Heading to Macau? You’ll love how easy it is to get around with the Macau Light Rapid Transit (LRT). It’s clean, modern, and perfect for travelling between the airport, Taipa, and Cotai resort areas.
I’ll show you how to use the Macau Metro (LRT). You’ll see the system map, learn operating hours, understand ticket options, and feel ready to ride like a pro while exploring Macau!
Macau Metro Map and Lines
Right now, the Macau LRT system is still growing but already very useful for travelers. As of 2026, the network mainly covers Taipa and Cotai, with new extensions planned and opening in phases.
Main operating line:
Taipa Line (Light Green): Connects Macau International Airport, Taipa Ferry Terminal, Cotai Strip resorts, and key Taipa areas.
Seac Pai Van Line: A short spur line serving the Seac Pai Van community in Coloane. It links to the Taipa Line at Union Hospital Station and currently has 2 stations (Union Hospital and Seac Pai Van).
Hengqin Line: Connects Macau to the Hengqin Port area, making cross-border travel more convenient. The line runs between Lotus Station and Hengqin Station and has 2 stations in total.
💓Good news: The stations have clear English signage, so getting around is straightforward even for first-time visitors.
😆 Pro Tip: When planning your visit, consider booking your flights and Macau hotels early to lock in better prices—especially during weekends and holidays.
Ticket Machines Available at every LRT station. Interface supports English, Chinese, and Portuguese. Payment: cash or selected electronic payments (varies by machine).
Service Counter Staff can assist if you have trouble with the machines.

Insert the token when exiting.

The Macau LRT is modern, clean, and perfect for short hops around Cotai and Taipa. Combine it with buses or hotel shuttles, and you’ll have no trouble exploring Macau smoothly. Happy travels!
This is the 1st time I stayed in hotel Lisboa , I am so so happy as they have given a very nice room with great view , nice musical fountain show every night from Wynn macau hotel just across my room and we can see the Grand Prix macau too. The hotel staffs are super friendly, helpful and always have a nice smile on their face. Anne was the one to showed us to our room she was very helpful n patient to explain every single detail in the room to us. Location wise is super good and can easily excess to many places . Overall we are happy and blessed to stay with Hotel Lisboa . Thank you guys 😘
My wonderful experience in Macau: I was staying at the Ponte 16 on August 14, 2025. The hotel staff are well trained with a great attitude, from the Concierge Sam, to the Front Desk Jenny and Laura, and Housekeeping Tina. They are cordial, professional, helpful, and make feel at home during my stay in Macau. I would like to extend my warm gratitude to them for making my trip a memorable one. In addition, They always greeted me with a nice smile at the lobby. Warm regards, Chen Pang Xiang, Paul from Hong Kong Room 1516
Amazing 5-star hotel with stunning views of Macau! The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with anything. Great location — close to major attractions and transport. The atmosphere is calm and elegant, perfect for both leisure and business stays. Excellent value for money — I would definitely stay here again!
It is a great hotel with view. Like all other hotels nearby, it is huge. Walking within the hotel can sometimes be tiring. It is connected by foot bridge to Parisian and Londoner hotels. Lots of high end shops. It is a bit too many to my opinion. One issue of this hotel is the sound proof. You can actually hear other guests in the room. Although there is no cigarette smell in the room, I do smell that in the lifts left over by the guest breath. I don’t think anyone actually smoke in the lift. Otherwise, the staff are very helpful. BTW, the Eiffel Tower offer is nothing special. It is free to visit to the viewing platform at 7th floor to everyone. To go to the top is not included. Hotel bus transfers between ferry ports and borders are free to everyone, not just the hotel guests. All hotels in the area offer the same.
My 2nd & 3rd visit in staying here at Studio City. My very 1st time in Macau was a hotel next street. Many restaurants in Studio City from basic dining to fine dining all under 1 roof. Most Suitable for young kids to old folks. We strongly recommend to stay here.
Standard room with an extra bed on, the Hotel offers a seaview room upgrade for us. The seaview is now a but interrupted by construction sites along the seafront. Spacious amenities, with catering, indoor infinity pool and a cozy gym on 17/F. Corridors are like a maze.
The hotel's location is convenient, and the staff are warm and attentive. The room service is also great, offering good value for money and delicious food. The transport guide provided at the front desk was a thoughtful touch. However, the overall room facilities are quite old, and I even found false eyelashes on the carpet. This definitely needs improvement.
