Across the street is Jidi Plaza, where you can eat at Shuangheyuan, and about a ten-minute walk away, you'll find Zhongpin Laofangzi Guotie. The hygiene is very good; even the sofa cushions were plastic-wrapped. The facilities are comprehensive; the public area has a washing machine, dryer, and even an induction cooker, which is very convenient for washing and drying clothes after a trip to the beach. The downsides are that the decor is a bit old-fashioned, and the hairdryer is not good – I recommend replacing it, as the airflow is weak and the temperature is high."

"My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. I arrived around 4 PM to check in, only to be told by the front desk that my room was still being cleaned and wasn't ready. When I asked how long I'd have to wait, the staff member handling check-ins was unhelpful, saying they didn't know and suggested I wait in my friend's room until mine was ready. What if I wasn't traveling with a friend? Would I just have to sit in the lobby indefinitely? After I pressed further, the staff member finally contacted housekeeping, only to tell me it would still be another 40 minutes. Given that the standard check-in time had already passed, this arrangement was clearly unacceptable. After I voiced more concerns, the front desk finally asked another colleague to assist, and my room was switched from the 18th floor to a suite on the 11th floor. While it happened to be next to my friend's room, which I accepted, the significant drop in floor level still felt like a downgrade to me. Throughout this whole process, the hotel offered no apology nor did they consider any reasonable compensation. The only positive during my stay was a front desk staff member near the express locker. I had a package delivered to the hotel but couldn't find it. This staff member patiently helped me track it down and diligently searched for it. It turned out the package was still inside the hotel's delivery robot, which hadn't returned to the front desk yet. Less than a minute later, the robot returned, and I successfully retrieved my package. I'm grateful for this staff member's proactive and responsible assistance; their service attitude was a stark contrast to the one during check-in. Upon checking out, when asked for feedback, I honestly relayed the entire situation. The hotel only offered a small bag of souvenirs containing a fridge magnet, which felt like a perfunctory attempt to handle the complaint rather than genuinely addressing guest dissatisfaction. The hotel's location is decent, not too far from the city center, but the room decor is very old-fashioned, soundproofing is terrible, and the sink had noticeable stains. The shower drain was poor, causing water to flow out of the cubicle when showering. The breakfast selection wasn't small, but the taste was mediocre, and some food items didn't seem fresh enough. The pool is very small and was mostly occupied by children's training classes during the summer holiday; the gym had very limited equipment, mainly treadmills. Considering the price of the hotel, neither the service nor the facilities met expected standards, especially the cold and impatient attitude of the staff member during check-in, which was very unpleasant. While the service of a few individual staff members was commendable, it wasn't enough to compensate for the overall experience. I will not be staying at this hotel again, nor will I prioritize other hotels within the same group."

"My parents used to bring me to Zhongshan Road often to eat grilled meat skewers and drink Qingdao's old yogurt when I was a child. Now, I want to bring my own kids to experience it. I found the Qingting Courtyard Hotel online and was told not to get a street-facing room. When I arrived, I realized the family rooms are all street-facing, but it wasn't noisy at all. It was very clean and thoughtful, with a lovely little courtyard. The laundry and drying facilities were also very convenient. Most importantly, the staff were incredibly enthusiastic, and the location is super convenient. Highly recommended! I'm even planning to bring my parents here to stay in a couple of days. ✌✌"

"Traveling with my child during the summer vacation, I deliberated for a long time between the St. Regis, MGM, and Haitang Hotel, and ultimately chose Haitang. It turns out I made the right choice. The hotel is very new, and apart from the slightly small rooms, I was quite satisfied with everything else, and it was very clean. The location is also excellent; the side sea view room initially felt a bit misleading, but every afternoon while lounging on the sofa, I had a full panoramic sea view. I'm not sure if it's due to the season or the hotel's overall good climate control, but the humidity felt just right, so comfortable that I didn't want to leave. The service was even more outstanding, from check-in to final departure, the entire experience was great, and they were very accommodating. The most important thing to highlight is that their breakfast was truly delicious; you could tell a lot of effort went into it, and the restaurant on the third floor was also very tasty. Plus, they offered complimentary afternoon tea and a sightseeing tour of 'Sea and Sky' (海上云天), so the value for money was actually quite good."

"For a B&B, the room facilities are really comprehensive, probably the best we've encountered in any B&B we've stayed at. The private butler service was excellent and met all our requests! We didn't have time to experience the cliffside sea view photography, but we think it would be great for younger couples or families. The breakfast offered three choices, simple but tasty, and well-presented. The restaurant environment was lovely, and you could tell the dishes were creatively and carefully prepared by a professional chef. Each dish was generously portioned and very photogenic. The only slight letdown was the black vein in the shrimp, and the stir-fried shepherd's purse with clam meat had some sand, which wasn't ideal and needs improvement. However, the chicken and large steamed buns were absolutely delicious and faultless. A special shout-out to the restaurant staff, especially the enthusiastic and attentive young waiter. You can access the beach directly from the restaurant, and getting to nearby attractions is easy with a tour bus, public transport, or a ride-hailing app. Overall, it's very convenient."

"Staying at the MGM Qingdao was a fantastic experience overall, and I must particularly commend the concierge, front desk, and Guest Relations Manager, Elly. When I arrived, the concierge proactively opened the door and handled my luggage, offered me complimentary water, and even helped store my unused bags, which was incredibly convenient. The front desk service was efficient and patient, without any rigid procedures. They proactively asked about my check-in preferences and thoroughly explained breakfast times and hotel facilities. The hotel environment is elegant, and the room was clean and odor-free. Elly from Guest Relations was incredibly warm and generous, and definitely not perfunctory. Her meticulous service truly eased my travel fatigue. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Qingdao."

The breakfast selection was rich and balanced, with a good mix of meat and vegetables. The hotel's location is great for transportation; it's easy to get to various attractions by subway or taxi. The hotel environment is quiet, so after a day of sightseeing, we could fully relax. Molly was very friendly and patiently answered all our questions. It felt really reassuring and comfortable for our family trip."
