"The environment is relatively quiet, with fewer people compared to other hotels. The semi-buffet breakfast has also been cancelled, probably due to cost-cutting. For a price of 2600 a night, I didn't experience the meticulous and thoughtful service that I'd expect; it was much worse than other five-star hotels. I'm not sure if this is a Qingdao characteristic or a brand characteristic. There was no room upgrade, and my child's breakfast was only waived after a hygiene issue in the room. The turndown service was decent. Overall, the value for money is very low."

"I stayed for two nights, one in a sea view room and one in a city view room. After my stay, I can definitely say that the sea view room is worth the extra cost. We stayed in a twin sea view room on the 17th floor, which offered an expansive view and beautiful scenery. Opening the window to see the ocean instantly lifted my spirits. The room was very spacious, the facilities were brand new, and the bedding was quite comfortable. The breakfast selection was rich and delicious; the Roujiamo, egg tarts, Jianbing, and Japanese bibimbap were all exceptionally good. I also tried the executive lounge on the 30th floor, which had an amazing view overlooking the sea. For dinner, there was a wide variety of options including desserts, seafood, stir-fried dishes, cold dishes, and sushi. The desserts weren't overly sweet, the seafood was very fresh, and the overall taste of the dishes was good. The beverage selection was also extensive. The pool and gym on the 31st floor offer stunning sea views if you visit during the day, making for a superb experience. The hotel also offers daily family-friendly activities such as Hanfu experiences and movie screenings, ensuring guests won't get bored even if they don't go out. I also have to mention MGM's milk tea – it had just the right amount of sweetness and a rich tea flavor. Even as someone who doesn't usually enjoy milk tea, I thought it was excellent, living up to its reputation as a popular internet celebrity drink. If I had to pick any downsides, one is that delivery orders cannot be brought directly to the room, and the other is that the cleanliness of the sink could be improved. All in all, my two-night stay at MGM provided the most satisfying accommodation experience of my Qingdao trip."

"Overall, I'm quite disappointed. I definitely wouldn't recommend this hotel for families with young children. Let's start with the positives, which go to the housekeeping staff. They provided plenty of water. I don't like the light from alarm clocks, and the attendant noticed I'd turned mine slightly away, understood I disliked the light, and even flipped it over for me. Very thoughtful service! Now for the many negatives! First, the front desk staff. I had purchased a voucher for two rooms for two nights, and I made this clear at check-in. However, on the third day, they still called me around noon asking if I was extending my stay, which disrupted my rest. Later, our room cards stopped working, leaving three adults and two children stranded on another floor. Extremely frustrating! The correct procedure would have been for them to check my reservation before calling, realize I had another booking, and then have an attendant deliver new cards to my room. Thumbs down! No breakfast in the executive lounge – thumbs down! If the executive lounge doesn't offer breakfast, then there should at least be a dedicated dining area in the main restaurant for executive room guests, offering priority seating. I booked an executive room precisely because I wanted to avoid crowded breakfasts and long queues. If I had known they couldn't provide this service, I would have chosen a different hotel or not booked an executive room, as there's a premium price attached, right? The hotel's family facilities – thumbs down! There are absolutely no family facilities, no kids' playground, and no kids' club activities. Nothing for toddlers to do. The beach – thumbs down! If you're coming specifically for the beach, don't bother. The hotel's so-called private beach is surrounded by two drainage outlets. When it rained, we could see dark, murky water being discharged directly into it. I wouldn't dare let my children play there. So, you'd have to walk quite a distance anyway, making staying here completely unnecessary. The rooms are very small. There are no connecting rooms, and even rooms of the same type aren't adjacent (according to the hotel staff themselves). The two rooms they assigned us had several other rooms in between, which was very inconvenient."

"This hotel's biggest draws are its unbeatable location and incredible sea views. It's right next to the Olympic Sailing Center, and you can walk straight out to May Fourth Square, making it a prime spot for watching the light show. The rooms are spacious and bright, especially the high-floor sea-view rooms – you can lie on the sofa and take in the stunning night views of Fushan Bay. The breakfast is varied and includes local specialties. Service is top-notch; the front desk staff are professional and friendly, accommodating room requests. While it's an older five-star hotel that's been open for years and shows a bit of age, it's generally well-maintained and doesn't detract from a comfortable stay. With Hisense Plaza nearby, shopping and dining are incredibly convenient. It’s perfect for travelers who prioritize great views and convenience."

"This is an older, well-established hotel with high standards of cleanliness. The housekeeping staff, especially, replaced the pillows and sheets daily. Amy, the duty manager at the front desk, even gave us a free room upgrade. And the breakfast at Crowne Plaza is fantastic, a great blend of Chinese and Western dishes, with the Western options being particularly authentic. Definitely worth checking out!"
