Ddennis cruzEnjoyed our holyweek staycation in a very quiet Makati. There is an ongoing mall construction across the street but it was a holiday so no issues. The staff are nice. We appreciate the complimentary snacks and drinks. Nice big pool might need an update soon, need more lights at night.

MM50766****The Peninsula Manila, a hotel with over 50 years of history, boasts an excellent location in the heart of Makati, just a 20-minute drive from the airport. It's surrounded by numerous shopping malls, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel lobby is grand and currently has a strong Christmas atmosphere. Both the rooms and bathrooms are spacious, though the facilities are a bit dated, they are still clean and tidy. The staff are all very warm and polite; they readily approved my request for a late check-out. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices and tastes great. The outdoor swimming pool has a beautiful environment. It truly lives up to its reputation as a classic five-star hotel, and my stay was excellent.

IiYooootFor a 5 star hotel, the service is very annoying. They would call me randomly to ask for feedback a few hours after I checked in. They would knock on my door early in the morning while I'm still sleeping to do a ”room check”... On the day of my check out, I had a knock on the door a bit past 9am, I ignored it as I was still in bed but they kept ringing the bell. I finally got up and the lady asked ”is there anything I can help with?”. Yes leave me alone. I went back to bed to rest and then got a phone call soon after as a reminder that check out is at 12pm. It's not even 10am yet and your staff already interrupted my sleep twice. Trying to get the room clean involves multiple phone calls. Once I left it to see how long it would take but at 6pm, I had to call since they never came during the day. Another time they cleaned, the cleaners said they ran out of towels so there would be someone who would deliver soon. I forgot about it until we went to have a shower and then it took almost an hour for the towels to arrive so we had to wait to use the bathroom as they took away the dirty towels so we didn't have anything to dry ourselves. Don't order room service. The food is very bad. I actually gagged on a drink they prepared. The TV is very old, they are still using cable technology. WiFi is patchy. Trying to get up and down the lift is a nightmare if you come at the wrong time as the line gets backed up all the way out into the street. My girlfriend was stopped by over eager security staff when she was trying to leave to buy some snacks as the room service meals were so bad even tho she had a room key and they would not let her up to the lobby on the 6th floor without me. Instead, I had to go down and pick her up from the ground floor where she was sitting in the corner like she was in trouble.

GGuest UserIt’s a comfortable hotel and a nice location. Sometimes the elevators were not working, which caused some delay. The shower curtain is a nuisance and not having a shower wand. Makes it quite difficult to reach certain locations to rinse well. the water pressure and the warmth of the shower is great. The service of the people working there is excellent. My largest complaint the Internet did not operate at optimal levels. I was fortunate that I had Wi-Fi connection through my phone or otherwise I would not be able to conduct the business necessary. Definitely need to upgrade the Internet.

There is a small pool and gym.

GGuest UserWe found the hotel in a peaceful neighborhood. We have to pay Php2k for a security deposit in cash and reimburse right after checking out. Our main concern in our room was the cooling of the air-conditioning; we had it somehow ”fixed,” but it didn't reach our expectation for the coolest temp. All praise to the chef (in the egg station) for his friendly approach and assistance with the station foods.

AAnonymous UserOverrated hotel. We entered into I'm Hotel and taken to Oakwood. We were met with rules and regulations and told about the fines. Balcony door didn't seal well and had a bicycle lock on it.
Do not stay here if you can not leave your leg high to get into the tub that has a telephone shower. It's definitely not a place I will take my elderly parents.
Breakfast is limited and is with the guest from the other hotel. Your juice options are only one.
All in all, it's a clean place with ridiculous traffic at entrance. High-end accommodation with a water dispenser in the hallway, so don't expect drinking water in the room. Advice bring a water bottle to collect the water.
