Guest UserThis hotel boasts excellent facilities and a very clean environment. The Disney shuttle service is incredibly convenient, picking you up in the morning and dropping you off in the evening. They even provide water and snacks on the shuttle! The hotel now offers a well-equipped gym and a self-service laundry room. The lobby also has a dedicated kids' play area, an actual children's playground. For food delivery, a robot can bring it right to your room, which is super handy. The late-night snacks are also excellent and delicious. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone; this is my second time staying here!

Anonymous UserStaying at the Manxin Hotel Jing'an this time truly felt like coming home! Its location right next to the train station is incredibly convenient for travelers; you just walk a few steps with your luggage and you're there. The lobby felt so welcoming, and there's even a bakery on the first floor with delicious treats. The front desk staff, both the guys and girls, were incredibly warm and thoughtful. They even offered to help me with my many suitcases and took them up to my room. I also received a complimentary room upgrade, which I really appreciated. The room itself was not only clean, but the bedding was so soft and cozy. I slept soundly until I woke up naturally, and all my travel fatigue just melted away. My absolute favorite was their buffet breakfast, especially the freshly made wontons – piping hot and so comforting with every bite. Next time I'm in Shanghai, this will definitely be my top choice!

Guest UserThe room was very comfortable and quiet, I slept really well. I especially want to commend the service; the front desk staff was amazing, so warm and accommodating. They even allowed me to check out late at 3 PM due to my afternoon flight and arranged a ride to the airport. It was fantastic, highly recommend!

This hotel is quite suitable for a summer vacation stay, though it can get very crowded, so off-peak travel would be better. Rooms are in high demand, but the hotel itself is quite spacious. The rooms are around 50 square meters, and they even have a large bathtub, which the kids absolutely loved. Our family had a great time. I imagine many people come specifically for their pool; the outdoor pool is also great for photos and offers views of the distant mountains. Shout out to Bob for excellent service! Would definitely visit again!

The room overall was pretty good and very comfortable. The cleaning staff came every day to tidy up, and the hygiene was excellent. Room facilities were mostly fine. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and if a drink ran out, they'd proactively ask and refill it. The shuttle bus to the airport was punctual, and the front desk even gave a reminder call fifteen minutes beforehand. Within a one-kilometer radius, there's a Metro Line 2 station and a Bailian shopping mall, plus some other shops and convenience stores nearby, which is super convenient.

Guest UserDue to the recent Typhoon Dolphin, I opted for a staycation at Kerry Hotel Pudong by Shangri-La.
Upon arrival, there was no assistance from the bell staff or porters.
During checkin, The receptionist handed me a small slip of paper which, at first glance, I assumed was some sort of advisory regarding Typhoon Dolphin. Upon closer inspection, I realised that this tiny, thin and flimsy piece of paper was actually the Kerry Club welcome letter.
I found this genuinely surprising. A Club welcome letter is one of the first touchpoints for premium-room guests and would normally be presented on proper stationery. Instead, this looked more like a piece of scrap office paper I would use to test whether a pen still had ink.
More importantly, the receptionist did not explain my Club benefits. There was no explanation of breakfast hours, breakfast venue, hotel facilities, checkout time, Club Lounge opening hours or other Club privileges. There was not even a simple introduction along the lines of, “You have been assigned a park-facing room on the Club floor.”
As a result, when I entered my room on Level 25, I was initially rather confused.
My first impression was that the room felt noticeably dated and I genuinely could not tell whether I had actually been assigned a Club Room.
I was not sure if it was one.
There was no Club welcome letter placed on the desk, no welcome amenity and no Nespresso machine. In its place were several packets of instant coffee. Even the complimentary bottled water was the basic Coca-Cola-owned Chun Yue (纯悦) brand.
At that point, the sign along the corridor was the clearest indication I had received that this was a Club-level stay. Not a great first impression.
However, it did get better from there, since I discovered that John Masters toiletries were available in the bathroom, which were nice to use, and I was in fact placed in a high floor room that overlooked century park and I could see the lovely view of the 3 iconic skyscrapers of Shanghai.
The housekeeping team were amazing, the longest I waited was just 30 minutes after I had requested items, and they were checking in on whether I needed anything during the turndown service, they were also incredibly friendly and polite. The room was also immaculately cleaned. Truly 5 stars!
The lounge was also great - evidenced by the amount of people using it during my 3 nights here at this hotel- the lounge was always busy. The evening cocktail service served beyond the usual typical hors d'oeuvres, and was more like a simple dinner buffet. The main dish on my last night - Beef Biryani was really good, and quite authentic in my opinion. It was good by club lounge food standards. The club lounge staff were also excellent. I remember a Caucasian male staff member — unfortunately, I did not get his name or position — who spoke fluent English, answered my queries clearly and resolved any issues I had promptly. Kudos to him!
The gym was so huge and well equipped that I thought I had walked into an expensive commercial gym a la FitnessFirst or Virgin Active. The pool was also large with 5 swimming lanes.
Back to the room. The bed was quite hard. On the positive side, the air-conditioning remained strong, quiet and effective despite the age of the hotel.
The bathroom was probably where the age of the room was most apparent. There was no rain shower or bidet. Some of the floor tiles near the entrance also appeared to be loose, as I could hear and feel slight movement beneath them whenever I walked in and out.
Check-out was brisk and straightforward. This time, a member of staff proactively assisted me with my luggage, loaded my bags into my DiDi and helped with the car door.
Overall, I believe Kerry Hotel Pudong remains a good choice for business travellers who need to be close to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), Huamu or other parts of Pudong.
However, I would rate its value for money as merely average.

