"My experience at the Shangri-La Hotel was excellent. Both the service and cleanliness were top-notch. A special thank you to our butler, Nina, for her exceptional service! We had booked a Horizon Club room, but upon arrival, we were initially directed to the Qingxiang Pavilion. Nina proactively added us on WeChat and personally escorted us to the Horizon Club for check-in. Learning that we were traveling by car, she took the initiative to register our license plate, telling us to relax in our room first and informing us that parking would be free during our stay. This made entering and exiting the parking garage very convenient, saving us a lot of hassle. During our stay, Nina would ask for our preferred time daily to deliver fresh fruit to our room. She also thoughtfully provided special Qingdao local beverages, which I absolutely loved. This really allowed us to experience the rich local culture of Qingdao, greatly enhancing our trip. When the hotel conducted a voltage check, Nina promptly messaged us to remind us and assured us there was nothing to worry about, showing incredible foresight. When we checked out, we had a lot of luggage. After I explained the situation to Nina, she immediately arranged for a bellhop to help us bring our bags downstairs. She anticipated every need throughout our stay, making the entire check-in process incredibly smooth. The service was warm and attentive. I truly love the Shangri-La Hotel in Qingdao; it's a benchmark in the industry!"

"I rarely write hotel reviews, but this time I genuinely want to summarize my stay. Having always stayed at big international chain hotels, I've always wanted to experience The Lalu, and this time I finally had the chance. In short, this trip offered both visual pleasure and a heartwarming experience! Upon entering the room, I was stunned by the beautiful view – it was just as impressive as some higher-priced beachfront/island hotels I've stayed in. The room was spacious, with ample space in each functional area. You could even see the 'bamboo forest' from the shower, which added a nice touch. The bed was large enough for a family of three, and the bedding and amenities were all exquisite and high-end. Sitting on the balcony, watching the clear water (you could even see the rocks beneath the surface) was incredibly relaxing. Coupled with the bonfire on the beach downstairs and the illuminated May Fourth Square across the bay, the visual delight was undeniable. The infinity pool further enhanced this experience; both my child and I had a great time, from the shallow area (just over 1 meter deep) to the 2.1-meter deep end! All the facilities are standard for a high-end or star-rated hotel, but the real highlight of my stay was the exceptional soft service! The hotel receptionist, or rather, my butler Wanwan Van, proactively contacted me the day before my arrival to inquire about my arrival time and check-in needs, making arrangements in advance. After we arrived, she again proactively asked about our needs, specifically arranged amenities for my child, and even kindly offered us complimentary fruit. To allow my child more playtime the next morning, she proactively offered us a suitable late check-out. Throughout the entire process, she anticipated all our needs; before we even had to ask, she had already made arrangements. This level of service is lacking in many, many even more luxurious hotels, so she absolutely deserves a thumbs-up 👍. I also hope more hotels can achieve this standard. In conclusion, The Lalu is worth revisiting with family. P.S. A little tip: During the peak summer season, if you arrive early at the hotel after completing check-in, you can head straight to the infinity pool – it's a lot of fun – or explore the hotel and enjoy the scenery. It's definitely worth taking photos."

"The environment is relatively quiet, with fewer people compared to other hotels. The semi-buffet breakfast has also been cancelled, probably due to cost-cutting. For a price of 2600 a night, I didn't experience the meticulous and thoughtful service that I'd expect; it was much worse than other five-star hotels. I'm not sure if this is a Qingdao characteristic or a brand characteristic. There was no room upgrade, and my child's breakfast was only waived after a hygiene issue in the room. The turndown service was decent. Overall, the value for money is very low."

"I stayed for two nights, one in a sea view room and one in a city view room. After my stay, I can definitely say that the sea view room is worth the extra cost. We stayed in a twin sea view room on the 17th floor, which offered an expansive view and beautiful scenery. Opening the window to see the ocean instantly lifted my spirits. The room was very spacious, the facilities were brand new, and the bedding was quite comfortable. The breakfast selection was rich and delicious; the Roujiamo, egg tarts, Jianbing, and Japanese bibimbap were all exceptionally good. I also tried the executive lounge on the 30th floor, which had an amazing view overlooking the sea. For dinner, there was a wide variety of options including desserts, seafood, stir-fried dishes, cold dishes, and sushi. The desserts weren't overly sweet, the seafood was very fresh, and the overall taste of the dishes was good. The beverage selection was also extensive. The pool and gym on the 31st floor offer stunning sea views if you visit during the day, making for a superb experience. The hotel also offers daily family-friendly activities such as Hanfu experiences and movie screenings, ensuring guests won't get bored even if they don't go out. I also have to mention MGM's milk tea – it had just the right amount of sweetness and a rich tea flavor. Even as someone who doesn't usually enjoy milk tea, I thought it was excellent, living up to its reputation as a popular internet celebrity drink. If I had to pick any downsides, one is that delivery orders cannot be brought directly to the room, and the other is that the cleanliness of the sink could be improved. All in all, my two-night stay at MGM provided the most satisfying accommodation experience of my Qingdao trip."

Two in-house restaurants to choose from was a real bonus, and a short walk to the ocean was also great I'll definitely return!"
