The location is good, with two Tube stations, Limehouse and Borough, within walking distance (about 20 minutes to Borough Bridge). It's also close to the HMS Belfast museum. The check-in experience was decent, considering it's a city-center hotel. The room was well-designed and compact. Breakfast was plentiful. Parking is £20 for 24 hours.

Great location near Mile End underground station and Queen Mary University. Very unique setting as the hotel has ca 12 rooms above a cool pub. The rooms are simple but well maintained, very clean and comfortable, good bathroom, and well insulated from the pub noise. There is some noise from the street and the ventilator, so not suitable for guests who require absolute silence. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is well-equipped with excellent facilities, including a gym that provides towels and drinking water. It was spotlessly clean, especially the room. My only minor complaint is that complimentary bottled water was not provided. However, the hotel's location is a significant drawback; it didn't feel very safe, particularly the walk to the subway station, so guests should definitely exercise caution.

I've booked this hotel multiple times for various reasons. Initially, it was quite appealing, and I was drawn to its unique cultural vibe. However, after several stays, the experience has been less than comfortable, with a roughly equal number of pros and cons. On the positive side: 1. The hotel room windows can be opened. While they don't allow for a cross breeze, they do help improve indoor air quality, which is a feature not typically found in most 4-5 star hotels that rely solely on sealed windows and air conditioning for ventilation. 2. The bathroom radiator's temperature is adjustable and controllable, another feature not available in most 4-5 star hotels with central heating. 3. The hotel rooms feature synthetic flooring instead of carpet. 4. The staff service is generally good, and they are responsive to issues. On the negative side: 1. The floor insulation is poor. Unless you're on the top floor, you'll hear footsteps from the room above. 2. The rug in front of the bed is attached with prickly strips, which can become ineffective over time and pose a tripping hazard, or make the floor feel uneven when walking on it with slippers. 3. In some rooms, the sink drains slowly. While it improves after being unblocked, I discovered a pipe leak that causes water to seep through the tile cracks. 4. The 'deluxe double bed' rooms seem like temporarily converted suites, offering no sound insulation. Conversations and laughter from outside are clearly audible.

Our family stayed in two rooms for three nights. We had requested higher-floor rooms but were given accessible rooms on the first floor instead. We were told the higher floors are only for executive rooms. There were many small flies coming from the toilets in both rooms, even with daily cleaning. We also saw similar flies around the Parma ham and cheese area at breakfast buffet, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the location is convenient and there are good restaurants nearby. The service was generally good. It would help if the hotel could improve pest control and be more flexible with room assignments for families.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed at the Wilde Aparthotel Aldgate Tower Bridge for two nights at the end of August and had a rather underwhelming experience. We expected more from this hotel, judging by its ratings online. As Coldplay was in town (our reason for visiting London), prices were higher than average. The hotel is a five-minute walk from Aldgate East and about eight minutes from Aldgate Station. Liverpool Street Station is technically in walkable distance aswell, though taking the bus there is easier, with a stop right in front of the hotel. I wouldn’t recommend walking to Whitechapel for the Elizabeth Line – the walk felt long, annoying, and unsafe. Also, avoid walking further down the road toward McDonald’s after dark – sketchy atmosphere, and we saw two police scenes within those five mins of walking. Walking to Aldgate or Liverpool Street is safer. The arrival was.. odd. No one greeted us, and we waited in the lobby for several minutes before someone finally helped us at a not-so-clean high table. The staff member seemed demotivated and spoke very quietly, though check-in was quick. Unfortunately, we were charged twice despite prepaying nearly a year earlier through a third party. This was resolved after I spoke with the manager, but I was surprised it was marked as a “user error” on our invoice, and no small gesture like waiving the early check-in fee was offered for the inconvenience. We were given a room on the 9th floor. The corridors are dim, with black walls and stuffy air despite it being just 22 degrees outside. The “triple room” is simply too small for three adults. The storage areas under the twin beds is smart, and there is a small wardrobe with two drawers, but oddly no safe to store your valuables. A table and chair cramped the room unnecessarily and looked cheap compared to the rest. The sofa bed was decent but had a pretty thin mattress and annoying metal railings that can be a little annoying when standing up / lying down; there was also no nightstand, only a photo shelf right above it where you really can’t put anything. The kitchen area becomes very narrow once the sofa bed is pulled out. The fridge and sink were great, but the bins were tiny and filled up after just one day. The bathroom was also cramped, with practically no counter space. No toothbrush cups, Q-tips, or cotton pads were provided – unusual for a 4-star property. The soap dispenser was nearly empty and even fell out of its holder, and none of the dispensers were secured/locked, which isn’t hygienic (most hotels have that nowadays, for a reason!). We didn’t know where to go with dirty towels as there was no designated spot for them and no space. The heated towel holder being *right* next to the toilet is weird and inconvenient. We had the AC running for hours & hours on end, yet it barely managed to cool down the room to an acceptable temp. At least it was quiet enough to keep on at night. The TV had few channels but casting worked very well. Light controls were fine, and the blackout blinds were excellent– also essential, since the windows aren’t tinted from the outside. On the positive side, the room was clean, beds were comfortable, and it was quiet at night despite the hotel being full. We skipped breakfast as there are better options near Liverpool Street Station that we wanted to try out. All in all, our first ever stay at a Wilde property was just okay. The location is central but not particularly the nicest, the staff lacked warmth, and the triple room was way too small for three adults. It should not be sold as a triple for three adults and would be better suited for parents with a small child. I imagine the higher room categories might do a better job of accommodating three adults. We had what we needed; a clean room with good public transport connections. However, we wouldn’t stay here again as there’s better options out there.

