"Before arrival: On the day of check-in, I received a call asking about my arrival time. Knowing I would be late, they arranged for a turndown service. They also asked my preference for pillows from a variety of options and placed them in the room beforehand.
Upon check-in: The room was clean and tidy, and the bathtub was quite large. Being on a high floor, the city night view was very pleasant.
During stay: My butler found out it was my birthday and thoughtfully prepared a birthday setup, including a cake. It truly felt like a lot of care was put into it. The hotel also offered three complimentary travel photoshoots. Any additional photos could be purchased. The photography staff were incredibly patient and friendly, and I was very happy with the photos they took, so I didn't hesitate to purchase more. Their team, 'Niguang Travel Photography,' is genuinely excellent.
After check-out: The front desk was busy when I left, so I just gave my license plate number and headed out."

The service was warm and attentive: the front desk staff were very thoughtful and helped me get a quiet room. Although there was a minor issue later on, everyone from the staff to the manager was incredibly helpful in resolving it. My only real complaint is that there's still a noticeable renovation smell. Even though I saw housekeeping constantly airing out the room and using air purifiers, I personally found the scent quite strong. Despite that, the hotel seems to be quite busy."

Didi pick-up and drop-off was a breeze since the hotel has its own lobby and cars can pull right up front. No awkward dragging of suitcases through a mall.

"The hotel's location is great, right next to a bar street and very close to Chunxi Road. The staff at the front desk and restaurant are very enthusiastic and provide excellent service. I especially want to thank Xiao Peng from the concierge. When I was dropping off and picking up my luggage, he helped me load all my suitcases into the car and even opened and closed the car doors as I left. I really appreciate his help.
However, there are a few downsides. The soundproofing in the rooms is very poor; I could clearly hear the wife and kids talking in the next room. Also, since it's an older hotel, there are no power outlets by the bed, which is a bit inconvenient for charging phones. For breakfast, we had to queue for about 15 minutes. While understandable during a holiday, it ultimately indicates that the restaurant's capacity is too small."

GGuest UserThe hotel's overall environment design is excellent, with lush gardens and water features surrounding the rooms. A morning stroll is incredibly refreshing, and the ecosystem is thriving. Soaking in the hot springs while listening to birdsong is truly relaxing.
Regarding the facilities, the rooms are clean and hygienic, with good quality bedding and towels. There's a wide selection of pillows, and the hot springs are radon-rich, leaving your skin feeling smooth – I heard it's great for your skin. There's also a fairly large play pool in the hot springs area that kept the kids entertained for ages, so much so that we didn't have time for any other activities. The breakfast quality is also very good.
As for the service, a butler contacted me even before my arrival to ask about any special requests. The hotel's service is very flexible; they try their best to accommodate guests' needs and enhance their experience, as long as it doesn't disrupt hotel operations. Since fewer people were using the hot springs due to the hot weather, they upgraded my room and extended my check-out time, allowing me to enjoy a very comfortable soak.

The location is superb, right next to Financial City and Jiaozi Avenue, making travel incredibly convenient. The room was spacious and comfortable, with captivating city views from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedding was soft and helped me sleep soundly. Both the front desk and room service were excellent, responding quickly and warmly. The pool and gym facilities were all top-notch. Staying for multiple nights is definitely the best option.

GGuest UserBefore I even decided on this hotel, I made an inquiry call, and the staff's welcoming attitude alone convinced me to book it for my kids and parents. Afterward, no matter what I consulted about or needed help with, they were always incredibly prompt, serious, responsible, gentle, and patient. I'm so grateful! After checking in, I was completely enchanted by Qingchengshan Hegushanju, especially with a light rain falling. The mountains were shrouded in mist, and there was greenery everywhere. The room was clean, and staying for two consecutive days, the cleaning was timely, and the hot springs were disinfected, which made me feel very secure. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, catering to adults who like spice and children who don't. We didn't get a chance to try other meals at the hotel because we were out sightseeing, but we'll save that for next time, because we're definitely coming back! Plus, the hotel offers a variety of activities suitable for both adults and children, so you wouldn't get bored even if you spent two or three days just relaxing there.

GGuest UserThe Crowne Plaza Chengdu Wenjiang Hot Spring is such a great deal! The location is convenient, whether you're taking the subway or driving. The front desk staff were warm and efficient, making check-in incredibly smooth.
The natural hot springs are definitely the highlight, with over 40 unique pools to choose from. After a soak, you feel completely refreshed. The rooms are spacious and tidy, with soft bedding and excellent soundproofing. You can even enjoy river views in the morning.
The buffet breakfast offers a full range of Western and Chinese options, and the freshly prepared noodles are especially delicious.
The staff were attentive throughout our stay. This hotel is perfect for both couples on a getaway and families traveling together. Highly recommended!

