Yitel is like a beautiful melody played by Chinese and Western musical instruments. It is just like wandering along a forest path, listening to the gurgling stream, cleansing the dust and weariness of the soul.

"I had a wonderful 2-night stay at this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect, right by Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and very close to People's Square, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and taking the metro. The Double Bed Room A was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with great amenities like the mobile screen casting and a nice mini bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shanghai!"

The Shanghai Bund Puya Hotel is located on Beijing East Road, next to the Suzhou River, and offers breathtaking views of the Shanghai Bund. The hotel has a total of 18 floors, with more than 100 luxury rooms and suites. The excellent viewing angle in the room will never miss the wonderful difference between the day and night of the Bund. In this old ten-mile foreign land, today's financial hub, Puyan uses modern brushstrokes to meticulously depict the details of the iterations of time: the wonderful continuation of local traditional shapes, the exquisite carving of details, and the elegance of the East. The harmonious coexistence of the overall tone of light and dark, the minimalist art of extended lines, and the compatibility with modern rhythm. All kinds of ingenious designs create a subtle balance between modern and traditional, just like the cultural context of old Shanghai, which is both inclusive and accommodating.24-hour fitness center to keep you in shape at any time; The 18th-floor sky restaurant offers unobstructed views, allowing you to enjoy the dazzling night view of the Bund; The Chinese-style specialty restaurant interprets the authentic Shanghai local cuisine, and the star chefs skillfully prepare it, bringing a rich taste experience. "This hotel enjoys an unbeatable prime location with convenient access to attractions. The biggest highlight is the stunning night view from the room, where you can clearly overlook the Huangpu River and the iconic Oriental Pearl Tower. The dazzling city lights create an unforgettable visual treat. All staff members are warm, polite and responsive, offering thoughtful service whenever I needed help. The great location, breathtaking riverfront night scenery and [Heart][Heart][Heart]attentive staff made my trip extremely pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Shanghai."

"The hotel is conveniently located near Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. Walking to and from the Bund was quite tiring on the legs, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby, making dining in and ordering takeout very convenient. The room had a smart speaker that the kids loved using for voice control. The breakfast selection was quite rich. The suite came with one king bed and two single beds, which was perfect for families staying together. Two complimentary breakfasts were included. My only minor complaint was regarding a water delivery: I contacted the front desk for water and waited over two hours, only to find out they had delivered it to the wrong room. When we returned from sightseeing, I told the front desk they could deliver the water, and they had my family carry it up themselves..."

The Youli Hotel (Shanghai People's Square) is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Youli Hotel (Shanghai People's Square) is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Shanghai. The hotel is only 4km from Shanghai Railway Station and 14km from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. In addition, People's Square Metro Station is just a short walk away. Guests will find The Bund, Shanghai Sihang Warehouse Battle Memorial and Fuxing Park just a short distance from the hotel. In their spare time, guests can explore the hotel's surroundings. According to our guests, this hotel provides a very high level of service. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling with families.

"The room isn't huge, but the bathroom is quite spacious and functional. However, it's missing a retractable clothesline, which would be a useful addition. There's a small round table, and the TV wasn't used – it seemed to be disconnected from power. The door lock feels a bit flimsy, lacking an internal deadbolt. Also, the air conditioning is a central system. Even with outdoor temperatures around 25-28 degrees Celsius in the evening, setting it to 23 degrees didn't provide cooling or dehumidification. The view is good with a large window, but the screen is damaged and needs repairing. Another suggestion is to avoid putting the hairdryer in a black velvet bag; those bags shed a lot, and often I find myself having to wipe down and run the hairdryer to clean it when it comes from such packaging in many hotels. The staff were very good and responsive to guest feedback. You have to pick up food deliveries from the lobby, but that's acceptable."

