Qingdao Litian Hotel（May Fourth Square）

First, the pros: the location is excellent, right near the Yan'an 3rd Road Metro Station on Line 3, making it convenient to get anywhere. Across the street is Jidi Plaza, where you can eat at Shuangheyuan, and about a ten-minute walk away, you'll find Zhongpin Laofangzi Guotie. The hygiene is very good; even the sofa cushions were plastic-wrapped. The facilities are comprehensive; the public area has a washing machine, dryer, and even an induction cooker, which is very convenient for washing and drying clothes after a trip to the beach. The downsides are that the decor is a bit old-fashioned, and the hairdryer is not good – I recommend replacing it, as the airflow is weak and the temperature is high.

The hotel is super close to Yan'an 3rd Road subway station, which is a big plus. We stayed in a sea view room, and while you could see the ocean in the distance, there was a building blocking part of the view. The room itself wasn't very spacious, and the bathroom was tiny – the door practically hit the toilet when you opened it! 😂 There are only two elevators in the hotel, so you might have to wait a bit during busy times.

This hotel is excellent! When I first arrived, the front desk lady greeted me with a smile and helped me check in. My ID card sleeve was a bit old, and she kindly replaced it for free. Since we arrived early, they arranged a sea-view room, 601, for us. They even took our luggage to the room later, so my friend and I could go out and explore with peace of mind. The room facilities were very complete, especially the individually wrapped towels and shower slippers, which was a pleasant surprise. The welcome fruit was two yellow peaches and an apple, and they were quite sweet. The bed was also very comfortable. I was also pleasantly surprised by the hotel's breakfast; the fried fries there were delicious! What made me happiest was that each floor had a dedicated cleaner. The cleaner on the sixth floor was so enthusiastic and always greeted us whenever we met. I wanted to use the washing machine but wasn't sure how, and she proactively came to help me, which was very heartwarming. Moreover, when they cleaned the room, they replaced all the usable items with new ones. They gave us new toothbrushes but also left our old ones, which I thought was a thoughtful and detailed touch. They even gave us a bottle of water when we left. Overall, the service felt very warm and welcoming. However, the only minor downsides were that there was no screen mirroring function and no handheld showerhead (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞. Everything else was great!

The room was very clean and tidy. The hotel's towels and other amenities were individually packaged and sterilized, which made me feel very secure using them – a huge plus for someone like me with a bit of a germ phobia. A special thanks to attendant #19 who, while cleaning our room, noticed we needed somewhere to hang our clothes and promptly provided a drying rack, and even brought us a fruit platter! This level of attentiveness and warmth definitely deserves a mention. If I have the chance, I would absolutely choose Litian Hotel again for my stay.

I've been bringing my kids to Qingdao for five years in a row, having visited in spring, summer, and winter. Each time, we've stayed at the Litian Hotel. Its location is excellent, not far from the beach and the train station, and there's a subway station right downstairs, which is incredibly convenient. The hotel environment is great, the staff are enthusiastic, and the breakfast is very rich. This time, we stayed on the 12th floor, and the cleaning lady was exceptionally nice. I definitely have to give it a five-star rating.

Everything about this hotel was satisfying, and my family and I had a wonderful four-day stay. The staff, especially the front desk and the cleaning lady on the 9th floor, were professional and enthusiastic. Seeing that we had a child with us, they proactively asked if we needed a bed rail and provided extra hangers. There was a great detail: when I checked in, I hadn't noticed that the hotel had AEDs installed. I suggested it to the staff, and the very next day, I received a reply informing me that one had been placed at the front desk – truly attentive to details! Moreover, the breakfast buffet each morning offered a wide variety of high-quality dishes. Definitely five-star worthy!

The room is great. Facilities: Well-equipped, with a smart AI robot, very convenient. Environment: Right opposite Yan'an 3rd Road subway station, super close. 54 Square is right next to it, and taxis are also very convenient. Service: Excellent service. Two Americanos from the lobby bar: Good.

First off, the location is absolutely fantastic. It's right next to Metro Line 3, just a few stops directly from Qingdao Station, about a 20-minute ride. You can easily walk to the beach, May Fourth Square, and Hisense Plaza. We booked a deluxe twin room, and the front desk service was excellent. They took my request for a quiet room into account and suggested a great floor and room for us. To our surprise, it even had a partial sea view! We could lie in bed and watch the light show – perfect! The housekeeping was prompt and kept everything spotless. Everyone we met was always smiling and welcoming. Highly recommended!

The hotel is a bit old, but the longer I stayed, the more I liked it! Firstly, it's close to the subway station, and secondly, each floor has a laundry room, which is super important for changing clothes daily in the summer! Plus, they even provide a beach bag, perfect for going to the beach!
