FFairyflossA lovely guesthouse with a spacious, clean room and free parking available upon request. The shared area is lively and includes a small kitchen for light meals which is a nice touch. The receptionists were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay.
If on-site parking is unavailable, there’s a 24-hour parking option just a 5-minute walk away at a reasonable rate. There are also plenty of eateries nearby with affordable prices. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again if we return to the city.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is a bit out of the way. The ocean view from the room was okay, I guess. You're required to take off your shoes when entering the hotel, but they don't even provide disposable slippers, so the service is pretty mediocre. The front desk staff also had a very unenthusiastic attitude during check-in. The hotel tries to project an image of being very clean and upscale, but honestly, the cleanliness of the guest rooms was just average; the toilet wasn't even wiped clean and had stains.

愛愛出門走走的喵This hotel has it all, even a water filter for drinking water, not to mention a whole box of laundry detergent for washing clothes, and a drying rack on the balcony. On the first floor, there's a lobby with a variety of free drinks. The breakfast on the top floor is also incredibly rich, costing about 250 NTD per person. The curry rice, miso soup, tamagoyaki, and side dishes are abundant. We even ordered a grilled meat set meal for dinner, which was luxurious and affordable. I honestly suspect the owner doesn't care about costs, just wants guests to enjoy themselves.
There are also parking spaces at the entrance.
The rooftop restaurant offers over a 250-degree view of the beach, ocean, and nightscape, which is absolutely beautiful. Nearby, you can take a walk along the beach and enjoy Beppu Onsen. The Beppu Observation Deck at night is also stunning, and it's more than just a traditional observation deck:

GGuest UserThis stay was absolutely fantastic! The room was spacious and clean, and the private hot spring tub filled up quickly. Soaking in the hot spring while enjoying a drink melted away all the day's fatigue. It really captured the essence of a Japanese onsen ryokan. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming; we were greeted with hot tea and snacks as soon as we arrived, making us feel right at home. The only minor drawback was that the dinner selection was a bit limited, but overall, it was a superb experience. It's perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway, and I'll definitely bring my family back next time!

GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay at KOKO Hotel Premier Hakata. The location is very convenient, with easy access to Hakata Station and many nearby attractions. There is also a convenience store right next door, which was extremely handy during our stay.
The staff were friendly, helpful, and responded promptly whenever assistance was needed. The hotel and guest rooms were tidy and well maintained.
One thing to note is that daily room cleaning is not provided, so while the room was generally clean and comfortable, I would not rate it at the highest level of cleanliness compared with hotels that provide daily housekeeping service.
Amenities such as toothbrushes, tea, and other supplies are available at the lobby for guests to collect as needed, which is a practical and environmentally friendly approach.
Overall, a comfortable and well-located hotel with good service, and I would consider staying here again when visiting Fukuoka.

GGuest UserGorgeous hotel on the bay in Beppu with stunning views of the sea and mountains. Hotel is modern and beautiful, influenced by traditional craftsmanship and architecture. Meals are delicious and draw on local delicacies. Service is so-so. Staff seem overwhelmed and distant. Lots of activities planned for guests, but noise doesn’t travel. Hot springs are relaxing, although there are only two baths inside and one, small one outside. Shop is not great. Would recommend the hotel consider selling some of the dish ware or toiletries in the bathroom or other crafts and or local products from Oita, etc.

BBajindarenBeppu was a great landing spot! It's also really close to Oita. I managed to get the manhole cover cards, but unfortunately, I couldn't go to Yufuin no Mori because the transportation to Yufuin is under renovation. Guess I'll have to come back next time and see if there are any good collectibles to splurge on!

MMoon RockThe staff is friendly and speaks English well; the place is quiet and cozy, and the location is perfect. It’s almost a distance to Beppu tourist attractions, especially the Beppu tower and Beppu JR stations. The hostel is also located near the port area, where you can relax and take a break.
The hostel also has a cafe, a spacious kitchen, and an artificial hot spring. Although some amenities are not included, you have to purchase them at the front desk, the accommodation cost is relatively cheap, so that’s okay. It's a good thing I have my own towels and other amenities.
I will definitely be back here when I return.

The private onsen (hot spring bath) in the room is also fantastic! This is the best onsen ryokan (hot spring hotel) I stayed at during my Kyushu trip! 😆🩷

AAnonymous UserI stayed here for 2 out of 3 nights. I booked it because of its good location, affordable price, and the fact that I could smoke. The exterior is surprisingly old, which caught me off guard at first, haha.
I booked a Japanese-style room, and once inside, it had a wonderfully calming and indescribably lovely atmosphere. After a tiring day exploring Yufuin and Beppu, returning at night felt like coming home; the fluffy futons, table, and Zaisu (floor chairs) were incredibly comforting. The front desk staff were all very kind gentlemen. Even though it was close to 11 PM, when I asked to borrow a hairdryer, they offered to bring it to my room instead of making me go get it, showing excellent service. I always choose Japanese-style rooms when available (as I dislike beds), and this has become one of my favorite hotels.
Although old, it was meticulously clean. The cleaning staff I met in the morning were as polite as the front desk, making for a pleasant check-out. If I ever go to Beppu again, I'd definitely want to stay here! The station is right in front, so I could reach the bus, tourist information center, and coin lockers in just a minute first thing in the morning, which made my Saturday trip, even with the crowds, very comfortable.
As it was my first time in Kyushu, it made for a great memory. Thank you!