From the moment I walked in, the warmth and professionalism of the staff made me feel like I was returning home, not just checking into a hotel. Every touchpoint—from the seamless check-in to the delightful breakfast service and the ever-smiling lobby staff—was filled with genuine care and attentiveness. It’s rare to find a team that consistently goes above and beyond, but the JW Marriott Chengdu truly embodies the spirit of heartfelt hospitality. What elevated our stay from wonderful to absolutely perfect was Xiaoxiao (小肖). Her communication was not only professional and timely but also incredibly detailed and caring. She took the time to understand our needs and thoughtfully coordinated every little detail to make our Mother’s Day trip smooth, stress-free, and unforgettable. Thanks to Xiaoxiao, my mother felt truly celebrated and cherished throughout our stay. This is actually the hotel I regularly stay at when I am in Chengdu, because of its central location. It never disappoints.

My butler, Yannie, then added me on WeChat and was incredibly helpful throughout my stay. She clearly explained all the hotel's facilities and activities, even sending a short video demonstrating how to use the uniquely designed shower faucet. It was pomelo blossom season, so the entire hotel was filled with a subtle, lovely fragrance that accompanied me on my walks. On the morning of my departure, Yannie arranged a Tai Chi experience for me. As I followed the instructor, practicing breathing exercises with Mount Qingcheng in the background, I felt a fleeting connection between humanity and nature. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Six Senses.

Before choosing this hotel, I read many reviews, but ultimately, considering everything, I went with The Ritz-Carlton. My thinking was, as a five-star hotel, its aging facilities are a known drawback, but it still has all the essentials: a swimming pool, gym, spa treatments, and so on. So, it must compensate for its shortcomings elsewhere, like service and dining. We were, after all, on a trip, not a luxurious vacation! And just as I expected, from the moment we walked in, we experienced the warm, enthusiastic service typical of a five-star hotel. All the check-in procedures were handled incredibly smoothly and to my satisfaction. 👍
Since it was already past 1 PM, and we were starving, we had a late lunch at the hotel's Chinese restaurant. Due to the time, the menu options were limited, but we still enjoyed a delicious meal. The positive reviews about the hotel's Chinese restaurant were definitely accurate, and the service was excellent too. What truly impressed me most was the housekeeping service. Every evening, we received turndown service and a second round of cleaning, and it was done meticulously – that's not easy to achieve and deserves praise. 👍 The bathroom had dual sinks, and one of them had a slight drainage issue. I thought I'd just use the other and mention it at check-out. To my surprise, the housekeeping staff fixed it for us on the second night! I imagine they noticed it when cleaning the teapots during the second tidy-up. They are truly thoughtful and dedicated.
However, there was one area that disappointed me: the hotel breakfast. There were no distinctive dishes, and the cooking was subpar. Even simple noodles or wontons felt like they were prepared carelessly, lacking in color, aroma, and taste – it felt like such a waste of food. The only service I experienced at breakfast was smiles and greetings; there was no substantive service, and it felt rather insincere. This was definitely a major flaw for the hotel.

I was a bit worried when I booked, seeing some reviews about the hotel being older, fearing it might be dated. But honestly, as soon as I saw the room, all those concerns vanished. The hotel is incredibly well-maintained, even better than the photos. As they say, an old Ferrari is still a Ferrari! My overall stay was fantastic. The room was spacious, the bedding was excellent, ensuring a great night's sleep. The toiletries were top-notch, smelled lovely, and worked wonderfully. Every little detail showed care. The high floor offered fantastic panoramic views through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and everything was spotless. The location is excellent – quiet yet central. The butler service was outstanding, available 24/7, with quick and friendly responses. The 24-hour complimentary drinks and snacks were a thoughtful touch and of good quality. The housekeeping staff noticed we were drinking tea and proactively left extra bottles of water during cleaning, which was very thorough – thumbs up! There are plenty of great dining options nearby. If I had to pick a flaw, it's that the shampoo and other bottles in the shower were a bit too close together, making them hard to press, but that's a minor point. The 6:30 PM sabrage champagne ritual added a nice touch of ceremony. I'll definitely stay here again next time, and for more than just one night!

Service: The hotel staff is enthusiastic and energetic. Before check-in, a butler added me on WeChat and proactively upgraded my room and offered complimentary breakfast. Since I booked for May Day (Labor Day), I also received vouchers for panda coffee and cocktails, which was a fantastic experience.
Cleanliness: Room cleaning and replenishment of amenities were very timely. The pillows were so comfortable that I bought two and had them shipped home.
Overall, the stay was excellent. The hotel, from its decor and design to its staff, feels very modern and young, and the service and facilities are top-notch. 😊

The room was very quiet, so we slept well, and it was kept clean. Two days after checking out, I realized I'd left something behind, and they found it and mailed it to me immediately. Next time, I hope they can notify me right away if something is found 😭, but I'm still very grateful!