"1. **Regarding the hardware:** The room itself is nice – clean, with new facilities, and in a great location close to the subway. However, because the location is so prime, space is at a premium, so the room size is limited. The TV is positioned in a way that takes up too much space, leaving almost no room between the bed and the TV, making it easy to bump into. 2. **Regarding the service:** The breakfast was good, and both the front desk and room service were excellent. 3. **Minor issues:** I suggest a thorough check of the entire building's air conditioning system. We were informed that there's central air conditioning and were advised not to use the in-room AC for energy saving and environmental protection. However, if you don't turn on the in-room AC, you'll be sweating profusely within minutes – it was 38 degrees outside and 30 degrees inside the room. But if you do turn on the AC, it gets a bit too cold. It's quite a dilemma. Also, the ventilation fan is a bit noisy. So, if you turn on the AC at night, it's cold; if you turn on the fan for ventilation, it's loud. If you don't turn anything on, it's too hot to sleep. I've stayed in other five-star hotels before where the room remained cool even with the AC off. I recommend addressing these issues."

Located in the Huangpu District of central Shanghai, Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden is near the famous Yuyuan Garden. It is within 5 minutes walk to Metro Line 10 Yuyuan Station and Line 8 Laoximen station. The hotel is only 10 minutes away from Xintiandi, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and the Bund. It is also surrounded by shopping malls and entertainment outlets. The hotel features 223 stylish rooms, a Chinese and French buffet breakfast restaurant and gym, which will be the ideal choice for business and leisure travellers.

"The service was excellent; I arrived at the hotel in the morning, and they allowed early check-in. The location is superb, within walking distance of Yu Garden and the City God Temple, and also walkable to the Bund and Nanjing Road. Yu Garden is less than a 10-minute walk away. Nearby, at Gangcheng Mingdu, you can find Haidilao hot pot and mala tang. There's also a convenience store just over the overpass. When I returned to the hotel in the evening, there was supper available. The self-service laundry was very convenient, and the lobby offered free herbal tea and hot tea. A great bonus was the shuttle service to Yu Garden, the Bund, Xintiandi, and Yunnan Road Food Street."

"Very nice room , with lovely staff. I was able to check in a bit earlier that was great thanks to Abby and another young lady working with her at the reception. The full buffet breakfast was very convenient with a lot of choice before starting the day. Not much English speaker but they do have phone translator. The entrance is on a back street but very easy to find. 3min walk from metro line 1 and 15min from people's park. Will stay again."

This hotel boasts excellent facilities and a very clean environment. The Disney shuttle service is incredibly convenient, picking you up in the morning and dropping you off in the evening. They even provide water and snacks on the shuttle! The hotel now offers a well-equipped gym and a self-service laundry room. The lobby also has a dedicated kids' play area, an actual children's playground. For food delivery, a robot can bring it right to your room, which is super handy. The late-night snacks are also excellent and delicious. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone; this is my second time staying here!

Staying at the Manxin Hotel Jing'an this time truly felt like coming home! Its location right next to the train station is incredibly convenient for travelers; you just walk a few steps with your luggage and you're there. The lobby felt so welcoming, and there's even a bakery on the first floor with delicious treats. The front desk staff, both the guys and girls, were incredibly warm and thoughtful. They even offered to help me with my many suitcases and took them up to my room. I also received a complimentary room upgrade, which I really appreciated. The room itself was not only clean, but the bedding was so soft and cozy. I slept soundly until I woke up naturally, and all my travel fatigue just melted away. My absolute favorite was their buffet breakfast, especially the freshly made wontons – piping hot and so comforting with every bite. Next time I'm in Shanghai, this will definitely be my top choice!

This hotel is quite suitable for a summer vacation stay, though it can get very crowded, so off-peak travel would be better. Rooms are in high demand, but the hotel itself is quite spacious. The rooms are around 50 square meters, and they even have a large bathtub, which the kids absolutely loved. Our family had a great time. I imagine many people come specifically for their pool; the outdoor pool is also great for photos and offers views of the distant mountains. Shout out to Bob for excellent service! Would definitely visit again!

The room overall was pretty good and very comfortable. The cleaning staff came every day to tidy up, and the hygiene was excellent. Room facilities were mostly fine. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and if a drink ran out, they'd proactively ask and refill it. The shuttle bus to the airport was punctual, and the front desk even gave a reminder call fifteen minutes beforehand. Within a one-kilometer radius, there's a Metro Line 2 station and a Bailian shopping mall, plus some other shops and convenience stores nearby, which is super convenient.

