Service: The butler contacted us a day before to confirm our arrival time. Since we were arriving late in the evening, they thoughtfully arranged for afternoon tea to be delivered to our room. We had two rooms booked for two nights, and they upgraded us to the Muyun King Room. Due to a sudden change in plans and a family emergency, we had to cancel one night, and the hotel staff handled the cancellation very smoothly.
Cleanliness: Very clean. Face towels and toilet seat covers were provided.
Environment: The hotel faces the Meili Snow Mountain directly. We enjoyed two days of the 'golden sun illuminating the mountain' and also saw a beautiful starry sky. Both our room and the terrace offered views of the snow-capped mountains.
Facilities: The humidifier, in-room heating, oxygen supply, and electric heater all worked great.

Guest UserThis is a typical Tibetan-style guesthouse, built by the river. The hygiene and facilities are quite good. The owner warmly invited us to have dinner with them; the owner's wife's homemade chili sauce was delicious. However, to be fair, the small road leading from the main road to the guesthouse passes through a sand quarry and has a significant elevation difference, which is inconvenient. It's recommended that you contact the owner before you arrive to see if you can park on the main road and then take the small road down.

Our night in Benzilan was made absolutely perfect thanks to the Xilin Yuan Nada Mountain Inn.
We arrived in the evening, driving up the mountain road, and the further we went, the more tranquil it became. The inn's courtyard is beautifully maintained, and the room windows offer stunning views of the continuous mountain range, making you feel as though the entire world has quieted down.
The owner is incredibly kind. Not only did he recommend some local delicacies, but he also offered to wash our clothes for us. This kind of thoughtful service truly makes you feel so welcome and warm.
This is an inn that makes you want to return. Next time I'm in Benzilan, I'll definitely stay here again!

Guest UserTraveling with my parents and kids, we stayed at Snow Mountain Awaken and found the facilities complete and the hygiene spotless. But the absolute best part was the unbeatable view of the snowy mountains – right outside our door! We were also very impressed with the buffet, the sweet soup and fruit in the evenings, and the snacks, not to mention the hotel's restaurant. The butler service was attentive throughout our stay, making our choice to stay at Snow Mountain Awaken feel incredibly smart. The hotel is very close to Feilai Temple Viewing Platform, so we often took strolls there. We also enjoyed sitting at the Snow Book Store in front of the hotel, reading, daydreaming, and gazing at the mountains – that's what travel is all about! A special shout-out to Potato, Jingang, and Niuniu – these three dogs are just adorable!

Guest UserThe hotel room offered fantastic views and was decorated in a warm and comfortable style, with all the necessary amenities. The butler service was exceptionally warm and thoughtful; they contacted me in advance before arrival to check in and set up a WeChat group for communication. They proactively informed me about hotel activities and asked if I wanted to book any. During meals, they promptly helped adjust the sunshade, introduced the dishes, and cleared plates. Every staff member I encountered greeted me with a smile. They even timely reminded me when I left an item behind in the room upon departure.
Special mention goes to the hotel's breakfast, afternoon tea, and goodnight dessert. The menu changed daily and was well-balanced. Breakfast was a combination of à la carte and buffet, featuring local specialties like congee and cold dishes, as well as main courses like beef tongue and abalone, along with Western buffet options and vegetables. The afternoon tea had beautiful views, offering a mix of sweet and savory treats with exquisite, high-quality pastries. The goodnight dessert was kept warm in a thermos, available to enjoy at any time.
The overall ambiance of the hotel was tranquil and warm, with a sophisticated dark tone that wasn't gloomy. The public areas boasted beautiful scenery, and the hotel activities were professionally organized.

The room was fantastic, with a balcony directly overlooking the snow-capped mountains. They thoughtfully provided two foot bath tubs. We were quite tired upon arrival at the village, and soaking our feet completely refreshed us, making us ready to head straight to the glacial lake the very next day – what a thoughtful touch! The chicken soup noodles were delicious, and the packed lunch they provided for our journey was great too. The resident cat was adorable!

This hidden gem of a guesthouse, facing the majestic Meili Snow Mountain, is a true treasure. You can drive right up to the entrance, and there's even a charging station for electric cars. It's a scenic 3-hour drive from Shangri-La, along winding mountain roads. If you arrive before 7 AM, you'll be treated to the breathtaking 'Golden Mountain' sunrise. After sunset, the 'blue hour' creates a gentle and therapeutic atmosphere, making you feel as if you've been transported to a charming European town. The hostess was incredibly warm and attentive, even helping us carry our heavy camera equipment. The room also came equipped with oxygen, which completely eliminated any worries about altitude sickness. Our entire stay was comfortable and unforgettable.

They say you might not see the ”Golden Mountain in the Sun” in October, so I booked this place to avoid wasting money on a view that might not deliver. Turns out, we actually saw it! Super worth it!! The location is right next to where the bus drops you off, so it's a very easy walk, and close to the Feilai Temple viewing platform. The room was unbelievably spacious, and the underfloor heating worked perfectly. There are only four or five rooms, and the view is absolutely stunning. The owner is very simple and enthusiastic. I highly recommend this for anyone hoping to catch the Golden Mountain but worried about a wasted 4-hour drive if they miss it. The accommodation quality is easily more than triple that of other scenic hotels at the same price point, and the courtyard itself can help ease any disappointment if you don't see the sunrise.
Let's talk about the downsides:
1. Feilai Temple is currently under construction, so there are large vehicles at night. I personally wasn't bothered by the noise, but I can't guarantee others wouldn't be. This seems to be a common issue for hotels along this road.
2. The room was very clean and tidy, but I wasn't a fan of the air freshener scent. My partner didn't notice it, though.
3. There were some really large flies. I hope the owner can improve pest control. Although they'll probably freeze to death in a few days, seeing them definitely puts a damper on the mood.

Guest UserMy room was as described. Functional and nice and warm (with heating on) with an excellent hot shower and nice wooden wall beams.
The people who run the place are lovely and also offer nice breakfast options in the morning.
The only small note I have is that (despite best efforts and a very modern ventilation system in the bathroom) the bathroom is already moldy. I understand that it's a challenge to get under control given the climate.
I would stay again next time, and actually spend more than just one night here. There is so much you can explore here!

I stayed here for 2 nights and had an amazing experience. The room provides a great view of the mountains with floor to ceiling windows and everything in the room, including the bed, chairs, clothes rack and bathroom, are well-maintained and clean. The room provides a sense of luxury and cleanliness during your getaway to this village. The location is excellent, as you are one of the first, if not the first accommodation facing the mountains, so the view is excellent. It is in a great location for exploring upper yubeng and the glacier lake.
What made our stay unforgettable was the amazing service we received by the owner and staff whilst we stayed here. The lady provided us with everything we needed to know during our stay in yubeng, including sunrise times, and answered any and every question we had about yubeng as a whole. They provided an atmosphere that was very welcoming and it really does feel like I was invited to stay at their home. They provided free water and free laundry service, as well as free use of hiking poles for our hikes. The breakfast included was excellent and was different for each day we stayed, and they provide you with a free lunch pack to take on your hike, which was a nice gesture which we appreciated. Additionally, everyone here speaks both mandarin and cantonese, so if you're travelling from Guangdong or Hong Kong and would like to feel at home, this is the perfect place to be.
Overall, this was an amazing accommodation to stay at due to the amazing service, location and facilities and the owner and her family really do treat you like family. I would highly recommend staying here, and if I ever come back to yubeng, I will definitely stay here again!
