AAnonymous UserThe location is super convenient, just across the street from Shinsaibashi, Ichiran Ramen, and the Glico Running Man billboard – perfect for photos! I really liked that the luggage area is separate from the sleeping area; it means you can pack without disturbing anyone. During peak cherry blossom season, people might be coming and going a lot, but after a long day of sightseeing, I was too tired for it to bother me. Light sleepers, however, might want to consider this. They have both washing machines and dryers, and there are enough restrooms and vanity areas, though you might have to wait a bit during peak evening hours. It’s very close to Namba subway station, with exit 25 being the closest. It might take a moment to find at first, but once you're familiar, it's incredibly handy. The front desk service is excellent, and they offer free luggage storage. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in Osaka!

GGuest UserI stayed for two nights, which was perfect after a fun day at Universal Studios Japan – I could just come back and relax. The hotel is surrounded by a bustling shopping street with plenty of restaurants and shops. I even grabbed some Sushiro takeout to enjoy back at the hotel. The room was very spacious, and I especially loved the three-part bathroom setup which was super convenient. All the bath amenities were well-stocked too. In the evenings, I could pop down to the 24-hour Lawson downstairs to buy a couple of onigiri to store in the mini-fridge. Each floor also has a microwave, so I could just heat them up before heading out the door in the morning.

XXLbaoWe stayed at The Singulari Hotel & Skyspa at Universal Studios Japan during our 4th trip to Japan and our first traveling with our auADHD toddler. This was our second hotel in Osaka, and we arrived by taxi directly from our previous hotel. Taxi tip: make sure you show the taxi driver the hotel name and address in Japanese. Our driver initially dropped us at Universal Studios Japan instead of the hotel entrance and that cost us when it showed him the Google maps address. The hotel staff themselves were excellent. They deal with international guest on the daily and some speak English. Our forwarded luggage was received without issue and delivered directly to our room, which made arrival seamless. They have forms for luggage transport themselves that I used for our KIX airport hotel. Service throughout our stay was efficient and professional, and the staff clearly explained all hotel procedures. The biggest advantage of this property is its location. It is about a 10-minute walk to the entrance of Universal Studios Japan, which gives you a real edge if you plan to rope drop. The subway station is directly outside the hotel entrance, making transportation extremely convenient. Universal Citywalk is steps away, with Starbucks, Lawson, Bikkuri Donki (Great for familes by the way), shopping, and countless restaurants all within immediate reach. If you’re visiting USJ, I strongly recommend arriving at the park entrance by 7:30 a.m. We arrived around 8:30 a.m., and it made the first ride strategy noticeably more challenging. Luckily disability service helped a little as it was similar to Disney when you have to go to the Fast Pass staff to get a return time but USJ uses pen and paper. The earlier you position yourself for rope drop, the smoother your morning will be. Lines were extremely long and we were only able to see half the park. Unless you have 2 days at USJ, I recommend buying the Express pass packages as early as possible as they were all sold out the day of. Definitely a big regret as we only had 1 day there. The onsen sauna was of an average size. After long park days, it was incredibly relaxing. The baths are separated by gender, and there are no private rentable family spaces, so that’s something to keep in mind if traveling to onsen if you are not comfortable going commando with others. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom felt slightly dated but it was clean and fully functional. One thing I missed was having a small kitchenette and in-room washer/dryer. Laundry is available on the spa floor via coin machines, but in-room units would have been more better. On our second day, we made a day trip to Ghibli Park in Aichi, which took about 2.5 hours each way via Shinkansen and local transit. It’s doable but long. If your primary focus is Universal Studios Japan, this hotel is an excellent strategic base. If you plan multiple long day trips outside Osaka, you may want something more centrally located. I should have planned a day to stay at Nagoya for my Ghibli Park day. Overall, The Singulari is ideal for travelers prioritizing proximity to Universal Studios Japan, easy transit access (but not centrally located), and post-park relaxation in a quality onsen setting.