AXuaner~While the location of Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund is undeniably perfect, offering stunning views of both sides of the Huangpu River and Lujiazui from the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the service experience for a luxury hotel was quite disappointing. It took four calls to the front desk to get through at night, and the promised cake and welcome fruits only arrived right before bedtime. The aromatherapy for the turn-down service, which I specifically requested, was also missed. Furthermore, some of the facilities are starting to show their age. Overall, despite the beautiful hardware and views, the lack of attentive service and the aging facilities severely detracted from the stay, making it poor value for money.

WozhishixiangzuogehaorouThis hotel offers incredible value for money! I was surprised to find a pool and hot springs, and the room was quite spacious. While the immediate area isn't super convenient, ordering food delivery was easy, and the robot delivery was quick. The environment is absolutely lovely – surrounded by lush greenery, and the entire complex is very quiet. It was a fantastic staycation. My only minor complaint is that the breakfast could be better, and you have to pay upfront if you want to add it, you can't charge it to your room, which isn't very convenient. Finally, a big thank you to the hotel for the room upgrade, which really helped with accommodating my older child.

Guest UserDuring the May Day holiday, I specifically brought my child to visit Shanghai Wild Animal Park. After comparing many hotels in advance, I'm so glad I chose Guyiju Hotel! Traveling with kids, the last thing you want is a tiring and complicated experience. This hotel is perfect for family trips, from its location, environment, and hygiene to its service. The overall experience was absolutely fantastic, so I must give it a well-deserved five-star rating!
The location is truly unbeatable. It's incredibly close to Shanghai Wild Animal Park, just a 10-15 minute drive away. This means no early mornings and long commutes, and my child didn't get restless during the car ride. The hotel even offers a thoughtful complimentary shuttle service, dropping guests off at the zoo promptly at 9:00 AM and picking them up at 5:00 PM. This saved us the hassle of finding parking ourselves and made traveling with a child so much easier and more convenient. The surrounding area is also very well-equipped. Within walking distance, there are supermarkets, snack shops, convenience stores, and various restaurants. You can easily buy snacks, milk, and baby food that your child loves at any time. All daily essentials are taken care of in one go, meaning you don't need to carry a huge bag of supplies when you go out with your child. It's also very close to the subway, making it convenient to explore the city center later on.
The hotel's overall environment is quiet and elegant, with simple yet cozy decor. The lobby is clean, bright, and well-ventilated, without any noisy or bustling atmosphere, which is ideal for children to rest and play. The public areas are meticulously cleaned, spotless, and there are even resting chairs, so kids can sit down and take a break when they get tired. The whole atmosphere feels comfortable and reassuring.
The room's cleanliness was exceptionally good. Every corner of the room, under the bed, and the vanity area were spotless, free of any strange odors or dust. The bed was very comfortable, with a mattress that was just the right balance of soft and firm, so my child, after a day of playing, could lie down and sleep soundly. The bathroom had a wet and dry separation, and the floor was treated with anti-slip material, so I didn't have to worry about my child slipping and falling. The attention to detail extends to the room facilities, which are also very child-friendly. The smart lighting and automatic curtains are easy to operate, so you don't have to walk back and forth to switch things on and off, making it more convenient to care for your child. The toiletries are mild and non-irritating, which gave me peace of mind using them for my child. The Wi-Fi speed was also very fast, so my child could watch cartoons occasionally and adults could use their phones without any lag.
What I want to praise the most is the hotel's service. The front desk staff were incredibly gentle and patient. Check-in was quick, and they proactively and thoughtfully recommended a touring route for the zoo, suitable activities for children, and reminded us of important tips for traveling with kids. They even sent a fruit platter to our room. Any request we had, the front desk responded promptly. When my child temporarily needed hot water or a little help, the staff enthusiastically assisted, showing genuine warmth and kindness that made us feel very welcome.
The breakfast selection was also very rich, including light porridges, steamed buns, fried rice, multigrain side dishes, etc. The taste was light and not greasy, perfect for a child's stomach, easy to digest, and appealing to picky eaters. After a hearty breakfast, we were full of energy to explore the zoo. The hotel also has vending machines with drinks, snacks, and instant noodles, so even if you're too lazy to go out at night, you can easily get supplies. It's truly convenient when traveling with kids.
When traveling with children, cleanliness, safety, convenience, and ease are paramount, and Guyiju Hotel meets all these criteria. It offers excellent value for money, a quiet environment, impeccable hygiene, and warm service. Its proximity to the zoo and the shuttle service make it a true hidden gem for family trips. This May Day trip to Shanghai Wild Animal Park was so easy and enjoyable because we chose Guyiju Hotel. My child had a great time, and the adults weren't exhausted. I sincerely recommend this hotel to all parents bringing their children to Shanghai Wild Animal Park or Disneyland. Next time we visit Shanghai with our child, I will definitely choose to stay at Guyiju Hotel again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
