"Wonderful Hotel, Convenient Location. Wooden, cozy room with a comfortable bed and excellent air conditioning. A nice bonus — there's a café downstairs, and guests have access to free coffee. A small downside: the room did not have a chair and a table, as shown in the photos. Instead, there was a shelf and small glass bedside tables."
"I really liked the bathtub; it was big and very relaxing to soak in. However, the door didn't close completely. The PM2.5 levels are high these days, making it feel like it's not very comfortable to breathe in the room."
"This grand old lady is just perfect when visiting ChiangMai. The hotel is in a great spot with shops and some street food, many cafes and beautiful shops. The breakfast is perfect for me, an Australian, it had all my favourites. The swimming pool is very clean and tested everyday. Ok, the bed was a little hard for me but the girls organised a topper for me. For the price this place is priceless, its so good I stayed there twice. The staff are the best they really looked after me, thankyou everyone 💗"
"I had a very pleasant stay at B2 Riverside Colonial Hotel with my family. The room was clean and well maintained, which made us feel comfortable throughout our stay. The location is excellent, close to the riverside and convenient for getting around the city."
"Helpful staff. Housekeeping made good efforts despite holiday season and guest turnover. Rooms was well appointed and bedding was comfortable. Had a good rest. Vegan restaurant nearby. Will consider for future stay/s."
"A wonderful stay! The hotel has a lovely swimming pool, a wide variety of delicious food, and beautiful rooms right by the river. The staff were absolutely amazing—friendly, helpful, and always smiling. Highly recommended!"
"Peaceful and calm stay, truly worth the money. The rooms are exactly as shown in the photos—no surprises at all. Everything felt comfortable, well-maintained, and relaxing. A great place to unwind, and I would definitely recommend it."
"Very nice hotel with very nice and helpful staff. Possibility to rent bikes."

Amazing
GGuest UserThis hotel was a delightful surprise. It was warm and attentive. During my 20-day stay in Chiang Mai, this was the best value hotel I visited, offering the most attentive service and the most enthusiastic and caring staff. They prepared everything needed for each guest and provided excellent service. The breakfast was also very thoughtfully prepared. The room was beautifully decorated, which I loved. They even provided complimentary fruit and afternoon tea, and toys for the children – it was perfect! Staying here was a great choice…it exceeded my expectations…and the hotel also has a beautiful Thai owner who speaks some Chinese, which is really wonderful! 👍
TTravelProVery nice quiet location, great service and amenities. Room is very sizeable and location is ok. Very happy and would recommend instead of four seasons! The spa was also very good!! Definitely recommend
GGuest UserThe experience with Away Chiang Mai was amazing! Being a vegan, it’s my very first time to stay in a fully vegan hotel. Every morning, I enjoyed the vegan breakfast buffet without needing to read food labels/ guessing if the dish contained any animal ingredients. Apart from food, the room was very comfortable. The swimming pool was not crowded and I could swim freely. What’s more, while the weather was quite cool during my stay, the swimming pool was supplied with warm water. Away Chiang Mai is such a great place for vacation.
GGuest UserA European-designed hotel conveniently located near Nimman Road, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. You can easily rent a bicycle using the Anywheel App, which makes getting around effortless and fun. Cycling through the neighborhood lets you truly enjoy the cool, refreshing breeze during Chiang Mai’s so-called “winter season.” 🚲✨
GGuest UserA beautiful serendipitous spot to relax. Staff are all friendly and have high service mindset. I asked for Khao Soi which is not on menu and they did it for me. Surprisingly the dish was so delicious, one of good Khao Soi bowls I had. All details in the hotel are so well-curated. A location is good, nearby Wat U-mong which is nice to visit by walking. Not too far to go to center of a city. Lovely experience staying there.
VVanthy MaiIf you want a room with good price located inside old town then you should consider this place. However there are some pro and con for your information. Pro: reasonable price. Great location. Friendly staffs swimming pool. Con: room should be a bit more clean than that. AC was really loud.
