Sea View Garden Hotel

This five-star A+ hotel is a must-choose for families traveling with children! We booked the Ultraman-themed room and participated in activities like making butter cookies, playing board games, and listening to picture book stories. There's also a playground, two pools (indoor and outdoor), and they even provide tools for digging in the sand – so thoughtful, the kids loved it. The hotel provided fresh fruit in our room daily, and they replenished it promptly. My child couldn't reach the sink faucet, so we requested a step stool, and they responded immediately. It would be even better if there was a kids' water park and a one-on-one butler service for the rooms. I'm comparing it to a trip I took to Sanya; their five-star A+ hotels are truly unparalleled. Overall, for a family trip, the Qingdao Seaview Garden Hotel is really excellent!

The room was very clean, tidy, and comfortable. It was a sea-view room, and on clear days, you could enjoy a stunning view of the sky and sea merging into one. Unfortunately, it rained during my stay, so the beautiful scenery was short-lived. It's super convenient for seeing the sea; you can walk to the beach in less than five minutes. It's also very close to many attractions. Plus, there's a kids' playground where my child made crafts every day and had a blast!

1. **Double Standards in Service, Treating Guests Like Fools** I arrived at 12 PM, hungry and exhausted, only to be denied check-in by the front desk, citing room cleaning. They said check-in was officially after 2 PM and tried to coax me into storing my luggage and buying a charging bank in the lobby, suggesting I go out and come back later. I refused to store my luggage and waited in the lobby for less than 15 minutes before another front desk agent informed me my room was ready. If it only took 15 minutes, why did they try to deceive me into believing it would take two hours? Was it just to pressure me into buying a charging bank? 2. **Outdated Hardware, Negligent Maintenance** For a room costing nearly a thousand yuan a night, water dripped from the bathroom door frame for an entire day and night! The next day, a technician came and said it was an air conditioning leak. So, if I hadn't complained, would guests just have to live in a 'water curtain cave'? The facilities are poorly maintained and outdated; the area around the sink was grimy. 3. **Horrendous View, Ruining the Mood** My north-facing room window overlooked a desolate, messy landscape that resembled an abandoned graveyard, with tomb-like mounds of earth. It was incredibly unsettling and creepy even in broad daylight, severely impacting my vacation mood. 4. **Extremely Poor Value for Money** The location is incredibly inconvenient. The advertised 'prime location' is over a 20-minute walk from the subway station, with nothing else nearby. In the scorching sun, the only option for getting around is a taxi. Breakfast costs an additional 100 yuan per person, which is definitely not worth the price. **Summary:** Paying nearly 1,000 yuan a night got me treated like a fool by the front desk, listening to leaks, and staring at a graveyard. Choose wisely; anyone who stays here is getting ripped off.

After checking in and dropping off our bags on the first day, we went out for dinner. When we returned, the safety latch on our door was engaged from the outside, and the door was open. It was clear someone had entered and forgotten to close it. We contacted the hotel, but they denied it was their fault. Luckily, nothing was missing, so we just let it go. We're traveling with children, and the security here definitely needs improvement.

I stayed for 7 days. The environment, facilities, hygiene, and service were all great. The room was spacious with an open balcony overlooking the beautiful sea, including Swallow Island Park, which has a lovely beach perfect for kids to play on, and adults can enjoy a relaxing and therapeutic walk along the shore. I slept very well during my week-long stay. The activity area on the B1 floor offers plenty of kid-friendly spaces and activities, including a mini cinema. The in-room TV also has a wide selection of movies, and you can cast content to it. My favorite feature was the self-service laundry room. My clothes always came out fragrant and warm after washing and drying. Staying here meant I didn't need to pack a lot of clothes or deal with a pile of dirty laundry. However, during peak hours, it would be better if the laundry room was more orderly. (I distinctly remember an inconsiderate and selfish female guest who hogged two out of the three washing machines while many people were waiting. She used a large machine for just two items. This meant subsequent guests had to wait at least 36 minutes per machine. I hope the hotel can manage this better to prevent such misuse of public resources.) The hotel staff were very thoughtful, bringing different small toys for my child every day. The mini-bar and fruit platter were always replenished. Service calls were answered quickly, and my requests, like getting takeout or extra water, were promptly attended to. This is a very heartwarming hotel that truly prioritizes guest experience. On my way home, I even received a follow-up call about my stay, where they patiently listened to my suggestions and even sent me a souvenir. I was touched once again. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Qingdao.

Fantastic stay! We got upgraded to a front-facing sea view room, which was absolutely beautiful. The kids loved the outdoor pool so much they didn't want to leave. The hotel is also conveniently located right across the street from the beach, perfect for some beachcombing ✌️. When my child cut their finger, housekeeping promptly sent up band-aids and iodine. The staff also helped my parents connect to the Wi-Fi when they delivered our luggage to the room. Overall, the service was excellent.

The kids had a blast! There's an outdoor pool, a playground, and they even got a little gift every evening. It was also pretty convenient to get to all the attractions by taxi, as nothing was too far. The service was really efficient; anything we needed was brought to our room right away.

I only spent two days in Qingdao and chose this hotel, and it offered excellent value for money. The hotel has its own buffet for lunch and dinner, with an incredibly wide variety of dishes. It's clean and delicious, perfectly satisfying the different needs of both adults and children. It's also only about a 10-minute drive from the Polar Ocean World and Olympic Sailing Center, and there's a shuttle bus in the morning, making it a top choice if you're traveling with kids! All in all, this was a fantastic experience, and I've already recommended it to my family.
