The most surprising thing about this trip to Yubeng was to choose the Slow Mountain Hotel. The location is in Yubeng Village. The view of the room is really amazing. You can face the snow-capped mountains directly when you sit in the house. The scenery is unobstructed. It is completely beyond expectations that the food in the store is very appetizing. It is really rare to eat such a delicious meal in the mountains where the transportation of materials is inconvenient. The store especially knows hiking tourists. In addition to exquisite afternoon tea, you can also change to hiking meals. His burger must be tried. The filling is solid and tastes great. It is just right to replenish energy on the mountain road. The comfort of high-altitude accommodation is full, the room is equipped with oxygen supply equipment, humidifier, and small whole house smart, no need to manually switch lights and adjust equipment, live easily and worry-free. The service details are particularly poking people. The staff will take the initiative to call to confirm our arrival time before check-in and make arrangements in advance. The room also prepared a foot bath bucket, which was sore for a few days on foot. After soaking at night, the fatigue of the feet disappeared and the warmth was full. From just arriving at the store to checking in, to three meals, every staff member in the store is gentle and enthusiastic, and the demand is very fast. The whole trip was comfortable, satisfied, and the scenery was excellent. There was no slot. After that, a friend came to Yubeng. I will definitely recommend Slow Mountain!

What can I say, Yeyu has simply got to be hands down, the best place that I have stayed in during my entire Yunnan trip. I am amazed and wasn't expecting it to be this great. I know the idea of staying in a luxury hotel doesn't seem to be something that goes hand in hand with hiking (I say this from my experience of having hiked in several other places before where the key highlight is the natural setting itself), but I have to say that it was really soothing for the soul. My girlfriend and I loved this place! The hotel is tastefully designed at every corner and angle and we can appreciate that a lot of creativity and thought was put into designing this place. The aesthetics is very pleasing to the eye and embraces the natural scenery really well. We also loved the homage it pays to the area's ******* roots such as the photographs displayed in the room (young ******* monks playing and the ******* gazelles in the bathroom) and also all the books about Tibet, Yunnan province that is in the library and living room space. The service provided by the staff was top notch, very attentive and caring. We were always asked if there's anything that the staff can do for us be it preparing a plate of fresh fruits, preparing some drinks for us when we were lounging at the living area and another completely unexpected one was when we returned from the Sacred Waterfall hike with our shoes filled with mud, the hotel staff kindly asked us to leave our shoes with him and it came back the next day fully cleaned, placed in front of our rooms. The lovely service provided was just simply amazing and for this, I would like to offer my sincere thanks and gratitude to all of the lovely staff at Yeyu who provided us with such a beautiful memory of our too brief stay here and thank you so much for the room upgrade. If I could organise this trip again, I would have liked to stay here much longer to be able to relax and enjoy the beauty of this place. Please believe me when I say that it is completely worth every yuan. PS: Please note that there are two Yeyu Hotels in Yubeng, one near the pond and the other near the temple. We stayed at the one near the temple. Both of them are beautiful in their distinctive ways.

When I booked the room, it was advertised as a ”room with a view.” In reality, every morning at 7:30 AM, I'd open all the electric curtains (without turning on the lights) and lie in bed watching the sunrise gild Kawagebo Peak. In the evenings, I'd marvel as the pink sunset clouds, like cotton candy, enveloped me. Once the glow faded, I'd spend an hour gazing at the starry sky, feeling like I'd captured the entire cosmos in my heart. Absolutely breathtaking. (To circle back) I received a call from the hotel saying they'd pick me up at Ninong Parking Lot 🅿️ and help with my backpack – a complimentary service. (For me, it was incredible; though I personally found this service a bit counter-intuitive.) If it hadn't been for the kind young man who carried my backpack, I would have given up on the discouraging slope leading to the ticket office, feeling a bit embarrassed to quit. (If you stay at this hotel, you don't need to bring trekking poles; they provide them, so I didn't bring mine.) Every morning at 8:30 AM, after enjoying the golden sunrise on the mountain, I'd head to breakfast. The nutritious and balanced breakfast, complete with a friendly little cat (this particularly clingy cat is named Er Pao, and she's a new mom!), prepared me for exploring the various hiking trails. I was thoroughly impressed with the room's amenities (elegant yet understated). I loved sitting on the warm carpet, sipping tea, reading a book, listening to music, and basking in the sun – perfect! I truly didn't want to leave, savoring this most serene time in a secluded paradise. Every encounter is a blessing. Looking back, it was truly the best gift. Many thanks to the three young men for their hard work. They appear when needed and ”disappear” when solitude is desired.

