Guest UserThe hotel's location was a bit tucked away; I couldn't find it at first until a taxi driver downstairs pointed it out to me. This stay was incredibly comfortable! The hotel is very close to the main attractions, the room was large, clean, and hygienic, and the guesthouse manager was super friendly and enthusiastic. They genuinely offered some travel advice and recommended many delicious local eats, though I didn't get to try them due to time constraints. 😂
The only minor drawback is that the bathroom entrance is through the kitchen. If there's an opportunity for a renovation in the future, I hope the entrance could be moved to the bedroom side (next to the kitchen door). This would avoid having to go through the kitchen every time to use the restroom (since the bathroom is used far more frequently than the kitchen, even if it's only a few steps, it's still a bit inconvenient).
Also, I suggest adding a mirror in the entryway. Otherwise, the only place to check yourself is in the bathroom, which is a bit inconvenient. Interestingly, the lighting by the door is the best, making it suitable for a quick check before heading out, haha.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience! I'd definitely consider staying here again when I visit Chongqing.

Shiguangyouzou007I found a hidden gem of a hotel in Jiefangbei, and it exceeded all my expectations! 📍 The Ark Hotel (Jiefangbei Hongyadong Branch) has an unbeatable location, right outside Jiefangbei. My room directly overlooked the Jialing River, and opening the window revealed the dazzling nightscape of Mountain City. The twin towers in the distance glowed with a soft golden outline, creating an incredible atmosphere.
The room boasted a sophisticated minimalist style, with furniture in rich wood tones complemented by luxurious Brazilian stone accents. The Serta mattress was incredibly soft – once I lay down, I didn't want to get up. My favorite part was the large bathtub; soaking in warm, bubbly water while gazing at the city lights outside instantly melted away all my travel fatigue.
The hotel's public areas are also incredibly stylish. The dark-themed lobby with its crystal chandeliers and vintage sculptures makes for a perfect high-end photo op. And the beef brisket noodles for breakfast were so fragrant, especially with a freshly fried soft-boiled egg – a perfect way to power up for a day of exploring Mountain City. Being within walking distance of Jiefangbei and Hongyadong made getting around super convenient!

Guest UserChoosing the right hotel really makes traveling so much easier! The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had no strange odors. The bedding was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and even turned on the air conditioning before we arrived. The hotel is close to the scenic spots, making it very convenient for getting around. The environment is quiet and safe, with excellent facilities and plenty of toiletries. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and it's definitely worth coming back to.

Guest UserGreat location, dinner was good, but let down by malfunctioning hot water in the shower in 2 or the 3 rooms we booked. We had only ice cold water from the shower. Thankfully it was rectified. In one of our rooms (2005) the shower stall glass sliding door had come off the rails, and could East have fallen on guests, causing serious injury from the weight of the door and broken glass.
The check-in staff was very helpful, but the staff at breakfast on 6 Jan was quite unhelpful, and in fact started to argue about the prior breakfast arrangement our tour guide made with the hotel the previous day. Rather than saying she didn’t know and would check, she unilaterally decided the options were wanted (and had prepared the hotel for through our guide’s arrangements the previous day) were not available.

I really need to vent about the service here.
First, the good points: The location, ambiance, design, decor, and breakfast were all excellent. It's a beautiful, centuries-old building, entered through a side door next to a church – truly a hidden gem in the city. Everything started off wonderfully.
Then, I was shocked by the service process. We had booked an activity and dinner a day in advance, but the staff member who was supposed to guide us the next day had no idea about it.
It was my birthday, and I had informed the hotel beforehand. I appreciate them offering a complimentary birthday cake. However, I watched the employee walk for several minutes in the rain without an umbrella, carrying the cake. This meant the cake was exposed to the rain for that entire time. When it arrived in the room, it looked exactly like the picture – soggy and ruined. What should have been a nice bonus turned into a rather disappointing birthday memory.
It feels like the staff training is only halfway done. They have all the right facilities, which makes the poor service even more regrettable.

Guest UserThis was my first time booking a hotel in Chongqing on my own. I wanted to be near Hongyadong with river views and easy access, so I found Beichen Riverview Hotel. The price was reasonable, and I didn't have high expectations, but the room completely exceeded them! I missed the closest parking lot, so I called the front desk. The lady there told me the Cangbai Road parking lot was cheaper and even came to meet me there personally. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was high quality, and I got upgraded to a riverview king room – facing the big river felt amazing. The service attitude was excellent. It was a wonderful stay. I'll definitely recommend it to friends.

Had a fantastic stay! Chongqing has so many delicious local snacks, and there are tons of affordable snack shops right downstairs from the hotel. The front desk staff were super helpful and had an answer for every question, and their service was excellent. The room was also very clean. The restaurant on the 29th floor is great, and you can enjoy the night view of Jiefangbei from there. My only minor complaint is that the gym is a bit small, but overall, it's highly recommended.

LinannanaSeriously, you guys! I finally found my dream hotel in Chongqing! It's a high-rise cave hotel right by Jiefangbei and Hongyadong.
This real-life cave sanctuary is just too romantic! ✨
The location is absolutely unbeatable!!
📍 It's in the heart of Yuzhong District, and Jiefangbei is right downstairs.
You can walk to Hongyadong, Luohan Temple, and the Yangtze River Cableway.
The metro station is also downstairs, so you don't have to go out of your way at all.
If you get tired from sightseeing, you can just head back to the hotel and relax – a godsend for lazy travelers!!
The best part is the room's view!!
From the 24th-floor, floor-to-ceiling window, you can see the two rivers converging and the sprawling buildings of the misty mountain city during the day.
At night, you can lie in bed or soak in the bathtub and directly watch the myriad lights of Hongyadong. Chongqing's 24-hour romance is all captured through one window. 🌆
I absolutely adore the huge scenic bathtub 🛀.
Taking a hot bath at night with the glittering river view and neon lights outside – it's an immersive cyberpunk nightscape experience.
Every photo you take looks like it's from a movie!
The bedding is also super comfortable! The soft latex mattress
feels like sinking into a cloud, incredibly stress-relieving 😌.
The room is clean and tidy, with all the amenities.
The service is attentive, and the value for money is just excellent!
Seriously, if you're coming to Chongqing, you don't need to look for accommodation anywhere else.
The location, aesthetics, view, and comfort are all top-notch.
Staying here will double the happiness of your Chongqing trip!!

Top-notch view! ✨ Just checked out and I have to rave about this amazing guesthouse! The location is incredible, only a five-minute walk to the beach. Evening strolls watching the sunset were so therapeutic. The room was clean and cozy, and the smart home features were super convenient to use. The floor-to-ceiling windows framed the entire sea view perfectly, and waking up to the sun in the morning was pure bliss~ The owner even thoughtfully prepared local snacks and a travel guide. The value for money is absolutely fantastic, I'll definitely stay here again next time! 👍

This Le Meridien stay completely exceeded my expectations. It's a five-star experience that offers incredible value for money. The hotel's location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, surrounded by shopping areas and chain restaurants, so getting around and finding food is a breeze. Suki at the front desk was very efficient and even proactively recommended great places to eat and visit – there's so much good food in Chongqing, I'm a big fan of 'feichangji' (a local chicken and intestine dish)!
The room was spotless and odor-free, with fluffy, soft bedding that let me fall asleep quickly. The soundproofing was excellent, so I wasn't disturbed by any hallway noise. The bathroom had a well-designed wet/dry separation, 24-hour hot water with stable pressure, and the complimentary toiletries were very pleasant to use. Overall, it was an experience beyond five stars. I'll definitely prioritize staying here next time I visit the city.