Regal Hotel is my first choice every time I visit Macau. The hotel is located on the Macau Peninsula, with an excellent location; it's just a ten-minute walk to attractions like the Ruins of St. Paul's. The staff are all very polite and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with good soundproofing, and the bathrooms are spacious. The front desk staff are warm and patient, and they helped me find a suitable room based on my needs. Thumbs up.
Galaxy Macau Hotel is simply the best family-friendly hotel! My whole family was extremely satisfied with our stay.
**Facilities:** After telling the staff we had a child, they set up a tent bed and provided so many little extras for the kids, not just child-friendly toiletries, but also doll slippers and various other items. We also requested an extra bed, and they promptly set it up. A big thank you to the staff member who checked us in on the first day!
**Hygiene:** We were also very, very satisfied with the cleanliness. It felt like the housekeeping staff cleaned more than once a day, perhaps three times. Not only did they meticulously arrange our belongings and clear the trash, but they were also incredibly friendly to the children, even leaving them some snacks and chocolates.
**Environment:** The complimentary Grand Resort Deck offers endless fun for both adults and children. Even staying at the hotel all day, you won't get bored. Plus, the hotel is located directly above [missing information, perhaps a mall or attraction].
**Service:** The service definitely deserves five stars!
In late May, I took a ferry from Hong Kong's Sheung Wan pier to Macau's Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, then walked 20 minutes to the Rio Hotel. The hotel strictly enforces its 3 PM check-in policy, and there were many guests waiting to check in at that time, so we all had to queue up. The standard room was very spacious (much more so than Hong Kong hotels). I booked the hotel through Trip.com for an average of CNY 450 per night, which included breakfast for two (the breakfast was decent and suited to average tastes). The hotel is very close to Macau's famous landmark, the Ruins of St. Paul's, and is within walking distance. After checking out this morning, I stored my luggage and spent most of the day exploring Taipa. To get back to mainland China via the Gongbei Port, you can hitch a ride on the shuttle bus from the neighboring hotel.
I visited Taiwan in 2019, and now that I've explored Hong Kong and Macau, I've checked off all the boxes for my travels!
This hotel is super close to major attractions like the Ruins of St. Paul's, Monte Fort, and Grand Lisboa – all within walking distance, which was incredibly convenient. We could easily pop back to the hotel to rest and then continue our sightseeing in the evening. My child was losing a tooth, and I asked the hotel for a sewing kit, and to my surprise, this old-school hotel had everything we needed!
Facilities: The room facilities are new, the mattress is very soft, ensuring a good night's sleep. Hygiene: The room is clean and tidy. Environment: The hotel's swimming pool is a major highlight, with a beautiful and quiet environment. The hotel also has a gym, a heated swimming pool with a constant temperature of 26 degrees Celsius, and a small hot spring pool with massage jets. It's a great place for a relaxing vacation. It's comfortable to swim and soak in the hot springs in any season. Service: Thoughtful and attentive, the staff are polite and responsive. The hotel even upgraded us to a pool-view room for free. I will definitely bring my friends here again next time.
A comfortable stay! As soon as you enter the lobby, you're greeted by a luxurious hotel fragrance. The interior design is grand, and the room space is very generous. It comes with a complimentary coffee capsule machine, and a variety of beverages are also available for free! My favorite part was the bed and pillows; they truly ensure a good night's sleep as soon as you lie down. I genuinely loved it and highly recommend it! 💕
Located on the Macau Peninsula, it's a short walk to bus stops, and there's a supermarket nearby where things are much cheaper than other stores. The location is excellent, close to Wynn Palace and other star-rated hotels, and getting around by car is super convenient. For families, the three beds were quite comfortable.
Extremely satisfied! The hotel environment is comfortable and very clean. The staff are well-trained, warm, and attentive. A special shout-out to Tel at the front desk who helped me with my luggage to my room. Knowing I like to drink tea and Coke, they immediately had a staff member bring me drinking water and Coke. A five-star hotel with first-class service!
