Iara CheesecakeWe only had two days in Manila for the grand finale of our honeymoon before heading back to China. The vibe? Total luxury. We crashed at Discovery Primea, right in the heart of Makati. Our room was spacious, super comfy, and the 24/7 room service was basically a honeymoon dream come true 😂.
Just outside the hotel, you're spoiled for choice: a lush park for morning strolls, tons of restaurants, and a massive shopping mall (Glorietta Mall, Ayala Center, Makati—open daily from 10AM to 9PM). We hit up the supermarket inside for a Filipino snacks haul, so our suitcase was loaded with local goodies for the trip home.
Why we liked it:
- Perfect central location—steps from cafes, shops, and all the action
- Rooms are big and super comfy, with ultra-soft beds
- Everything is spotless! Clean and fresh vibes everywhere
- Loads of restaurants around Discovery Primea—just stroll and pick whatever looks tempting
- Stock up on Filipino snacks at Glorietta Mall for the perfect souvenir
📌 Tips
- Grab rides are easy and safe—plus, you can pay with Alipay
- Don’t stress over the service in some spots, just chase the good food!
- Discovery Primea is super convenient for both exploring Makati and chilling out
- Double check your bill for extra charges at hotels or restaurants, just in case

Oc$I had an exceptional stay at Ascott Makati. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Makati with direct access to Glorietta Mall, making shopping, dining, and exploring the city incredibly convenient.
The rooms are spacious, modern, and very well-maintained. I especially appreciated the fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living space, which made it feel like a home away from home. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive, ensuring everything stayed spotless throughout my stay.
The staff went above and beyond in every interaction. From the warm welcome at the front desk to the efficient service at breakfast, everyone was friendly, professional, and always ready to help.
The amenities are top-notch, with a relaxing pool, well-equipped gym, and great dining options. The buffet breakfast had a wide variety of choices, all fresh and delicious.
Overall, Ascott Makati delivers the perfect balance of comfort, luxury, and convenience. Whether for business or leisure, I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely choose it again on my next visit to Manila.

The location is excellent, and the rooftop bar with its amazing view is simply amazing. The room was very clean, as were the hotel’s common areas. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and polite. The breakfast was absolutely delicious.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and will definitely choose it again on our next trip to Makati. Thank you!

Guest UserThe location is quite good; it's convenient to simply stroll around the business center or get to places of interest. Manila experiences terrible traffic from the afternoon until late at night, so keep that in mind when planning your trips. The staff is very polite and helpful. The pool turned out to be a bit smaller in reality than it appeared in the photos, but overall, everything is solid and good. I've attached photos of the view from our room and at the pool. I recommend the massage offered at the hotel; they have good therapists.

Nacho@_25I stayed in Room 2769, and unfortunately this was one of the worst-maintained units I’ve experienced here. I’ve stayed at this property many times, and it’s always a 50/50 experience, some rooms are well maintained, while others, like this one, are extremely poorly kept.
Several items in the room were broken:
The couch is damaged, exactly as shown in the photos. The hairdryer is broken, it turns on for about five seconds, shuts off, and gets a burning smell, which is a clear safety concern.
• When I contacted customer service, I was told no portable dryer is available, which is surprising for a property of this scale.
It really makes me question whether these condo units are being properly inspected, maintained, or equipped before guests are allowed to stay. Basic functionality and safety checks should be standard, yet this room clearly hasn’t been looked after.

Laica DC+ nearby resto, cafe and stores. Staff are nice. They have a lot of parking spaces. Smooth check in and check out process.
- It’s pretty basic. We booked it for an event we’re going to. The pool is small and looks nicer in the photos. Wifi is not that reliable - my child is watching youtube and it kept on getting interrupted. I’m also working but had hard time connecting to some sites and tools. The faucet is faulty (physically falling out). They don’t have in house restaurant.

There's no fridge, and while the first set of towels seemed clean, the replacement towels were old and had a slight odor. The bathroom drain was clogged, and the all-in-one shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispenser was empty, so I had to request a refill. There was no bottled water, and no soap or toothbrushes, which I expected. I noticed the cleaning staff reusing partially used toilet paper rolls to replenish the rooms, rather than fresh ones. There was also some mold visible on the blinds. This was an unavoidable choice due to my personal schedule. The staff weren't friendly; they seemed annoyed, which I guess is typical for Manila. The room is tiny; it's okay for an unavoidable one-night stay, but anything more than two days would be tough.

Akhil GargI had a fantastic stay at Berjaya Makati. The location is unbeatable right in the heart of the business district, with Greenbelt and Glorietta malls just a short walk away for shopping and dining. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. What really stood out was the staff; they were friendly, professional, and went out of their way to accommodate my early check-in request. The pool area is a nice oasis after a long day of meetings. Highly recommended for both business and leisure travelers!”

AK AdunaThe size was just right with enough comfort to rest near the bustling malls. It was good enough for the price. It was well lit.
If your are looking for a place to rest and go out for an adventure or explore the city, this location is great.
