"Really liked the location of the hotel - was convenient yet in a location that’s not too noisy, just off King’s street at Flinders Lane. Really convenient many eateries, but will still need to walk about 10 minutes to Little Bourke street to access areas with more shops and eateries. Room was really good, a bit small, but clean and amenities were all there. Liked the fact there was a Nespresso machine as well."

"The location is genuinely great, right in Chinatown. Downstairs, you can find anything you want to eat. It's a perfect spot for Chinese tourists because you can get Chinese food anytime. If you need a convenience store, there's one right next door. You can also head to Chinatown for noodles in the morning. Across the street, there's a theater currently showing a Michael Jackson musical. You can check in online in advance; they'll send you an email. I checked in at the front desk, and the Indian guy was very friendly. They gave me a high-floor room. The room size isn't big, but it's just right for one or two people. The bed and pillows are comfortable, and it's very clean. However, there's no complimentary bottled water or slippers, which really surprised me. The bathroom also lacks a bath mat, so be careful when showering. Otherwise, everything else is pretty good. The gym isn't large, but the equipment is sufficient, with plenty of machines for compound training. I didn't opt for breakfast because there are so many food options downstairs, all within walking distance. The lobby bar on the ground floor is lively in the evenings. Overall, the price-performance ratio is excellent, but many things are minimalist, like the lack of slippers and water. The location is good, and the comfort level is adequate. So, if you prioritize price and location, this place is a solid choice."

"Arrived at hotel, advised I would have to pay for parking then told to just park outside for free. The elevator was out of action and told it would be working later that day, got there Tues left Thursday and still not working. Lucky I didn't have large bags because I was on the 3rd floor. The water pressure in the shower was very poor, hot water minimal and had to wait 5 min then a poor stream had to run around to get wet. So a bit overpriced for a hotel."

"I booked this hotel for a business trip by chance, and it completely exceeded my expectations! The location is perfect – quiet yet central, making it easy to meet clients while still being away from the hustle and bustle. The room facilities are new and complete, with a smart toilet, high-speed WiFi, and an HD TV, catering to both work and relaxation. The staff were incredibly attentive; they proactively helped me with my luggage and even upgraded my room for free. The freshly ground coffee and handmade pastries at breakfast were absolutely divine, starting my day off with energy. They even gave me a complimentary gift when I checked out, which really made a lasting impression! I've already recommended it to colleagues, and I'll definitely be staying here again on future visits."

"I have to talk about this place. When I first checked in, it seemed pretty good. The bedroom, kitchen, and living room were open-plan, with two glass doors that, when closed, created a bedroom, and when open, transformed into a large room. The design was excellent. However, issues arose when it was time to sleep. The light in the kitchen/hallway wouldn't turn off; the switch didn't work. If the bedroom had solid walls on two sides, it wouldn't have been a big deal, but with two glass curtain walls, the bedroom was as bright as the hallway. I went to the front desk, and they couldn't fix it either. In the end, they had to trip the breaker and promised to repair it the next day. The hotel's solution the next day was to remove the lightbulb. Fine, they removed it. But then, a day later, housekeeping put the bulb back in! So, that evening, we had to go to the front desk again. An Indian female manager there had a 'take it or leave it' attitude, basically saying, 'Either trip the breaker or remove the bulb.' We asked to change rooms, and the next day, they did move us. To our surprise, this new room was even more annoying. One wall had a triangular skylight – I have no idea why a room would need a skylight. For stargazing? I was tired of seeing that manager's face, so we contacted Trip.com's customer service. Their intervention was swift and effective, and the hotel's attitude changed noticeably. "The hotel staff were welcoming and ready to help. The hotel ammenities and location itself were perfect, from the pool there was a magnificent view of the sunset overlooking the city buildings. The charging ports in the room were practically placed, the beds were comfy, and the bathroom was modernly designed and spacious. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was calm, inviting, clean and modern, making its shared spaces comfortable to relax. Its convenient location allowed access to ”The District” on Docklands with a range of restaurants and shops alongside public transport. We really enjoyed our stay and definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, modern and enjoyable stay in Melbourne."

"The hotel is in a quiter part of Melbourne outside of CBD. The wifi is good until I had my business Teams call which became slightly jittery."

"We live near the hotel ourselves, but our home was under renovation, so we booked a night here. The hotel is actually a mixed-use commercial/residential apartment building, located in the Box Hill Chinese area on Whitehorse Road. It's just a few minutes' walk from the train station, tram stop, and nearby shopping center parking. Our go-to cafe, Zero Mode, is right downstairs. Similar to many business hotels in China, The Chen's rooms come with a mini-bar, kettle, teacups, tea bags, and instant coffee. What sets it apart are the additions of a sink, a toaster (common in most Australian hotels), a mini-fridge (larger than what you'd typically find in Chinese hotels), and an ironing board. Drawbacks: 1. The bathroom is quite small. The glass shower door has a hole where the handle is, and there's no rubber seal between the two glass panels. You have to be very careful not to point the shower head towards the door when showering, otherwise, water will spill out. 2. The bedside table between the two beds is tiny and doesn't fit much. Other notes: 1. The mattress is softer compared to hotels in China. 2. Like most international hotels, you have to pay to use the washing machine. Overall, this hotel is decent and suitable for a short stay."

"We stayed at Vibe Hotel Melbourne Docklands over the weekend and had a great experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and very spacious, with a lovely view. The bathtub was a real bonus and the range of toiletries provided was excellent. It was super easy to get into the city with a tram stop right out the front. Credit to the management for maintaining such a high standard throughout the hotel. We would definitely stay here again."