I checked in early because of Ctrip VIP, but other guests didn't. The room was standard and relatively new, and they gave me a small gift and welcome fruit. They also gave me a subway card, which was unexpected. I didn't plan to take the light rail, but I experienced it and went to the Mazu Temple, which was very popular. The breakfast was OK, but not very good. There was one problem, the shower water temperature was unstable, and it was scalding from time to time. This is unacceptable for a hotel that costs 5,000 per night. In short, I didn't like it very much, nor did I dislike it very much. I probably won't book again.
Beautiful hotel and great amenities. Rooms are spacious with a wonderful view of the garden or ocean. Although we are a couple sans children, the hotel is very family friendly with two pools (one indoor, one outdoor). Outdoor pool had an area for children with a zip line and balance obstacles. Children’s club with indoor bounce house, board games, table tennis table, pool table, foosball table and outdoor jungle gym. Changing room has a steam room, sauna and showers. Easy to order food and drinks pool side via QR code however service can be a little slow therefore expect to wait a little bit for what you ordered to be delivered. Breakfast buffet had a lot of options and price is very affordable, with a discounted price for children. Highly recommend staying here and we will stay here again in the future.
The room rate was well-maintained and the room was very clean. The staff provided excellent service, and the hotel was very thoughtful, offering complimentary fruit twice. The swimming pool water temperature was a very comfortable 29 degrees Celsius. The breakfast selection was rich and varied, and staying guests received a discount. Booking through Ctrip was very cost-effective.
We have a good experience...my family spent the good relaxation..while in macau.casa real hotel give us the quality of good hotel.we Will come back again
Really luxurious and spacious. We had a balcony that faces the sea and sunrise. Very good view. Breakfast was good! But it's the same everyday. Hoping it'll rotate every few days. Gym was good. Swimming pool, sauna,, jacuzzi, and steam room all good! Swimming pool had some work done tho. Location is pretty far from the cotai area and there nothing much at night. Only one convenient store at the lobby. All in all still enjoyable.
Staying at Harbourview Hotel Macau for 15 days was a wonderful experience. The location is excellent, offering stunning views of the harbor and easy access to nearby attractions. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay. The amenities, including the pool and fitness center, added to the convenience and relaxation. Breakfast options were diverse and delicious. Overall, Harbourview Hotel Macau offers great value, combining comfort, service, and a prime location. I highly recommend it for both leisure and business travelers looking for a memorable stay.
Happy to get upgraded to a suite. Appreciate the customer service of their staff very much! They were proactive to offer help and reacted fast to solve any problems arise. They would also go an extra step to make their customers satisfied and happy. Overall cleanliness is good. Bed is comfy. Gym room and indoor swimming pool is nice too. The only drawback is the outdoor swimming pool not opened due to construction which we didn’t know ahead. But it was still a very pleasant stay. Big thanks to the staff:)
This was my second stay here. I love this hotel, especially the somewhat 90s vibe. It's not brand new, by any stretch of the imagination, but it's feel really luxurious and comfy. It seems pretty clean overall, but there's room for improvement on the details (the carpets, some old stains here and there).Overall it's a great experience. The swimming pool and the food are amazing.
This mid-range hotel is overall very good. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the towels are changed daily, making them very comfortable to use. Although the hotel's hardware facilities are somewhat outdated, the cost-performance ratio is quite reasonable, and the accommodation experience is satisfying. Additionally, the hotel's location is ideal, with convenient transportation and complete surrounding facilities. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next business trip.

Everything was perfect except the fact that umbrellas given by the hotel was not allowed to be taken into the casino. However, I guess casino and hotel is different. No problem with hotel staff. Perfect place, location, and service.
Excellent amenities. More than sufficient water. Housekeeping - not only does the usual but helps to arrange your cables. Thoughtful in the way things are done. Lots of attention given to us at the breakfast at level 2 and ground floor. Excellent selection of Buffett and ala cart items. Beautiful views too.
Yes. The Hengqin Line connects Lotus Station in Macau to Hengqin Port, making cross-border travel more convenient.
Can tourists rely only on the Macau Metro?
Not fully yet. The LRT is great for Taipa and Cotai, but you’ll still need buses or taxis to reach Macau Peninsula attractions like Senado Square.
Is the Macau Metro easy for first-time visitors?
Yes. Stations have English, Chinese, and Portuguese signage, and the system is relatively simple compared with larger cities.
What is the best payment method for Macau LRT?
The Macau Pass stored-value card is the most convenient, though single-journey tokens are also easy for occasional rides.
