Shangri-La Hotel Chengdu

The software is up to the standard of an old-school five-star hotel, though the hardware is a bit dated. The service is pretty good, and the breakfast is exceptional. Sister Zhang from the concierge even gave me a Dudu panda! The nearby Shui Jing Fang Museum is definitely worth a visit.

The hotel service was excellent, attentive without being overly enthusiastic. It really feels like the management is top-notch, with the solid foundation of a well-established five-star hotel. The executive lounge is definitely worth it. While breakfast doesn't have an overwhelming variety, every item tasted delicious. After booking, a dedicated person reached out to me. Later, I met Ms. Xiao Lu, who handled my arrangements. She was very professional and highly capable. Overall, I was very satisfied.

The mattress was incredibly comfortable, and the room had a fantastic view directly overlooking Jiuyan Bridge. My stay was really pleasant. I'd definitely consider staying here again next time I visit Chengdu. It's truly great, and the night view is stunning too. Thumbs up!

The lady at the front desk was very helpful during check-in and even upgraded my room for free. Any issues I had were quickly addressed and resolved – truly excellent service! My stay at the Shangri-La Chengdu was absolutely perfect. The hotel is located right by the Jinjiang River, and from the floor-to-ceiling windows, I could take in the beautiful Anshun Bridge and the Jinjiang night views. It’s also within walking distance of Taikoo Li, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The room was spacious and clean, with even the standard rooms exceeding 42 square meters. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area with high-quality amenities. The thoughtful turndown service at night and the complimentary local snacks were lovely touches that made the stay extra special. Service was consistently warm and attentive. The front desk staff were efficient and thorough, and all staff members were patient and helpful, responding quickly to any requests. The dining options were extensive; the Sichuan cuisine at 'Shang Palace' was authentic and delicious, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of choices. The heated swimming pool and the high-altitude executive lounge were excellent facilities, perfect for relaxing in my free time. Overall, the hotel perfectly blends elegant Sichuan charm with high-end comfort. It’s a peaceful oasis in a bustling area, and I highly recommend it for both business trips and leisure travel. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Chengdu.

The location is fantastic and the service is very attentive. It's super close to Taikoo Li and Chunxi Road, and Lan Kwai Fong is right downstairs. The only downside is that the windows were a bit dirty, which affected the view.

The location was great, very convenient for getting around. We visited during the summer peak season, so the breakfast area was quite crowded. The room itself was decent, but there were a few minor details that could be improved, like the sink stopper and a loose showerhead. Hope these can be fixed.

Front desk manager Sunny was very welcoming and helpful, and Xiaoqiu handled our check-out smoothly. It was a fantastic travel experience, and the hotel's restaurant was amazing. My child is already looking forward to staying here again!

I regret not staying here every night. The service was excellent, and the room was clean and tidy. In the evening, you could enjoy the Jinjiang River with its twinkling lights from the comfort of your room. Two dishes at the Club Lounge restaurant left a particularly strong impression. One was the low-GI rice, and the other was a lemon-flavored cream cake served at dinner that was absolutely amazing. You could tell a lot of thought went into it. I didn't feel like the hotel was old at all!

The hotel's interior design truly impressed me, from the lobby to the intricate details in the rooms, everything exuded quality. The staff's responsiveness and professionalism were also top-notch, fully meeting the expectations of a five-star establishment. However, since the hotel is quite old, despite evident renovations, some of the hardware still showed signs of age. Minor issues, like a sticky shower door, slightly impacted the overall experience. Regrettably, the surrounding area was a bit noisy. The bars downstairs were mostly pubs, lively but lacking a quiet whiskey bar where one could enjoy a peaceful drink.
