Surroundings: Getting a taxi downstairs is super convenient, and there are plenty of great food options nearby at night. The hotel is a standalone building, which means less foot traffic and a more private atmosphere. Internal Environment: Every corner is spotless and well-maintained, with a pleasant, subtle fragrance throughout. Hygiene: Everything, both inside and out, is impeccably clean. Even the bathroom had no water stains, which is fantastic for someone with a high standard for cleanliness. Service: The front desk was incredibly busy during check-in, but the staff member was exceptionally attentive and patiently helped me upgrade my room. Their attitude was excellent. Later, I requested to have my dried laundry delivered to my room late at night, and I realized there was only one female staff member at the front desk at that hour. It must be tough for her, especially since it can get even busier late at night, and one person might struggle to keep up. Perhaps the hotel could consider assigning more staff during late-night shifts to prevent overworking their employees. Facilities: All the necessary amenities are available, and the laundry room is well-equipped and tidy. I especially want to commend the TV in the room – the signal was excellent, and screen casting worked flawlessly. Minibar: It included Coke, soda water, and mineral water. Also, I absolutely love the Orange Crystal biscuits! Could you perhaps put more in the minibar next time, haha?

Absolutely five-star! I booked this hotel after seeing a recommendation from a Chongqing hotel experience blogger on Xiaohongshu, who said it was great. And it really lives up to the hype: 1. The hotel is new, clean, tidy, and soundproofed well. 2. The service is excellent. Housekeeping is very prompt, and the robot delivery for takeout is super convenient. There's extra water available in the elevator lobby daily, and free ice cream at the front desk. Overall, a fantastic experience. 3. The environment is lovely. It's away from the hustle and bustle of tourist attractions, so it's quiet and relaxing. Strolling around at night enjoying the views is very pleasant. 4. The location is perfect. It's close to IFS Guojin and another large riverside mall. Plus, taking a taxi to any attraction is cheap, usually around ten-something yuan. 5. Being on a high floor, the panoramic view from the room is amazing. 6. And the best part is the breakfast!!! I won't even mention the stunning view from the top floor. My absolute favorites are their Chongqing noodles and wontons – they seriously beat anything I've had at outside restaurants. I had two bowls of each every single day, feeling like a true VIP. It's rare for me to write so much, but seriously, everyone visiting Chongqing should consider this place!

We had a wonderful stay at UrCove by Hyatt Chongqing and would definitely stay here again on our next visit. The hotel is modern, clean, and offers excellent value for money. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained, with a beautiful city view at night. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless with great water pressure. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming., hey were patient, helpful, and always made an effort to assist us. The location is also very convenient. It's just a short ride to Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, and other popular attractions, with plenty of local food options and convenience stores nearby. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

The hotel is wonderful! It's super well-located, with a main entrance that, if you walk right for about 200m, leads you directly to Hongyacave, one of the city's main tourist attractions. The hotel's lobby is on the 21st floor, which is really cool. They have free food all day (popcorn) and desserts in the evening. The staff are very helpful and kind. The hotel also has an exit on the 22nd floor, which takes you directly to the famous Kuixing Square. From there, you can walk to Jiefangbei shopping street and Bayi food street. Everything is close by. It's perfect! I recommend it and would stay at this hotel again! The room is super comfortable, with a view of the river and the bridge facing Hongyacave. If you want a practical hotel that's close to everything, you should choose this one!

My biggest regret during this trip to Chongqing was choosing the InterContinental. Before checking in, I'd already seen many online reviews stating that the InterContinental's service couldn't compare to another hotel, but I really dislike Chinese-style decor, so I opted for the InterContinental. I booked an Executive River View room. After making the reservation, I proactively added the hotel's WeChat contact provided by Ctrip. I informed them that it was my husband's birthday on the check-in day and hoped they could help with some decorations. I also mentioned I would order a bouquet of flowers and asked if they could sign for it and place it in the room. The hotel staff informed me they would decorate and arrange for a small cake. They even thoughtfully asked for our arrival time, which I confirmed with my expected arrival time, expressing my anticipation and gratitude. Typically, in other star-rated hotels, a room upgrade is standard practice if rooms are available and the guest's ID matches the check-in date. However, this didn't happen. I can understand this, as upgrades are extra perks from the hotel, not an entitlement. But when I entered the room and saw that the supposed cake was missing, replaced only by a fruit plate with four oranges, I was truly astonished. For a moment, I wondered if I had booked an All Seasons hotel for 270 RMB a night, instead of the InterContinental for 2700 RMB a night... I immediately contacted the hotel via WeChat. Their reply was that these were seasonal fruits, and since I had executive lounge privileges, I could go to the lounge for afternoon tea where there would be plenty of fruits... So, was I implying I'd never eaten fruit before... and was I trying to take advantage of the hotel? And that day, I checked Ctrip, and the same Executive River View King Room was only 2500+ RMB 🙃. Of course, after I expressed my complaint, they immediately offered to prepare and send a new fruit plate. They also explained that the cake hadn't been delivered because they didn't know our arrival time and were worried it might spoil, so they would deliver it together later. I finally received the 'normal' fruit plate that I had seen other guests receive on other social media platforms, as shown in picture 2... It turns out it wasn't that they couldn't do it, but that they weren't willing to. After speaking with other guests who had stayed at this hotel, I learned that the InterContinental's tradition is to offer perks based on membership tier. I understand that guests who spend more can indeed receive some privileges, but is it too arrogant and transactional to differentiate based on a welcome fruit plate? They could surely offer high-spending guests a better experience through room upgrades or other means, so why choose to 'cost down' on the very first thing a guest encounters upon entering the room? Honestly, the cake was good; sweet but not cloying. The Eggs Benedict at the executive lounge were highly praised, and other food items were also commendable. And the WeChat contact person, after the initial unpleasantness, was responsive and provided thoughtful service in all other aspects. However, this one incident completely shattered all my expectations for the InterContinental and made my first day in Chongqing an unhappy one. I was so annoyed that I wanted to write a complaint email on the first day, but all the service staff I encountered – from the front desk to the lounge and even housekeeping – were friendly and greeted me warmly whenever I saw them. I found this quite contradictory and hard to understand. Perhaps it's just the hotel's long-standing tradition. All I can do is honestly share my experience on Ctrip, But I cannot say that I was happy with this stay or that I would be willing to return next time.

