highly recommend if you stay in osaka on a budget.
the room that i stayed had a small electric cooker and microwave. pan and utensils where also available. the only downside of the place was the super bright emergency light and the really thin walls, so if you are a light sleeper get yourself some earplugs and eye mask

I absolutely love the Imperial Hotel Osaka! It's so close to Umeda, yet incredibly peaceful with beautiful views. From my window, I could see the Okawa River, amphibious tour buses (or cars!), and the pier. Taking a walk by the river and clearing my mind was incredibly therapeutic. I heard the hotel is almost fully booked for cherry blossom season, and I can only imagine how stunning it must be then!
Speaking of the hotel, it truly lives up to its reputation as an established brand. The service is impeccable. There are seven restaurants within the hotel, each with its own unique charm. This time, I tried the Jasmine Chinese restaurant and the Western bar. The Chinese restaurant served some of the most authentic Chinese food I've had in Japan, though I was disappointed not to try the recommended lobster – it was sold out that day. The Western bar, however, was absolutely delicious, fairly priced, and the service was excellent.
The hotel makes you feel cared for at all times, without ever being intrusive. The staff are incredibly discreet and attentive.

I had originally booked another hotel in Osaka for June 2025, but I kept checking hotel availability every evening. On July 18th, I found a much better deal for this 4-star Noku hotel – a Deluxe Twin Room (not the Superior Twin with two 0.9m beds) for three nights from July 31st to August 3rd. It offered free cancellation up to two days prior. The Deluxe Twin Room has two 1.2m wide beds (Ctrip showed 0.8m, which is incorrect data). It didn't include breakfast, and the total cost for three nights, including a Saturday night, was 1885 CNY. This was a very good price considering it was during the Osaka Expo period. The booking confirmation mentioned a tax payment upon check-in, but I actually didn't have to pay any tax. After booking, I found the hotel's contact number and email on the Ctrip hotel page and confirmed my reservation via email. The hotel promptly answered all my questions.
The hotel is located near the Minamimorimachi subway station in Osaka, about a 5-8 minute walk away. It's a bit further from Tenmabashi subway station, requiring about a 15-minute walk. The hotel is situated in a very quiet residential and office area with a few reasonably priced restaurants nearby. There's also a bus stop close to the hotel.
Just about 100 meters from the hotel, there's a Super LIFE supermarket (open from 09:30 to 24:00). Note that it doesn't accept WeChat Pay or Alipay; only major international credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, and other popular payment methods are accepted. The prices there are very fair and affordable!
In Osaka, the subway is the best mode of transportation, with about 10 lines. Personally, I don't find buying single-trip tickets expensive. You can easily check the route map above the ticket machine, which clearly displays the prices for each station, making it convenient to purchase tickets.
The hotel provides disposable toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors, combs, and slippers. There's a free ice machine with complimentary ice, and bottled water is available for guests to pick up at the front desk. They also offer free luggage storage before check-in and after check-out. The front desk staff are warm, attentive, and very helpful in assisting guests with any issues.

I had a wonderful stay at Premier Hotel Cabin President Osaka. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and very well located, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. We needed help sending my luggage to Tokyo via Sagawa, and the staff handled everything smoothly and professionally. A very special thank you to Tsujimoto and Echigo, they were incredibly kind, patient, and efficient. They explained the process clearly and made sure my luggage was safely arranged, which gave me great peace of mind. Their hospitality made my trip so much easier. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Aside from the room being a bit small, everything else was great. The location is really excellent – within 100 meters, you'll find a subway station, convenience stores, coffee shops, and a mall. There are also several restaurants nearby. Check-in is done via a self-service machine, and there's a Cainiao Express point nearby where you can send packages.

The space of the hotel room is considered huge in Japan. If you make a reservation through trip, you need to go to the front desk to check in. There is a translation machine at the front desk, so it doesn’t matter if you don’t speak Japanese. The room is fully equipped and it is a great experience!

Overall, it was a decent stay, simple and cozy. I personally think this is suitable for business stay. Amenities are provided at the lobby, you can pick what you need. The only downside is that they don't provide water in the room, which in my opinion is quite a basic provision. Anyway, if you'd like to have one you can still purchase it at the lobby for ¥100, or the convenient store next door.
Location is great, walking distance to the history museum and osaka castle. Train station is also very near.

The rooms are well-equipped and very clean. Every time I go shopping in Osaka, I pretty much stay at this place. Plus, this Kitahama branch is very close to both Yodoyabashi and Kitahama subway stations. The surrounding area is quiet and by the canal, unlike the noisy areas of Shinsaibashi and Namba. If you want to shop for clothes, you can just take the Midosuji Line to Umeda or Shinsaibashi. And if you're looking for anime merchandise, you can take the Sakaisuji Line from Kitahama Station to Nihonbashi or Ebisucho. Aside from the bed being a bit small and the pillows not being super comfortable, everything else is perfect.

Very beautiful hotel, staff were mostly very friendly except for the guy during check out, not so helpful. Maybe too early 🤔😅 Self help amenities at the lobby ( cleansing oil, toner, facial lotion, etc) coffee n tea bags too. There's also a coffee and water machine at lobby, water dispenser, microwave and ice machine available on certain floor. Laundry machine too. Perfect location, 5 mins walk to shinsaibashi walking street, all link to Dotonbori. Lots of very yummy food, restaurants around, but only 1 stomach 😭😩 oh, there's a huge weighing machine at the lobby to check ur luggage weight before leaving for airport 👍🤣
Only thing I can't stand is the shower.. Will suddenly turn hot or cold 🚿😨😕😏🤪
Oh very lucky hot upgraded from standard to Queen size, just nice can put my luggage n open completely. Bed very comfy, pillow too soft though. 😊 Still nice stay. Family mart next door, 24hrs. Some food joints too.