Kerry Hotel Pudong Shanghai

Due to the recent Typhoon Dolphin, I opted for a staycation at Kerry Hotel Pudong by Shangri-La. Upon arrival, there was no assistance from the bell staff or porters. During checkin, The receptionist handed me a small slip of paper which, at first glance, I assumed was some sort of advisory regarding Typhoon Dolphin. Upon closer inspection, I realised that this tiny, thin and flimsy piece of paper was actually the Kerry Club welcome letter. I found this genuinely surprising. A Club welcome letter is one of the first touchpoints for premium-room guests and would normally be presented on proper stationery. Instead, this looked more like a piece of scrap office paper I would use to test whether a pen still had ink. More importantly, the receptionist did not explain my Club benefits. There was no explanation of breakfast hours, breakfast venue, hotel facilities, checkout time, Club Lounge opening hours or other Club privileges. There was not even a simple introduction along the lines of, “You have been assigned a park-facing room on the Club floor.” As a result, when I entered my room on Level 25, I was initially rather confused. My first impression was that the room felt noticeably dated and I genuinely could not tell whether I had actually been assigned a Club Room. I was not sure if it was one. There was no Club welcome letter placed on the desk, no welcome amenity and no Nespresso machine. In its place were several packets of instant coffee. Even the complimentary bottled water was the basic Coca-Cola-owned Chun Yue (纯悦) brand. At that point, the sign along the corridor was the clearest indication I had received that this was a Club-level stay. Not a great first impression. However, it did get better from there, since I discovered that John Masters toiletries were available in the bathroom, which were nice to use, and I was in fact placed in a high floor room that overlooked century park and I could see the lovely view of the 3 iconic skyscrapers of Shanghai. The housekeeping team were amazing, the longest I waited was just 30 minutes after I had requested items, and they were checking in on whether I needed anything during the turndown service, they were also incredibly friendly and polite. The room was also immaculately cleaned. Truly 5 stars! The lounge was also great - evidenced by the amount of people using it during my 3 nights here at this hotel- the lounge was always busy. The evening cocktail service served beyond the usual typical hors d'oeuvres, and was more like a simple dinner buffet. The main dish on my last night - Beef Biryani was really good, and quite authentic in my opinion. It was good by club lounge food standards. The club lounge staff were also excellent. I remember a Caucasian male staff member — unfortunately, I did not get his name or position — who spoke fluent English, answered my queries clearly and resolved any issues I had promptly. Kudos to him! The gym was so huge and well equipped that I thought I had walked into an expensive commercial gym a la FitnessFirst or Virgin Active. The pool was also large with 5 swimming lanes. Back to the room. The bed was quite hard. On the positive side, the air-conditioning remained strong, quiet and effective despite the age of the hotel. The bathroom was probably where the age of the room was most apparent. There was no rain shower or bidet. Some of the floor tiles near the entrance also appeared to be loose, as I could hear and feel slight movement beneath them whenever I walked in and out. Check-out was brisk and straightforward. This time, a member of staff proactively assisted me with my luggage, loaded my bags into my DiDi and helped with the car door. Overall, I believe Kerry Hotel Pudong remains a good choice for business travellers who need to be close to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC), Huamu or other parts of Pudong. However, I would rate its value for money as merely average.

While the location of Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund is undeniably perfect, offering stunning views of both sides of the Huangpu River and Lujiazui from the floor-to-ceiling windows, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the service experience for a luxury hotel was quite disappointing. It took four calls to the front desk to get through at night, and the promised cake and welcome fruits only arrived right before bedtime. The aromatherapy for the turn-down service, which I specifically requested, was also missed. Furthermore, some of the facilities are starting to show their age. Overall, despite the beautiful hardware and views, the lack of attentive service and the aging facilities severely detracted from the stay, making it poor value for money.

This hotel offers incredible value for money! I was surprised to find a pool and hot springs, and the room was quite spacious. While the immediate area isn't super convenient, ordering food delivery was easy, and the robot delivery was quick. The environment is absolutely lovely – surrounded by lush greenery, and the entire complex is very quiet. It was a fantastic staycation. My only minor complaint is that the breakfast could be better, and you have to pay upfront if you want to add it, you can't charge it to your room, which isn't very convenient. Finally, a big thank you to the hotel for the room upgrade, which really helped with accommodating my older child.