ちなみI've stayed at various Koko hotels many times, and they generally offer good value for money. Hotels around Namba Station in a similar price range are either too old or too far from the subway. This Sennichimae location is excellent! Coming from Kobe on the Hanshin Electric Railway, exit at the west exit. You'll come up into the 'Walk' underground mall. Walk along the right side of the underground mall and look for exit B30 (pictured in photo five). Next to it is a small cafe with a bear painted on the wall 🐻. After climbing the stairs, you'll see a 7-Eleven, and right next door is the hotel. (Be aware that several exits in this area are all stairs, I didn't see any with elevators, so if you have large luggage, it might be a bit strenuous). The room size is relatively small. You can open one 26-inch suitcase, but two would probably be difficult! The hotel is quite new, and toiletries can be picked up from the lobby on the first floor. The hairdryer is still not very good, unfortunately. Check-in was very convenient with a Chinese-speaking staff member. There are plenty of dining options in the shopping street downstairs, as well as general stores and cosmetics shops. Plus, you can walk directly to Namba Station underground, which is really convenient.

AAnonymous UserThe front desk had a staff member who spoke Chinese, which made check-in super easy. The room was spacious and well-laid out, and it's really close to the subway station! Plus, it's right next to some very upscale residential buildings in Osaka.

GGuest UserThis hotel is quite new with excellent facilities. The location is a bit hard to judge because I took a wrong turn coming from the airport. It's about a 10-minute walk from the hotel to Shinsaibashi for shopping. The positive review is for the male staff member who spoke Chinese. The female staff member who checked me in was very unfriendly and the process was complicated. The male staff member resolved the issue later, and his attitude was exceptionally good. Although I still don't understand what was wrong with the previous room, he eventually moved me to a family room, and I was able to check in smoothly. Some luggage can be left at the front desk, while others are required to be stored on the first floor in self-locking lockers. I'm not quite sure why there's a difference. The room facilities are excellent and very new. The breakfast is delicious, just like at other Tokyu Stay hotels. You pick up your toiletries yourself, and there's complimentary coffee.

GGuest UserThe hotel is located right in front of Dotonbori Street, but it's not a noisy area. There are convenience stores like Lawson and 7-Eleven nearby. It's about a 15-minute walk (1km) from Namba Station, which is manageable when coming from the airport. The bathroom was clean. Free breakfast includes bread, drinks, and coffee. The coffee was absolutely delicious! Amenities are self-service on the first floor. You need to request new towels daily. Room cleaning is done once every three nights. The room itself is small, but having experienced even smaller rooms before, this size was acceptable.

AAnonymous UserComing from Kansai Airport, you do have to transfer a few times on the subway. However, the hotel is very close to Juso Station, about a 6-7 minute walk. Juso Station has a food street, so dining is super convenient! It's not crowded around at night, so sleeping is very, very quiet! There's a convenience store at the intersection, and Don Quijote is just across the main road! There's also Daikoku Drugstore nearby! Although breakfast is simple, it changes a bit every day, which shows a lot of thought. You'll definitely be full and satisfied! The lobby also has vending machines with beer, drinks, and ice cream! All your normal needs can be met here! Personally, I think even though the location is a little out of the way, it makes up for it in value for money, and transferring subways is still very convenient~

GGuest UserRoom was assigned to the highest level (12F) which we felt peaceful , no disturbance at all even though there's alot of night activities happening below. Would recommend couples/ families without kids to stay instead as the crowd around the hotel area may not be feasible for kid. Also, there's weighing scale provided for luggage at the hotel, super good!

GGuest UserThe room is small but can open two suitcases. The public bath and spa are excellent. Close to JR station and donki. But the staff and hotel policy are terrible and I could only rate it woth adverse comment. First, at checkin the staff did not tell us the spa world could be used even after checkout, so we had no idea we could still stay to play the spa world the next day until we learnt it from other residents in the hotel. If we have learnt it earlier at checkin we might adjust our travelling plan as we checkin late at night from landing. Second, upon checkout we asked for luggage storage service, which is very basic services of hotel, but the staff said if we were leaving and not staying for the spa, they would not keep our luggage. I am not meaning leaving Japan but I just go out from breakfast or some shopping. I have visited Japan multiple times and stayed in many hotels or residence, and this is the first one not offering luggage storage service. Please do not call this a hotel if you refuse to offer luggage storage service. Third, the hotel prohibited any slipper and every one had to walk back to rooms in bare feet after public bath, this sounds dirty while the staff was wearing slipper. Hotel could provide slippers and require resident to wear hotel slippers only. Bad experience and poor service.
