Atour Hotel Qingdao May Fourth Square City Hall

The hotel environment is quiet and clean, and the facilities are well-maintained. The common areas are spacious and impressive, and the breakfast offers a good variety of delicious options. The staff are polite. Highly recommended!

The hotel front desk staff were great, very enthusiastic. They upgraded our room and gave us breakfast vouchers, which we really appreciated. The room was spacious and clean, perfect for our family of three. The hotel's location is excellent, right by May Fourth Square, and the metro station is also very close. There's also MixC nearby for shopping. We'll definitely stay here again next time!

The location is good, right by May Fourth Square. However, parking is difficult in the area, and taxis don't seem to like coming here, which makes getting around inconvenient. If you want to go to the beach for water activities, you'll still need to take a taxi. It would be better to stay closer to the beach if that's your main purpose. Overall, the hotel's environment doesn't justify the price. For just an extra 200, you could stay at a much better hotel nearby, or find a similar, cheaper option in the vicinity.

Before check-in, the front desk called to confirm my arrival time. When I got there, my room wasn't ready yet, so I left my luggage at the front desk and went out for a meal first. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to May Fourth Square and very close to the Olympic Sailing Center's 'Flame of Hope' sculpture. Being by the sea, it felt quite humid, stuffy, and hot. The room was spacious and reasonably clean. The staff were all very friendly, especially generous with bottled water. The hotel breakfast offered a decent variety, but perhaps due to regional differences, it wasn't quite like the Atour hotels I've experienced in the south. The congee was very watery, and while the shrimp were large, they weren't fresh. I believe quality over quantity is very important. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the bustling MixC shopping mall, and it can be quite sunny, so definitely bring an umbrella. Getting around by subway was relatively convenient since it's near the city hall, but you still need to walk a bit to reach the station. Also, the room prices during the summer holiday were extremely high.

The Atour Hotel at Qingdao's May Fourth Square boasts an excellent location, within walking distance of May Fourth Square and the Olympic Sailing Center, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The rooms are clean and dry, with soft and comfortable bedding, ensuring a great night's sleep. The front desk service is warm and efficient, making check-in a breeze. There are plenty of dining options and complete amenities in the surrounding area. Atour's consistently thoughtful design details helped alleviate my travel fatigue. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Qingdao, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip.

The hygiene wasn't great; there's definitely room for improvement! The service wasn't much better either. We rented two rooms, and the AC wasn't cooling. When we asked for someone to check it, my mom requested a room change, but even though we didn't explicitly ask, the staff only said they'd follow up after check-out? We ended up asking for fans ourselves. There's only one elevator, and to get to the third-floor front desk, you have to climb a few flights of stairs to another elevator, which isn't very convenient for older guests. Staying at Atour Zhanqiao Zhongshan Road was much, much better! I'd highly recommend the Atour Zhanqiao Zhongshan Road instead.

The location is unbeatable; it's super close to Metro Lines 2 and 3, making it convenient to get anywhere. The front desk ladies are all beautiful and incredibly kind, always willing to help. I'll definitely choose this place again when I come back to Qingdao.

The hotel's location is excellent; it's right across from the city hall and next to May Fourth Square, with Olympic Sailing Center within walking distance. Very convenient. The facilities are quite new. We chose a family room this time, and it was spacious and very comfortable. They even have fresh draft beer at the front desk – definitely Qingdao! 😂 The staff were all very polite, especially Su Shi (宿时), who was incredibly patient in helping me resolve an issue. It's also very near the subway station, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. The rooms are clean, tidy, and very spacious, perfect for families traveling with children. The hotel breakfast is consistently good, clean, and hygienic. Plus, there's free-flowing draft beer in the lobby! Five-star rating, I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Qingdao!
