5-Star Hotels in Jakarta

stayed at Discovery SCBD Jakarta for 3 nights from Sunday to Wednesday during a business trip and had a very pleasant experience throughout my stay. The hotel's location is one of its biggest advantages. Situated directly opposite Pacific Place Mall in the heart of the SCBD area, it offers easy access to restaurants, cafés, shopping and office buildings, making it an excellent choice for both business and leisure travellers. The room was modern, spacious and exceptionally clean. My favourite feature was definitely the in-room coffee machine. As someone who starts the day with coffee and often works late during business trips, being able to enjoy a freshly brewed cup in the comfort of my room was a thoughtful touch that I truly appreciated. The large work desk by the window was also perfect for catching up on work after office hours, while the comfortable bed and reliable Wi-Fi made the stay even more enjoyable. I also enjoyed the breakfast concept. Instead of a traditional buffet, guests order their preferred dishes from a menu. I appreciated this approach as it helps reduce unnecessary food waste while ensuring that the meals are freshly prepared. What impressed me most was the speed of service — despite being individually prepared, the food was served promptly without a long wait, making breakfast both convenient and enjoyable before heading out for the day. The lobby and common areas are stylish, modern and well maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment of arrival. The staff were friendly, professional and efficient throughout my stay, and both check-in and check-out processes were smooth and hassle-free. Overall, Discovery SCBD Jakarta exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort, convenience and thoughtful amenities. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Jakarta and highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality accommodation in the SCBD area.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Shangri-La Jakarta, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. I stayed in a spacious balcony suite on the 29th floor, which offered stunning views of Jakarta. The suite was beautifully appointed, combining elegant design with modern luxury and every amenity one could wish for. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy what Jakarta has on offer. The Horizon Club was a real highlight. The cocktails were outstanding, and the atmosphere made evening drinks a memorable experience. A special thank you to Mr Markus Christ and his wonderful team for their warm hospitality. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine friendliness made me feel truly welcome throughout my stay. The hotel has everything you could ask for, including excellent dining options and a fantastic bar featuring live music, creating the perfect atmosphere to unwind in the evenings. Shangri-La Jakarta delivers five-star luxury with impeccable service. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Jakarta, whether for business or leisure, and I look forward to returning.

Loved my stay here! The staff were sooo nice and friendly really attentive throughout my stay. Breakfast had quite a lot of choices and they also had a few à la carte options that you could order as part of the breakfast. The staff recommended the Mee Ayam a little salty for my taste but still okay! They also let me check out at 1 PM which honestly made me sooo happy 😭 Agora Mall and PARKROYAL are right next door and Plaza Indonesia and Grand Indonesia are also within walking distance. the water pressure was also really good! The only few things I didn’t really like were the pillows they were a bit too soft for me. Also, if you’re a girl travelling alone I wouldn’t really recommend walking to Plaza Indonesia or Grand Indonesia at night because some parts of the road felt a little dodgy. But yes both malls are definitely walkable. Overall, really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely consider staying again!

The room is spacious, the facilities are clean, and the staff are very friendly. The location is also excellent. It's so convenient because it's connected to a shopping mall.

Good hotel for a business stay, but not quite 5-star level Overall, I had a good stay at Wyndham Casablanca Jakarta. The location is very convenient, especially for business meetings near Kota Kasablanka / Casablanca offices. The hotel has a solid, classic atmosphere, but it also feels a bit outdated and could benefit from renovation. The main weakness is attention to detail. There was no hairdryer or bathrobes in the room, and only one pair of slippers for two guests. After requesting a hairdryer, it took about an hour to arrive. The tea/coffee setup in the room was also not very convenient, with no proper cups for hot drinks. Breakfast was acceptable, but mostly focused on local and Asian guests. For European guests, the choice felt quite limited, although the coffee service was good. In general, this is a good hotel with a convenient location, but in terms of service and details it feels more like a strong 4-star hotel rather than a true 5-star experience.

I wished I hadn’t need to do this review. Here goes:(1) I was allocated level 20 as I had requested for a high floor prior to arriving; At this level, I have to have nightly battles with mosquitos buzzing around the bed and my ears. (2) the aircondition broke down on my second night and was resolved only the next day after the maintenance engineers came into my room, twice. I was provided with a fruit basket and some snacks for this as an apology for the lost of comfort. (3) I see cockroaches at the breakfast area on a daily basis and decided to skip the breakfast completely on some days due to being turned off by these sightings. The staff would quickly swap away the cockroaches when I bring notice but I don’t see any real fumigation going on during my stay of 6 nights. (4) the lobby is well decorated but can tell that rhe hotel is old. (5) bed bugs.. photos attached. The only saving grace was its proximity from the grand Indonesia shopping mall where I can get a decent meal instead of the one at hotel. The staffs were generally friendly although there room wasn’t tidied even though I had asked the staff at lobby for room makeup, happened at least twice. And there were numerous calls to the room from the hotel asking if my stay was ok so far, it could be that the hotel was concerned about my comfort and I resent the phone ringing and I had to answer the calls every time; probably 5-6 times during the stay. Maybe it was by pure chance that I had such experience but this is my unadulterated hotel stay review as I was asked for it.

I enjoyed staying at your hotel. Large room , queen bed, sofa, working desk, big bathroom with big bathtub, shower separated from bathtub. Tea time with various snaks , cakes n drinks. Got 2 paxs of dinner. Breakfast is amazing at syahrendra resto, with various menu.

The hotel's location is pretty good. Since my next stop was by train, it's only about a 10-15 minute walk to Gambir train station. Major attractions like Independence Square and museums are also within a 20-30 minute walk. Plus, there's a KFC and a FamilyMart right next door.

When I first entered the hotel lobby, I was very excited, the place looked grand and impressive, perfectly matching its name. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the lobby smelled fresh and pleasant. However, once I received my room, I was shocked. The room was very small, outdated, and dimly lit. The bathroom was cramped and narrow. Housekeeping was slow, when I returned from lunch, the room had not yet been cleaned. When they finally arrived, I only asked them to replace the towels and replenish the coffee, tea, sugar, and mineral water. Since the bed had not been made that morning and I simply went straight to sleep, leaving it as it was, my power bank, which I had used earlier, was left behind and possibly hidden under the pillow. Unfortunately, it was my mistake not to check carefully before checking out the next day. I did send an email to the hotel regarding this, but I have not received any reply until now. On a positive note, the breakfast was excellent there was a wide variety of dishes to choose from, and the spread was both plentiful and appealing. And the hotel was just within walking distance of the nearby mall.