The room's cleanliness was well-maintained; there were no strange odors upon entering, and all areas were tidied up. The room facilities were in good condition, providing a high level of comfort. The hotel's overall environment was upscale and comfortable, with complete amenities. It's very convenient for dining, entertainment, and shopping nearby. During the May Day holiday, I specifically brought my child to visit Shanghai Wild Animal Park. After comparing many hotels in advance, I'm so glad I chose Guyiju Hotel! Traveling with kids, the last thing you want is a tiring and complicated experience. This hotel is perfect for family trips, from its location, environment, and hygiene to its service. The overall experience was absolutely fantastic, so I must give it a well-deserved five-star rating! The location is truly unbeatable. It's incredibly close to Shanghai Wild Animal Park, just a 10-15 minute drive away. This means no early mornings and long commutes, and my child didn't get restless during the car ride. The hotel even offers a thoughtful complimentary shuttle service, dropping guests off at the zoo promptly at 9:00 AM and picking them up at 5:00 PM. This saved us the hassle of finding parking ourselves and made traveling with a child so much easier and more convenient. The surrounding area is also very well-equipped. Within walking distance, there are supermarkets, snack shops, convenience stores, and various restaurants. You can easily buy snacks, milk, and baby food that your child loves at any time. All daily essentials are taken care of in one go, meaning you don't need to carry a huge bag of supplies when you go out with your child. It's also very close to the subway, making it convenient to explore the city center later on. The hotel's overall environment is quiet and elegant, with simple yet cozy decor. The lobby is clean, bright, and well-ventilated, without any noisy or bustling atmosphere, which is ideal for children to rest and play. The public areas are meticulously cleaned, spotless, and there are even resting chairs, so kids can sit down and take a break when they get tired. The whole atmosphere feels comfortable and reassuring. The room's cleanliness was exceptionally good. Every corner of the room, under the bed, and the vanity area were spotless, free of any strange odors or dust. The bed was very comfortable, with a mattress that was just the right balance of soft and firm, so my child, after a day of playing, could lie down and sleep soundly. The bathroom had a wet and dry separation, and the floor was treated with anti-slip material, so I didn't have to worry about my child slipping and falling. The attention to detail extends to the room facilities, which are also very child-friendly. The smart lighting and automatic curtains are easy to operate, so you don't have to walk back and forth to switch things on and off, making it more convenient to care for your child. The toiletries are mild and non-irritating, which gave me peace of mind using them for my child. The Wi-Fi speed was also very fast, so my child could watch cartoons occasionally and adults could use their phones without any lag. What I want to praise the most is the hotel's service. The front desk staff were incredibly gentle and patient. Check-in was quick, and they proactively and thoughtfully recommended a touring route for the zoo, suitable activities for children, and reminded us of important tips for traveling with kids. They even sent a fruit platter to our room. Any request we had, the front desk responded promptly. When my child temporarily needed hot water or a little help, the staff enthusiastically assisted, showing genuine warmth and kindness that made us feel very welcome. The breakfast selection was also very rich, including light porridges, steamed buns, fried rice, multigrain side dishes, etc. The taste was light and not greasy, perfect for a child's stomach, easy to digest, and appealing to picky eaters. After a hearty breakfast, we were full of energy to explore the zoo. The hotel also has vending machines with drinks, snacks, and instant noodles, so even if you're too lazy to go out at night, you can easily get supplies. It's truly convenient when traveling with kids. When traveling with children, cleanliness, safety, convenience, and ease are paramount, and Guyiju Hotel meets all these criteria. It offers excellent value for money, a quiet environment, impeccable hygiene, and warm service. Its proximity to the zoo and the shuttle service make it a true hidden gem for family trips. This May Day trip to Shanghai Wild Animal Park was so easy and enjoyable because we chose Guyiju Hotel. My child had a great time, and the adults weren't exhausted. I sincerely recommend this hotel to all parents bringing their children to Shanghai Wild Animal Park or Disneyland. Next time we visit Shanghai with our child, I will definitely choose to stay at Guyiju Hotel again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
