This stay exceeded my expectations! The owner was incredibly thoughtful and even gave me a free room upgrade. The location is absolutely perfect – Chunxi Road pedestrian street is right downstairs, making it super convenient for shopping and finding food. The room was clean and comfortable, and they even provided earplugs. The service was attentive and warm, making my trip worry-free and pleasant. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Chengdu; I'll definitely choose it again next time!

The room on the 51st floor is super convenient for getting anywhere near Chunxi Road. The hotel's rooftop view really blew me away – you get a panoramic view of Taikoo Li right outside the window, with the ancient charm of Daci Temple, the cool 3D screen, and the IFS panda head all in one frame. It’s such a Chengdu vibe, where modern and traditional collide! It looks great both day and night, and downstairs there are all sorts of trendy spots, so you can shop and eat all day without getting bored. The room facilities are good, clean, and quiet. I’ll definitely stay here again next time.

I stayed at Subway Hostel for one night (April 14–15, 2026) in the eight-person male-only dorm, and overall it was a decent budget stay with a few trade-offs. The price is definitely one of the main advantages—it’s an affordable option if you just need a place to sleep. The dorm itself was fairly standard for a hostel: multiple bunk beds, limited personal space, and a very communal feel. With eight people in the room, it did feel a bit more crowded compared to smaller dorms, so it might not be ideal if you’re a light sleeper or prefer quieter environments. Cleanliness was acceptable but not exceptional. The room was generally fine, though it could use more frequent upkeep, especially with that many guests coming in and out. The shared bathroom situation was similar—usable, but sometimes a bit busy and not always spotless during peak times. One positive was the location and convenience—easy to get around and access nearby areas, which is always a plus when you’re only staying briefly. The atmosphere depended a lot on the other guests; during my stay, it was manageable, but noise can vary. Staff interactions were minimal but efficient. Check-in and check-out went smoothly without any complications. Overall, Subway Hostel works well if you’re traveling on a tight budget and don’t mind a busy, shared environment. It’s not the most comfortable or private option, but for a short, inexpensive stay, it gets the job done.

Situated within the old town. Filled with food options downstairs. Many stores as well. Touristy place. Don’t expect too much for this price. The general area and room are clean enough. Mattress is thin but didn’t bother me much for my three nights stay. Squad toilet with shower overhead. Small cubicle but enough to move around and does it’s work. Might be hard to find the place, so give the boss a call when you are in the area. He will guide you up this apartment. Stairway is dark and dirty. But then again, for this price. Go with an open mind. Eight person dorm has window that opens out to the outside. Whereas the four person room is much smaller and window opens out to the living room. Btw, the boss stay in the hostel compound too. He’s happy to share his travel stories and recommend places to go.

The room was spotlessly clean, and the location was incredibly convenient. It's just a few minutes' walk downstairs to the Giant Panda Research Base. If you visit early in the morning, you'll see many pandas, and you won't even need to wake up early for a bus from the city center. My niece absolutely loved the panda theme! The decor was so incredibly photogenic, she could have spent all day just taking pictures in the room – it was fantastic! Our host even gifted us panda headbands, which we absolutely adored and immediately wore to the base for photos! Highly recommend!

The room was spotless, with great natural light and ventilation. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom had plenty of hot water and was well-equipped. The front desk staff were warm and attentive. The location is convenient for getting around, yet quiet and peaceful. Overall, it's excellent value for money and I had a very satisfying stay.

Honestly this place is not expensive and it gets the job done. However, I went during the labor day holidays, so most of the 18 beds in the apartment were taken (the beds are separated in two rooms). The beds are really really nice but there's only one bathroom so I guess it could lead to issues, though I never had one. Because there are so many people, it's very cramped, not that clean, but the staff is very responsive and still often comes to clean. It's easy to go anywhere from the hostel too.

The accommodation is similar to the university dormitory. Every bed has a curtain for me. It gives me a good sense of security. I ordered it yesterday afternoon and I didn’t find it for a long time. It was already 20 o’clock at that time. The boss took the initiative to ask me where I went, can I find where I have been, do I need to pick it up, it makes people feel warm, sisters who need accommodation can consider this
