"The hotel reception is on the 21st floor, and for rooms above the 30th floor, you have to switch elevators. I stayed on the 34th floor. After checking in and getting my key on the 21st floor, I took the elevator to the 30th floor, then transferred to another elevator to go up to the 34th floor. Going to the laundry room was even more complicated. The laundry room is on the 28th floor. First, I had to go from the 34th floor down to the 30th floor, then switch elevators to go to the 21st floor, and then from the 21st floor, switch elevators again to go up to the 28th floor. I was so confused, how many transfers do you need to make?! 😂😂😂 The room itself was nice and quite spacious. It would have been better if the downstairs toilet had a shower. For those sleeping downstairs, it was a hassle to have to climb upstairs just to shower, and then come back down. It was quite inconvenient. Everything else was good."

"The breakfast was delicious, and the mattress and pillows deserve a five-star rating. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Jiefangbei. The Chen Pangzi Hotpot restaurant and the Jiangma Chaoshou (spicy wonton) place directly opposite the hotel are absolutely amazing, highly recommended!"

"This hotel is located in Xinhua International, on the 51st and 52nd floors, offering great views and an excellent location. You can reach Jiefangbei just around the corner from the hotel. Following the direction indicated by the characters on Jiefangbei, you can walk to Qiansimen Bridge to capture stunning night views of Hongyadong. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The staff were not only gentle but also quick to resolve any issues. The hotel provides free freshly ground coffee, and it was so pleasant to return to the hotel during the hottest part of the day to escape the heat and enjoy a cup of iced coffee. For someone like me who wants a coffee every day, it felt both thoughtful and convenient. Overall, my stay was very enjoyable."

"Overall, a beautiful hotel, on a great position. Modern, bright and innovative room design, a bit small, but charming reception area. Chaotianmen view corner room is a blast! One of the most amazing views one can imagine, especially at night. Free ice cream for the in house guests by the reception :-) Beautiful breakfast/all day dining room, with equaly superb views. Breakfast is fresh, with plenty of choice (slightly less adjusted to the Western taste, but still fine). The staff is curteous and hard working, but still lacks a bit of training/skills - no proactive communication during breakfast, i.e. offering coffee or anything really, just picking up plates (it is a new hotel, so one should not be too harsh...they will get there on time). Very affordable minibar (free on the day of arrival) and room service (the food is ok, but lacks in presentation and served basic style....just a couple of plates thrown on the table...no trolley, no tablecloth, napkins...) The pool looks nice, but it is not operated by the hotel...some kids learning how to swim while we were there so not sure whether they have it open for the outside guests (kids swimming school?). Something that should be monitored by the hotel in the future - for the guest, the pool is considered a part of the hotel experience, so a high service and cleanliness level is expected as a norm. Minor negatives, still something to consider in the future: two days before checkout I've been texted by a member of staff to deposit another 1k RMB (after depositing 10k already) since my total expense has exceeded the initial deposit. Never happened to me before and never should have happened in the first place. One might even feel offended by such request (like I would run away without paying the rest of my bill or something...I guess, spending more should be a plus, no?). Also, at the end, I was asked to write a 5 star review and received a fully prepared review text by Wechat, which I was supposed to simply copy/paste. Well, initially we laughed about it, but one might find it a bit condesending, no? Anyways, these small glitches are not of utmost importance. I have already decided to give them 5 star, since it is a brand new place, with huge potential and enough room for improvement to perfection. We really had a great time in Chongqing and our hotel experience was in general a pleasant one. I would certainly stay there again. The negative remarks shoul simply be taken as a guideline for improvement, not something I would seriously hold against this charming establishment."

"The room facilities are complete and the hygiene is quite good. It's an old-school five-star hotel. The Elemental Herbology toiletries are excellent, and the pool and hot spring experience were also good, though the women's hot spring facilities were out of order. One thing to complain about: the room was full of items for sale, with vending machines everywhere. It felt really cheap having a bunch of tagged products all over the room. Breakfast was great, with a rich selection. However, the slippers provided in the room are very slippery if there's water on the bathroom floor, making it easy to fall. I honestly would prefer plastic slippers, at least they're safe. I hope this can be improved. Also, we booked two rooms and were told one was upgraded. One room on the 23rd floor was upgraded to a scenic room on the 24th floor, while the other remained on the 23rd floor... There was no difference between the two rooms. This is the first time I've seen such an upgrade method, it's quite frustrating."

The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Yuzhong District, right next to Lianglukou Metro Station, making it incredibly convenient to get to popular spots like Jiefangbei and Hongyadong. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was comfortable, perfect for unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, and the local Chongqing noodles were authentic and delicious, creating a wonderful dining atmosphere. The hotel's facilities were excellent, with a heated swimming pool and a gym that were both fully operational, providing great opportunities for relaxation and exercise. The front desk and concierge staff were professional and attentive, making the check-in process efficient and smooth. Although it's an established five-star hotel, it's well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city. The overall value for money is high, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Chongqing. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit."