Ssoph.iasuch a lovely hotel with amazing staff, very helpful and incredibly friendly and welcoming. as goes for cleanliness it was definitely clean however there were just a few areas that needed a little more attention as me and my partner found dirty handprints on the shower screen, a very small stain on the bed after it had been made up by housekeeping as well as hair and markings/dirt left on the side of the bath. These weren’t really massive issues for me and my partner as it wasn’t really that noticeable and can be easily overlooked. We notified the wonderful lady on reception at check out (Rachel) of these issues, not so much as a complaint but just really for next people in our room who could potentially be less understandable. She went to investigate our room personally immediately after we left and apologised profusely as well as offering us to be upgraded to one of their executive suites next time we stayed at no extra cost from the standard room rate as way to apologise. Honestly was so such a wonderful stay though and had the most amazing time and would definitely recommend to other travellers :)

GGuest UserThe staff's service attitude was excellent, but the facilities left much to be desired. The bathroom fixtures were quite old, and the shower, in particular, wasn't designed for Asian heights, making it difficult to control the water flow. Washing was a real struggle, and there were several clogs, impacting cleanliness. Overall, it was a very inconvenient experience. Additionally, the hotel room faced the street, so the constant noise of passing cars was unavoidable. If you're a light sleeper, it would be extremely hard to fall asleep!!

MM.AshalThe reception team were friendly at check in, and I was given a beautiful tin of truffles and some drinks vouchers (maybe as a diamond member?). This was really a special touch and appreciated. However the room itself wasn’t great. I’ve stayed in quite a few London hotels so know you don’t get lots of space and for 1 night you don’t need much, but this room was so small it was a struggle to move about. The air conditioning was on but it was weak. Thankfully the window opened slightly but it remained warm in the room. Bathroom was dated, quite small and felt cheap. Minor point but the pillows and duvet didn’t feel like the usual Hilton ones, they seemed thicker… Overall, it was clean, relatively quiet and had great service which is all that’s really needed, but it felt more of a budget hotel with Hilton price tag. I do think they are doing everything they can to make stays as good as possible, since they can’t really do anything about the room sizes.

AAlison’s Silk Road TravelsI stayed in room 302 in March 2026 for 1 night. I chose this hotel because I stayed there before and I was very impressed. This time I was given the same room again, I liked the room. It has a large comfy bed and a nice clean bathroom. The breakfast was really good as I like vegetables and they do great omelettes and fresh vegetables. The reception staff are very kind and helpful during my visit and remembered me from the last time I stayed. The hotel is in very easy access to the underground. On this visit the Elizabeth line was closed and I had to get a bus to agents Hill. This was very easy. There are plenty of places to eat around the hotel including an all you can eat from £11.99. I always have a good Stay at this hotel. There is a kettle with plenty of T and coffee. Some people staying on my floor were very noisy but that was all I can criticise really as it wasn’t the hotels fault. Very kind staff. There is a decent TV in the room and plenty of towels. During this trip and overnight stay I visited the Ramses exhibition at Battersea and images are included in this feedback. A good hotel to stay in that’s great value just outside central London about 20 mins on train.

2201675****The room was tiny, barely enough space to turn around, and once we opened our suitcases, they completely blocked the door. As for the shower, it was barely usable, just enough to get by. The upside is the incredibly convenient location. It's right next to Paddington Station and the tube, making it super easy to get anywhere. Hyde Park is just a few hundred meters away – perfect for a stroll through the park, enjoying the scenery, and feeding the pigeons. Buckingham Palace is only about a kilometer further. During the Christmas season, Regent Street is just four bus stops and a hundred-meter walk away. It was quite expensive, but that's London for you. It really depends on what you prioritize. If you just need a place to sleep that's well-located for exploring, it's a decent option.