STAFF APPRECIATION: I would like to thank Xiao Yang, Xiao Yi, and Master Li for their care during my stay. They were kind, professional, warm, patient, and proactive. They were also incredibly accommodating with my inability to speak more than a little Chinese. Xiao Yang even made a point to speak English with me during breakfast and checkout. Master Li was very tolerant with my last-minute requests for pickup and drop off and Xiao Yi quickly located and added me on WeChat to allow us to chat more comfortably. As it was raining, she even met me by the car with an umbrella when I arrived. I felt quite pampered! DIRECTIONS: To reach the hotel requires a few transfers. It's not too troublesome and is well worth it! 1) I arrived at the Wulong South Railway 🚉 and followed the exit signs outside. 2) To the left was the large blue bus 🚌 mentioned by another reviewer. It will take you to the Fairy Mountain Visitor Center for 16 yuan. From here you can reach the most popular tourist destinations in Wulong to include the Three Bridges. 3) Outside the center you’ll find another blue fairy bus which will take you to the mountain itself for an additional 8 yuan. This bus will stop at the gate where tickets will be checked. Be sure to contact the hotel and give them your information before you set off because the cost of this ticket is included with your stay! They will reserve the ticket for you and send you confirmation and any relevant information. Otherwise, it is 50 yuan per person. 4) This bus will drop you off at a plaza with a few shops and the boarding platform for the scenic train. 🚂 Contact the hotel and someone will come to pick you up, as private vehicles are not permitted beyond this point. REVIEW: If availability and your budget permit, I cannot emphasize strongly enough how much it is worth it to splurge on the room with a 270-degree view of the property. I went on a foggy, wet weekend and still found the view incredible. The windows cover three walls. I can only imagine how amazing the sky must look on a clear night. The minibar has a good selection of free snacks and drinks and a sampling of the local tea. Meals are also served at the hotel. The cost is not low, but for the exclusivity of the location, I considered it more than fair compared to what I’ve paid elsewhere. Also, the dishes looked and tasted great. There are also vendors down the hill where the train and shops (show in the picture below) are located. Look for the sign identifying the train exit and go down the steps. These were the only places I saw to purchase food, drinks, or supplies once you pass the entrance to the mountain, so plan accordingly. By the way, tickets for the scenic train were included with the reservation as well. I highly recommend it. It stops at the grasslands and the horse stables. Now, I will allow the pictures to speak for me. TLDR: Multiple transfers lead to a place that is secluded and picturesque and right in the heart of the mountain. That means your dining choices will also be limited, but the meals provided (at a cost) were delicious. Tickets to the mountain and scenic train are included in the price. A photo session is included as well, but I did not utilize it. I recommend setting out earlier to miss the worst of the crowds. The staff is amazing and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The room with the 270-degree view offers the best experience. 10/10 recommend for those seeking quiet and the peace only nature can bring. 🏞

The highlight of my stay, however, was the opportunity to enjoy the stunning sunsets from various vantage points around the resort, cigar in hand and fresh fruit nearby. These moments of peaceful contemplation, immersed in the beauty of the mountains, will be etched in my memory forever. Beyond the breathtaking views, the resort also offered engaging activities that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local culture. I had the privilege of learning the art of potting plants and marveling at the impressive bonsai tree collection, a true treat for a plant enthusiast like myself. The calligraphy session at the on-site tea house was also a wonderful experience, providing a moment of tranquil meditation amidst the adventure. While I would recommend Longmen Pu Village to any traveler seeking a unique and authentic escape, I would advise international guests to have a basic understanding of the Chinese language or be prepared to utilize translation apps. This slight challenge, however, is well worth the reward of experiencing this remarkable resort. In conclusion, Longmen Pu Village is a true gem, a resort that has masterfully preserved the local charm and flavor of Chongqing's stunning mountain region. The hotel is located on Bayi Road, right next to a lively pedestrian street, making it convenient for dining, entertainment, and shopping. Our room was upgraded to a family room on a high floor, which was perfect! 😍 The front desk attendant even helped us with our luggage because our SUV needed to be parked in a different underground garage. The service was top-notch, and breakfast on the 29th floor offered amazing views. 👍 We extended our stay for another night. This hotel offers excellent value for money, especially given its fantastic location. Highly recommended!

The transportation is convenient, room facilities are in good condition, and the internet is fast, making it very suitable for working. The room was clean and quiet, and the daily housekeeping was meticulous. Kevin handled the check-in efficiently, saving me time and effort. The price is reasonable, and the overall performance is excellent, making it perfect for business travel. I'll definitely choose this hotel again in the future.

The coffee shop had a unique style, making it a great place to stay while visiting Chongqing. The coffee bar had everything one could ask for, making for a very relaxing and pleasant experience.
