Royal National Hotel

No air conditioning. It was really hot in the afternoon, but cool at night. Other services were very limited, typical of a 3-star hotel. The shower in my room wasn't great, but the one across the hall at the 'sleep' area was fine. Overall, it's just a very average place, so don't expect too much. I paid 1200 yuan including breakfast.

Overall, I was quite satisfied. The room size isn't small for London standards, but since there were three of us, once the sofa was converted into a bed, there was no space left for luggage. Although the facilities aren't brand new, everything worked well and was very practical. You can get water in the lobby. It's not far from the subway station and easily accessible. The only downside is that it faces the street, so the noise was quite significant. Police cars were patrolling with all sorts of siren variations, and the sound of motorcycles 'blowing up the street' was particularly loud.

The room was a bit small, but the facilities were clean, and the transportation was very convenient. The shuttle to the Harry Potter studio, booked through Trip.com, was right outside the hotel, though we needed to ask the hotel staff about it. Nearby, there's the British Museum, a Tesco supermarket, an H&B store, and a restaurant called 'Big Brother's Rice Noodles'.

Great location, right by Russell Square and very close to the British Museum. The area is lively, and the hotel itself is quite large and bustling. However, aside from the lobby, the room facilities are quite old.

No air conditioning, no fan, it was scorching hot! For breakfast, there were no vegetables, and the fruit was just salad. Plus, the breakfast never changed daily. The bath towels weren't replaced daily during housekeeping either.

A hotel with many guests. The room is small, has no air conditioning, and is extremely stuffy and unbearable. The soundproofing is poor, but the staff are very friendly and the room is clean.

We booked a triple room. The room wasn't huge, but it was adequate. The hotel's location right by Russell Square, close to the British Museum, made getting around quite convenient. The bearded gentleman who checked us in was incredibly enthusiastic and his warm service really helped us shake off the fatigue from our long journey. Our stay was during the summer, and the room didn't have air conditioning, which made it quite hot. Perhaps that's the only downside of the hotel: no AC.
