The capsules are clean and modern, so are the toilets and showers, however the rest of facilities are a little old. The staff is kind, the location is the old town which is an interesting place to visit but I personally would have preferred to stay downtown, however you can take a bus or metro and get there in around 20 minutes. I was here for over a week so in the end it's a little bit uncomfortable to stay in such small place with all my stuff (one large and one small backpack) but for a few days or with less luggage it's okay. I'd have gotten the double one if I wasn't on a budget.

The hotel’s location is very strategic and convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions and public transportation. However, there are several areas that could be improved. Basic amenities such as bath towels and face towels were not provided in sufficient quantity. The hotel itself appears quite old, and considering the room rate, it would benefit from some refurbishment. The towels also looked worn and should be replaced. In addition, the bathroom floor was not cleaned thoroughly, which affected the overall cleanliness of the room. The breakfast was average, with limited variety. I hope the management will continue to upgrade the facilities and services gradually to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for future guests.

This hotel is a classic case of ”you get what you pay for” – and in Central Jakarta, the price is actually reasonable for the area. The building is old, no doubt about it, but I could tell they make an effort to keep the rooms clean, which I appreciated. The location is the real star here. You're right in the heart of Jakarta – walkable to tons of restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores like Family Mart and Indomart for late-night snacks. Shopping malls are also nearby, so everything you need is within reach. Plus, they have an elevator, which is always a bonus in older buildings. Now for the downsides – and honestly, they're significant. The bed is really old. I could feel every single spring poking through, and I barely slept at all the first night. I actually ended up cutting my stay short and moving to another hotel just because of this. The linens and towels also looked very faded and didn't feel fresh – they gave off that ”used too many times” vibe. The hot water wasn't very hot either, more like lukewarm. On a positive note, the staff were polite and friendly throughout, which made the experience a little better. They also provide breakfast, and if you're not into that, there are plenty of options outside to eat. A practical tip: the airport is about 30–32 km away, and Jakarta traffic is no joke. If you have a flight, start early – don't underestimate the travel time! So who is this place for? If you're on a tight budget and only need a bed for a night or two, it's okay – especially given the unbeatable location. But if you value good sleep (and honestly, who doesn't?), I'd recommend spending a bit more somewhere nicer. A good bed makes all the difference, and this one just didn't deliver. I couldn't imagine staying a week here with that mattress. All in all, I'd say: great location, friendly staff, but major comfort issues. Fine for a short stay, but not for anyone who actually wants to sleep well.

Great clean place. No guests allowed because its a traditional place. Got to be married. Nothing wrong with the hotel but location is kind of an awkward busy street. Affordable and good place.

The AC wasn't cold enough. There were no amenities like towels unless requested (not sure about other rooms). The Wi-Fi didn't work. Other than that, it was okay.

I was very disappointed with my experience at Saffron Suites Syariah “SUPER DUPER DISSAPOINTED” I booked the room for two people, but after arriving, I was informed of several restrictions that were not clearly communicated to me when I made the booking. My partner was not allowed to visit me without being questioned about our relationship, and I was also informed that unmarried couples are subject to restrictions. I was additionally asked to sign hotel regulations only upon arrival, including a restriction on bringing alcohol into the room. These conditions were not clearly brought to my attention before I paid for the booking. I fully respect that a Syariah hotel may have its own rules. However, such important restrictions should be clearly disclosed before guests make and pay for a reservation, not presented only after arrival. THIS IS SO UNETHICAL due to not to disclose this kind of information in the public I strongly recommend that future guests confirm all hotel policies directly with the property before booking, particularly regarding partners, visitors, marriage requirements and alcohol (I have been even asked to presented the official marriage certificate) this is truly INSANE For me, this was an unexpected and very uncomfortable experience, and I believe these policies should be made much clearer to customers before they book. And specially for Trip.com and the team to do further investigation on this.

For smokers, this isn't ideal. Smoking is prohibited inside the rooms, but there's no outdoor solution either. If you're on the 4th floor, you have to go all the way down to the 1st floor using the stairs.

Good hotel...good and friendly service, only breakfast is thought to be a buffet but is divided per person, for breakfast time, if possible, the time should be moved up, because the visitors are workers.

The room was generally clean and affordable! There's a big mall nearby, right by the main road. The only downside was that the bathroom water was salty, but overall, it was a decent stay.
