite passive aggressively told us that they informed us on WhatsApp— we were on a flight and later on a Grab to the hotel so we were unable to read the message entirely. I would expect a 5-star service to be more understanding. To be very honest, I would doubt if the hotel qualifies to be categorized into a 5-star hotel. Of course, the hotel provides customers with all the necessary amenities like toothbrush and shaving kits, but the hotel room didn’t have a window and lighting was insufficient. There was a bathtub, but there was no proper standing shower and it was just a shower head next to the toilet without curtains or doors. The twin bed was extremely small and too easy to be moved around (in a sense that if I wanted to sit at the edge of bed, the mattress would slide to that side). Hygiene was fine but some areas such as the wall and the bathing area could be improved. We ran out of tissue paper in the room as well but after housekeeping the box was still empty and not replaced with a new box of tissue. Soundproofing at the hotel was not solid since we could constantly hear noises from next door during midnight. In our booking package free breakfast was included, so we checked it out in the morning. A small buffet was provided, but the plates and utensils had oil on them. There was a set menu, but the scrambled eggs were not up to par and the pho was okay. Considering the hotel brands itself as a 5-star hotel, I would expect better hygiene and quality check. Location-wise, the hotel is located at the heart of Old Quarter. It is convenient but this also means traffic can get very hectic nearby. Moreover we realized the staff was getting less and less friendly as we reached the end of our stay. It would be nice if their attitude and service could be more consistent, again, given it is a 5-star hotel.

Excellent customer service from the staff. The location was prime and close to everything. Two minute walk away from the lake. ïżŒ ïżŒI had book for the deluxe room for the first two days they put me in a smaller room and then they said they were gonna upgrade me. Not sure if it was an upgrade or downgrade. The photos on the website showed that it was a stand in shower but the first two days I had a tub shower. Shower had a tiny bit of mold but this is nitpicking. ïżŒ Other than the shower issue, everything went well. The staff is ultra friendly. Very nice, care about you. They know you by name and room number so it shows that they’re very tentative . I definitely would recommend this hotel to anybody. ïżŒ On the last note, the hotel that offered to book me a taxi to the airport, initially they quoted me 400,000 but I said grab was cheaper and then they quoted me 230,000 with discount. I couldn’t help me disappointed that I got quoted at the higher price first instead of just automatically giving me the discount. It would’ve definitely gave me a better impression. ïżŒ I’m not sure if it was the language barrier and they did offer the discount, because I’m from South Vietnam and the dialect is different in the north. I just hope I’m wrong.

Splendid Premium Hotel

Stayed at Splendid Premium Hotel in Hanoi. Very good location - right in the center, near Hoan Kiem Lake, with many restaurants, cafes, and massage places around. Also close to the sightseeing bus stop and the water puppet theatre. Rooms depend on the category. Basic rooms may have a window facing an internal corridor, so no natural light or fresh air. Better to choose a room with a proper window if possible. The room had all essentials - kettle, tea, toiletries, clean towels, and comfortable beds. Shower drainage could be improved. Safe was provided upon request. Staff were very friendly and attentive - welcome tea, small snacks, and help with luggage. There is a rooftop pool (covered) and a lounge area. Overall, a good option for a short stay with strong location and good value for money.

MAY DE VILLE Lakeside Hotel

Best overall value in Old Quarter – no construction noise, great breakfast and views with hospitable staff! After many hours researching 80+ five-star hotels in Hanoi, we finally chose May De Ville Lakeside for our own five-day stay and future family group tour. I visited other properties but it is well managed with a team of hospitality professionals. May De Ville Lakeside genuinely offers the best value for money we found. Why we loved it: ‱ No construction noise or late-night parties, rare in the Old Quarter ‱ Welcoming, multilingual staff that delivered genuine Vietnamese hospitality ‱ Prime location, walkable but peaceful to the lake. Everything outside the front door, restaurants and shopping with a great in-house spa. ‱ Scenic rooftop bar and a rooftop pool, perfect for relaxing before our late-night flight ‱ Affordable spa indulgence ‱ The buffet breakfast overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake was the best we had in a month of Asian travels with Mr. Richard readily topping up our coffee. Mrs. Hannah was most perceptive to resolve one issue but all staff are proactive to ensure a comfortable stay for all guests. Tips: * We initially booked a “Deluxe Internal Window” on first night which was suitable for short stay but moved to a Premier City View room for four nights that was great. But be careful: many of the cheaper “lead-in” rates are for rooms with only an internal window (no outside view). * Read the room features carefully before booking. Great sunset views from rooms ending in 07, 05 and 03 on west side. * Trust reviews from the booking platform you normally use and consider becoming a member for better benefits. Overall, this hotel ticks all the boxes. We would happily stay again and will return later this year with our large extended family of four generations. Only complaint was Price Match policy where we could have saved money to spend in the Rooftop Bar ;-(

This hotel is tucked away in an alley near Hoan Kiem Lake. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a lovely fragrance. Its location, a bit removed from the busiest areas, ensures a great night's sleep. With a spa and a sky bar, it offers a really comprehensive experience. The breakfast is fresh and has a wide variety of options. But the best part, hands down, is how incredibly nice the staff are. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

I had an amazing stay at Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi Golden Lake and it was truly one of the most unique hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, the service felt luxurious and welcoming. The complimentary macarons on arrival were a lovely touch and immediately set the tone for the stay. The hotel’s attention to detail and presentation really stood out throughout the entire experience. The room itself was incredibly spacious, modern, and comfortable, with stunning views across Hanoi. Large windows filled the room with natural light, and the overall atmosphere felt elegant and relaxing. Of course, the biggest highlight was the hotel’s signature gold-themed interior. The golden bath and even the gold toilet made the stay feel both extravagant and memorable , definitely something you don’t experience every day. Everything was beautifully designed and added to the hotel’s unique character. Another standout feature was the famous gold infinity pool. Swimming there while overlooking the city skyline was unforgettable. The rooftop atmosphere was calm and luxurious, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the views. Overall, Dolce by Wyndham Hanoi Golden Lake offers a truly distinctive luxury experience with spacious rooms, exceptional views, unique golden dĂ©cor, and excellent hospitality. I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi and looking for something memorable and different.

The hotel itself was quite good—not too dated, and the breakfast was nice. However, the attitude from staff was disappointing. We declined room service and instead collected water from the counter ourselves each day. On one occasion, we didn’t collect it in the morning, and when we asked for water at night, a staff member refused to provide it and told us to purchase from the hotel shop instead—but the shop had also run out of bottled water. This felt both ridiculous and unreasonable.
