Everyone was very tired after a long journey, so we were very dissatisfied."

We also received snacks, fruit, and a teddy bear upon check-in. The room had floor-to-ceiling windows with a great view overlooking Urumqi from a high floor. The only downside was some water pooling in the bathroom due to poor drainage."

"The price of the Hilton Urumqi isn't low, but the facilities are a bit dated. Specifically, the hairdryer could be upgraded; the old model has terrible airflow, it takes ages to dry my hair, and I had to wait for it to air dry before I could sleep. For a room that costs around 1500 a night, there's definitely room for improvement in many areas. The mattress wasn't very comfortable either. Parking at the entrance was quite convenient, and the hotel lobby looks grand and stylish. Breakfast was also good with a wide variety of options. I'd suggest improving the small details."

"This hotel truly exceeded my expectations! First off, the location is absolutely fantastic – super close to the high-speed train station, just a few minutes by taxi. It's nestled in an authentic local neighborhood, with popular old-brand eateries and night markets right downstairs. You get a real feel for local life without any of the noise, making both getting around and finding food incredibly convenient. The room itself was another pleasant surprise. At night, pulling back the curtains reveals a dazzling city skyline; the high-floor view is completely unobstructed. Lying in bed and watching the city lights felt incredibly therapeutic. But the real star was Butler Xiao Huang! From confirming my itinerary before check-in to a warm farewell at checkout, she was incredibly responsive, gentle, and meticulous throughout. Seeing I had a child, she proactively brought kids' slippers. When I casually mentioned being thirsty, she quietly prepared warm honey water. Late at night, she even thoughtfully sent over a guide to local late-night snacks, and every restaurant she recommended was a winner. She even marked down the best times to visit attractions to avoid crowds. This kind of 'subtle yet pervasive' care resonated with me much more than the standardized service at a five-star hotel. Even though it was just a one-night stay, I felt looked after as if I were in my own home."
Urumqi Yizhongyuan Hotel (Hongshan People's Park Branch)
"Overall, it was just very average. Firstly, the water pressure in the bathroom was extremely low and the water was scalding hot; it took a long time to adjust it to a comfortable temperature. Secondly, the soundproofing was pretty poor; I was woken up by noises from the hallway around 1 or 2 AM. Lastly, the bed was damp, and there were no firm pillows, only two very soft ones. I hope they can improve in the future; I won't be staying here again."

"I'm not sure if the hotel staff are poorly trained or simply lack common courtesy, or perhaps they're just used to being careless and don't even bother to check if a guest is in the room. The housekeeper just swiped her card and opened the door without knocking. We had to speak up to stop her, and only then did she ask, "Do you need the room cleaned?" She didn't knock, just swiped and entered. Imagine how you'd feel if you were staying here. When I asked, "Don't you knock?" she showed no embarrassment or apology and simply closed the door and left. Overall, the experience was mediocre. The facilities are old and run-down, comparable to some budget motels. When ordering takeout, it's just left on a table downstairs, and you have to go down to pick it up yourself. In Building B, where the hotel is located, there's no security at all on the ground floor. The elevator doesn't require a key card to access any floor. So, I'm not sure if they're only trying to keep out delivery drivers while letting anyone else in. Especially concerning is the fact that anyone with a room card can apparently enter anyone else's room directly?"

They significantly elevated the overall stay, and I highly recommend it. The breakfast was also quite good, and being on a high floor, it was very quiet. As an executive floor guest, I was very satisfied with my stay."
