Absolutely disappointing. Appalling service. We picked this hotel for its location, which turned out a bit further than expected. Would not recommend to anyone - hands down one of the few worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had in my life despite a higher price tag than other hotels in the city. We were put in a room that smelled of smoke. We were thirsty after a long flight - for well over an hour we asked for an additional bottle of water per person and 1 to spare. The staff deliberately toyed with us. We called and politely asking Guest Service, Concierge, and Room Service multiple times and were verbally promised each time but was never delivered in the end. I finally went down in person to the front desk to ask for water but was patronized and scolded by one of the male staff that we should not request for more water as only 4 total bottles, regardless of how many people in our group, would be given, despite other staff having previously promised for more and for my lack of knowledge of their “policy” of minimal water given to guests, before giving me a contemptuous look and handing over 4 bottles. I was only politely asking for 4 bottles of water and had not asked for anything else before - their reactions were unwarranted. The fourth time I called Room Service, asking in English, the staff simply hung up on me without finding someone to converse with me. I believe the staff were discriminating against us for our Mandarin accent as non-first language speakers or perhaps also our muddy attire after a long trip. The staff’s behavior and terrible hospitality almost ruined our trip.