I chose not to open my 26-inch suitcase flat. The room, though small, had everything I needed and felt secure. I was pleasantly surprised to find a humidifier, which is a lifesaver for someone from the south. Even though it's on a busy street with a subway and Keihan Railway station right below, there was no noise. As someone who's sensitive to noise and easily overwhelmed, I felt completely comfortable. The streets around the hotel are incredibly clean and tidy, with modern buildings, mostly office blocks. If you turn left at the corner, there's an izakaya where office workers go after hours, and a FamilyMart. I highly recommend Okomoniyaki Sakaba Hanamarutei – it's super delicious and perfect for solo diners! The transportation is excellent. The Keihan Railway connects to Fushimi Inari, the Grand Shrine – Sanjusangen-do – Kiyomizu-dera – Hanamikoji – and the Kamo River. The subway makes it very convenient to get to Universal Studios Japan, Umeda, Shinsaibashi, and Tennoji. To take JR to other cities, you just need to go to Osaka Station.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a convenient 10-15 minute walk to Shinsaibashi. There's a 24-hour Aeon supermarket right next door and a McDonald's at the corner. The room was very clean, and the self-service check-in/check-out at the front desk was super handy. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Osaka.
JJudith AldIt’s a perfect option if your traveling solo, its accessible for the location and the installation and service is good. You need to be aware that you need to be quite in the bedroom area, every bed don’t have big walls to mute the silence, gladly I didn’t have any noisy neighbors on the women dorm so I slept well during my three nights there . Theres a common area for woman and other for everyone . The showers and toilets are shared but in good condition, they give you towels and sleep wear , the location is also good, near to Donbori and to the subway.
GGuest UserThis hotel is the closest to Universal Studios, just a few minutes' walk to the ticket gates, and offers full views of Universal Studios from the rooms. It's incredibly convenient to get to: you can take the subway from the airport, transfer once, and the hotel is just tens of meters from the exit. For Japan, the rooms are quite spacious, and the bathroom is sparkling clean with a separate wet and dry area. The lobby is luxuriously decorated with some futuristic, high-tech elements. Right outside the hotel is the Universal Citywalk, packed with eateries and Universal-themed shops. The food on Citywalk is all pretty good; the Gekko-ryu takoyaki is better than the other place, and the fried wagyu was also delicious. The subway from the airport gets you right to the hotel's doorstep with just one transfer, making transportation extremely convenient.
FFat GrumpyPerfect location, it is only a min away from the train station and next to USJ. Best part is they have a spa that you absolute want it after a hard day at the amusement park!
AAnonymous UserPay attention to the room size when booking. The location is unbeatable – within walking distance to Shinsaibashi, with a convenience store right outside, and the meeting point for day tours just at the corner. It's the top choice if you're planning to book a day tour. Breakfast was a bit simple.
AAnonymous UserThis is a real gem and excellent value for money. It’s in a great location, near to public transport and with plenty of cafes and bars in the area. All the staff, without exception, were delightful. Facilities are really good - great selection of toiletries, great shower/loo, free beer every day 18-19:00, room service etc. Breakfast was excellent and good value. Would recommend.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is super convenient! It's right next to the subway station, and just a few minutes' walk to popular shopping and dining areas like Kuromon Market, Shinsaibashi, and Dotonbori – you'll find everything you need for food, drinks, and entertainment. Plus, the hotel offers complimentary bread and drinks for breakfast. Overall, it's great value for money! 👍
FFanxiaotutuThis is our second stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk from the subway station, right behind the Shinsaibashi Ferris Wheel, so it's super easy to find. We were two adults and one child, and booked a triple room. The room was genuinely tiny, so small it was hard to even open our luggage, but it had everything we needed. They provide three bottles of water daily, and there's a free ice machine available. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast was very Japanese; it wasn't really to our taste, but it was enough to tide us over.
VVinzy NgGood hotel with spa with mediocre services.
The room was neat, clean and feeling new.
However, staffs are not familiar with English, not even talking Mandarin. Using the translator with poor voice input was troublesome and sometimes it interpreted wrong meanings.
Room service if missed will not be provided again on that day.
Also, there were many spa-only visitors simply lying on the spa floor.
Parts of the male spa were under construction and one night there were no 40 degree Celsius or higher pool as they were all under cleaning at the same time.
The ground of the spa was very slippery, mostly because many visitors did not bother to rinse themselves well after using the conditioner.
The breakfast buffet is good in terms of food choices and environment. But I dislike the scrambled eggs, which had a texture tasted awful.
GGuest UserCompared to places back home, it's definitely on the smaller side, but for Japan, the size is actually quite acceptable. It wasn't as cramped or dated as I'd imagined. With the lights on, it felt quite cozy, and the window provided good natural light. My only minor gripes were the lack of complimentary water and that housekeeping only came every three days. On the plus side, there's a 7-Eleven nearby, which is super convenient, and it's also very close to Tenkachaya Station. The neighborhood is residential and felt very safe, completely unlike what some online comments suggest about the 'western district' being full of homeless people; even at 9 or 10 PM, there were no drunks or homeless individuals around. Luggage storage is under camera surveillance with no staff supervision, which initially made me a little worried, but my bags were perfectly safe after half a day. All in all, it's very affordable and offers excellent value for money. 🫶