The hotel's location is excellent, right across from the Wunongding viewing platform for Meili Snow Mountain. You can directly view the snow-capped mountains from your bed on the balcony. If you're taking photos, a white pagoda in front might obstruct the view, so you'd need to go down to the viewing platform below. The hotel facilities are very comprehensive, including an oxygen concentrator and a humidifier. The decor style is both modern and incorporates ******* elements. During the Spring Festival, the hotel's dinner is a set menu, requiring reservations, costing around 270-280 RMB for three people. The dining area features a long table, which feels very ceremonial, and there are two fireplaces in the back that create a medieval ambiance when lit. We stayed here for two nights, and on the second evening, we ordered hotpot. The owner even gave us an extra platter of beef, and we also ordered a bottle of local ice wine, which tasted quite good. Breakfast is a set menu, with rich milk and rice noodles served in ceramic pots; both were delicious. The hotel's exterior is the white building on the far left of image 4 below. We stayed for two nights, originally planning for a backup day in case we missed the 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun' phenomenon, but we were incredibly lucky to witness it beautifully on both days. The scenery was absolutely stunning.

The room was fantastic, with a balcony directly overlooking the snow-capped mountains. They thoughtfully provided two foot bath tubs. We were quite tired upon arrival at the village, and soaking our feet completely refreshed us, making us ready to head straight to the glacial lake the very next day – what a thoughtful touch! The chicken soup noodles were delicious, and the packed lunch they provided for our journey was great too. The resident cat was adorable!

Traveling from Deqin to Shangri-La, I didn't want to rush, so I chose this as a stopover. I love this kind of boutique luxury hotel, where all the guests are soft-spoken. The hotel faces the Jinsha River, and the riverside pool is perfect for photos. The room was spacious enough, and the facilities were very well-maintained, as if the hotel had just opened. The breakfast at the restaurant was very extensive and delicious. What deserves the most praise is every single hotel employee I encountered, from the front desk to the restaurant staff—each person's smile was so warm, like the gentle morning glow.

New hotel with smart amenities, room is spacious, can see Baima mountain from outside the room. There’s an oxygen concentrator that helps with high altitude sickness. They also served sweet soup for supper and helped with the luggage because there isn’t a lift. The walk to the viewing platform is about 10minutes, which is not too far. We managed to catch the spectacular view of Meili during sunrise.

I stayed here for 2 nights and had an amazing experience. The room provides a great view of the mountains with floor to ceiling windows and everything in the room, including the bed, chairs, clothes rack and bathroom, are well-maintained and clean. The room provides a sense of luxury and cleanliness during your getaway to this village. The location is excellent, as you are one of the first, if not the first accommodation facing the mountains, so the view is excellent. It is in a great location for exploring upper yubeng and the glacier lake. What made our stay unforgettable was the amazing service we received by the owner and staff whilst we stayed here. The lady provided us with everything we needed to know during our stay in yubeng, including sunrise times, and answered any and every question we had about yubeng as a whole. They provided an atmosphere that was very welcoming and it really does feel like I was invited to stay at their home. They provided free water and free laundry service, as well as free use of hiking poles for our hikes. The breakfast included was excellent and was different for each day we stayed, and they provide you with a free lunch pack to take on your hike, which was a nice gesture which we appreciated. Additionally, everyone here speaks both mandarin and cantonese, so if you're travelling from Guangdong or Hong Kong and would like to feel at home, this is the perfect place to be. Overall, this was an amazing accommodation to stay at due to the amazing service, location and facilities and the owner and her family really do treat you like family. I would highly recommend staying here, and if I ever come back to yubeng, I will definitely stay here again!
