GGuest UserMy son and I spent 4 nights here for a skiing trip and were delighted with our stay. The couple running the guesthouse were incredibly helpful and kind and assisted us with so many things during our stay. It's very close to the ski resorts and a very nice town to walk around during the day. I highly recommend staying here.

The room was clean, with ample underfloor heating and plenty of hot water. A shower after a day of skiing was very relaxing, and there were even cats to pet.

At the end of 2024, I went skiing in Urumqi and booked Zhang Jie's guesthouse for the first time. The room was clean, warm, and comfortable. Although it was a guesthouse, it had everything I needed. The breakfast was plentiful, with bread, jam, pickled vegetables, walnut bread, eggs, multigrain sweet potato and corn buns, milk tea, and much more. Zhang Jie would often ask if there was anything else I wanted to eat, and she could prepare it for me. I was truly taken care of. This year, I went skiing in Urumqi again and booked Zhang Jie's Mountain Retreat again. Just like in 2024, everything was incredibly thoughtful. The room was clean, warm, and comfortable, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Even though I sometimes slept in and missed breakfast, Zhang Jie would always wait until we had all finished eating before cleaning up. I ate so much every day, haha (kudos to Zhang Jie's cooking!). She also picked us up and dropped us off at the ski resort every day and reminded us to be careful. She even sent my skis before I came this year, and Zhang Jie helped me receive them. Having stayed twice, I felt like I was with family; it was truly warm and considerate!

Stairs case rather dark. Auto light on/off but not functioning well.
Metro 200m away, bus service good, can go every where if you're not in a hurry. Baidu if you know.
Food is everywhere down the alley.
