5-Star Hotels in Chengdu

Pros: Very comfortable stay. I loved having a sofa to lounge on, a table to eat at while charging my devices, and a conveniently located luggage rack. The rain shower had excellent water pressure. They even provided a Dyson hairdryer and an iron, which was a nice touch. The large floor-to-ceiling windows were beautiful. The air conditioning was perfectly set and didn't need any adjustments – it's great how new everything felt. Cons: Having to switch elevators to get to the room was a minor inconvenience, but the hotel entrance and the building are separate, unlike some high-rise hotels where you might run into tourists, so I guess it's acceptable. The delivery robot was incredibly slow; it took longer than if the delivery driver had come directly to the hotel. Also, despite being on a high floor, there wasn't much of a view yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing the city develop in the future.

The hotel's scenery is exceptionally beautiful, with a Chinese-inspired design and blessings extended to every guest. The courtyard is adorned with crape myrtle, pomegranates, and magnolia flowers, creating a sense of abundant beauty and prosperity. Flower-lined paths lead to picturesque spots, making every step a delight, and allowing one to forget all worries and simply immerse in the moment. The public hot springs are spacious, available both indoors and outdoors. The rooms are private villas, some with their own hot spring baths, and the温泉 water is natural radon spring water. The front desk managers, Helen and Li Yilin, were very attentive. I would definitely choose Fairmont Chengdu Hot Springs again if I have the chance; it must be even more beautiful in the autumn. This was a wonderful trip.

This hotel is perfect for families with kids. The two rooms are spacious enough, and the location is excellent, making it easy to get anywhere. The hotel's robot delivery service for takeout is also fantastic! Sometimes ordering takeout to the hotel is even cheaper than buying it myself from the store, and the robot delivers it right to your room door, which is great!

Our family stayed at the Louis Castle Qingtong Hotel for two nights during our trip to Chengdu. The service and environment were excellent, definitely a five-star rating! On our second day, we had an early start, and they thoughtfully prepared portable breakfasts for us. Check-in at the front desk was quick, and they were always responsive to our needs. The room was clean, the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a solid night's sleep. The individually packaged toiletries gave us peace of mind. Getting a taxi was super convenient, right by the roadside. The cleaning staff were meticulous, cleaning our room on time, and communication with them was very smooth when we had requests. Overall, there were no disappointments; the environment was clean and well-maintained, making for a relaxing and comfortable stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I come back to Chengdu, and I highly recommend it to friends visiting the city.

The most satisfying stay of our trip! The subway station is only 200 meters away, and the hotel's night view is perfect for photos. The butler was meticulous and thoughtful, making the entire stay effortless. The room was spotlessly clean, and the facilities were in excellent condition. I've saved this place, and I'll definitely stay here again when I come back to Chengdu.

Considering it's a 10-year-old hotel, I think the maintenance of the facilities and equipment is excellent. The breakfast selection is very rich, and the freshly made 'Guokui' (pan-fried flatbread) is an absolute standout here. Check-in at the lounge was very efficient. When I asked about unique local attractions, the lounge staff recommended a different place for each of my inquiries, showing truly thoughtful service.

I chose the Four Points by Sheraton Chunxi Road mainly because it's right next to Taikoo Li. We could walk back to the room for a rest after just a few steps, which is very convenient for older people. When we checked in, the young lady at the front desk noticed my dad walked slowly and proactively arranged a room close to the elevator. She even gave us two extra bottles of water. She thought of this detail before I even had to ask. The room wasn't huge, but the layout was comfortable. My mom said it was ”bright and airy” as soon as she walked in. From the window, we could see the bustling Chunxi Road, and when the lights came on at night, she stood by the window for ages, taking videos to send to our family group chat. My mom was most satisfied with the breakfast. She's not used to Western food, but she found white congee, side dishes, steamed pumpkin, and freshly made *long chaoshou* (wontons). She ate *chaoshou* two days in a row, saying the broth was delicious. My dad, on the other hand, was fixated on the view from the 45th floor. Every day, he'd sit by the window with his coffee, watching the crowds below, saying, ”This is what Chengdu is all about.” There was a small incident. On the second day, my mom felt a bit carsick and unwell, so I went downstairs to ask if there was a pharmacy nearby. The young man at the front desk immediately drew a map, marked the pharmacy's location, and even reminded me which intersection had an overpass so we wouldn't have to climb stairs. Later, when my mom felt better, she insisted on going downstairs to buy a panda plushie for my niece, saying she couldn't have bothered them for nothing. On check-out day, my dad waved and thanked the young lady at the front desk, saying we'd definitely come again next time. I could tell he wasn't just being polite. When traveling with elders, it's not about how luxurious it is; it's about someone offering a helping hand or asking an extra question. This hotel did that, and they did it very naturally, without being forced. So, these five stars are from my parents.

The Xishang Hotel offers an amazing experience with attentive and prompt butler service. The food is made with fresh local ingredients and tastes authentic and delicious. The private hot spring is secluded and quiet, and the environment is tranquil and a great escape from the summer heat. Overall, the stay was very comfortable and I highly recommend it.

This was my first time visiting Pengzhou, and I stumbled upon a hotel next to Longxing Temple that looked incredibly comfortable. I couldn't resist going in to take a look around. The front desk lady, Chengcheng, was very welcoming and took me directly to tour the guest rooms. I was immediately impressed when I walked in. The room was incredibly spacious with an amazing view, directly facing the ancient pagoda of Longxing Temple. The scenery outside the window was incredibly calming. The facilities were quite new, and the toiletries were individually packaged with a unique fragrance. Outside the room, there was even a private soaking area. Taking a bath and enjoying the breeze in my free time really set the mood. It's also very close to Shuijie, so there's plenty to eat and do. The lady gave us recommendations for fun and delicious places nearby, which was really thoughtful. I'm not even from around here and was curious about other places, and the recommendations didn't disappoint. Thank you so much! I immediately booked a room online, and the overall stay experience was really great. The hotel's environment and hygiene were very well maintained, cleaned spotless, making me feel especially at ease. The breakfast selection was also rich, with Chinese pastries, porridge, and small dishes, all to my liking. Longxing Temple and the surrounding streets are just a few steps away, making the location super convenient. Choosing this accommodation for my trip to Pengzhou was definitely a great decision; it's quiet and pleasant. I'll consider staying here again next time I visit.

On a long family road trip, I personally prefer staying in a five-star hotel. They tend to be more reliable than those 'five-diamond' rated hotels you find online. While these hotels might have older facilities due to their age, the hygiene, service, and food are consistently excellent! The price also isn't overly expensive, offering good value for money. Just a small suggestion: the breakfast could offer a wider variety of Chinese dishes; the stir-fried large chunks of carrots were quite disappointing!
