"Excellent hotel with a unique design. Overall, it's quite clean and the location is incredibly convenient. We booked a sea view room and the view was absolutely first-class. The hotel staff are very friendly, and there's definitely no unfriendliness towards Chinese guests; we encountered many visitors from China there. The rooftop pool & bar is fantastic and also very child-friendly, offering suitable meals and drinks for kids. We really enjoyed swimming and spending time there. Would definitely recommend to friends!"

"This was my second stay at Cinnamon Grand. My first experience was excellent. This time, I checked in late, and since the rooms in the usual section were full, I was assigned a room on the other side. The facilities there felt noticeably older, the hairdryer was broken, and the bathroom was smaller than in the other section. Furthermore, the cleanliness was poor – there were clumps of hair and a dead cockroach, and no slippers were provided. It felt like the two sections of the hotel had different standards for room upkeep. Since it was late when I checked in and I was only staying for two nights, I decided not to ask the hotel to change my room. If you're staying here, I recommend choosing a room accessed via the front desk entrance, rather than the one next to the pastry shop. I hope the hotel can improve the standards of these rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. During check-in, there was a system issue, and I was initially assigned two double rooms. The staff member then had to check four different rooms to find a correct single room for me. I really appreciate their effort. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the beach. However, it's quite a distance from the artificial harbor and the shopping mall, so it's best to take a tuk-tuk."

"I had a very bad experience and felt angry during my stay. The bathroom was in poor condition. When I took a shower, the water did not drain properly, and the floor remained flooded. The sink and faucet were also blocked. The bathroom light was partially broken due to water damage, which was unsafe and unpleasant. This situation was disgusting and unacceptable. The food was also not good—just very basic and below expectations. Overall, I am disappointed and do not recommend this hotel unless these issues are fixed."

"I recently stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Colombo, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The room was extremely spacious, honestly one of the largest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in within Colombo. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The room included everything you might need—tea and coffee facilities, toiletries, toothbrushes, and more. The bed was very large and comfortable, and the TV, office table was huge as well. All the facilities such as the lights, air conditioning, and fan worked perfectly, so we had no issues at all. Our room was on the 8th floor (top floor) and we had a nice view overlooking the Galle Face Hotel with a small view of the ocean. The location of the hotel is also excellent since it is very close to Galle Face Green and many other attractions in Colombo, which makes it very convenient for travelers. The check-in process was smooth, and they welcomed us with a refreshing welcome drink. One thing to note is that the security procedure is quite strict. When we had guests visiting our room briefly, they had to provide their IDs and go through a security check. It was the first time I experienced this in a hotel, but it is understandable since it helps maintain safety. Although we booked bed and breakfast, we later asked if we could add the dinner buffet, but unfortunately it was already full. However, something very kind happened later that night. My mother wanted chicken congee, so we asked the room service staff if it was available. Even though it was not on the menu at that moment, they were kind enough to prepare and send us a bowl of chicken congee. It was a very thoughtful gesture, and we truly appreciated their kindness. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a very wide variety of food, and everything we tried was delicious. My family has always liked the buffets at Ramada, and this time was no different. They also had live cooking stations, and the staff there were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, everything about the stay was great. The room, service, location, and food were all excellent. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. It is absolutely worth the price and offers great value for money."

"This was my first stay at Mandarina Colombo.Hotel. The hotel was located in a convenient location, across from Marino Mall and there were many eateries as well as a convenient store nearby.. The hotel room was very spacious and clean. However basic amenities like bedroom slippers and iron were not provided. I do hope the hotel would look into this. Apart from this, the service was superb, very friendly and attentive staff. Being a Muslim, I love the fact that the room was well equipped with the Kiblat ( Prayer ) direction, the Quran as well as a prayer mat. I was also glad that the breakfast spread was good, delicious and very accomodating in respecting racial and religious differences by serving vegetarian dishes as well as halal food only. I will certainly recomnend this hotel to others visiting Colombo, Sri Lanka. Abd eill not hesitate to come back and stay at Mandarina Colonbo again. I simply love it!!!"

"We came to Sri Lanka for Chinese New Year, and the country gave us a wonderful experience. The hotel's service was excellent; they even added an extra bed for us since we were traveling with a child. That evening, we had Chinese food on the 10th floor and saw the stunning infinity pool. The Chinese food was quite good. Breakfast was also fantastic, and we got to see the small seaside train from the second floor where we ate! And, of course, the ocean! The tea here is excellent, definitely worth trying."

"We recently stayed at Galle Face Hotel, Colombo with my family. Overall, the hotel experience was good, especially the location and service. However, the rooms feel overly traditional and colonial, which does not fully meet modern-day requirements. The heavy wooden furniture and old-fashioned, posh décor may appeal to older patrons who appreciate classic heritage styles, but it may not suit travelers looking for a more contemporary stay. The electrical points and facilities are also quite outdated and not convenient for today’s laptop- and gadget-dependent travelers. I would suggest that the hotel consider modernizing some rooms and amenities, while still preserving a few heritage-style rooms for guests who prefer the traditional experiences."

"I recently stayed at Amari Colombo in Colombo, and overall I had a wonderful experience. I was especially impressed with Nishel. Despite his young age, he was extremely professional, respectful, and attentive to our needs. He immediately helped us find the most suitable room for our stay and handled everything efficiently. Upekha was also very helpful and kind throughout our visit, always ready to assist with a smile. The only negative point was the early check-in policy. We arrived around 5:00 a.m. and were asked to pay an additional $150, which felt quite expensive and significantly higher than the average nightly rate listed on various booking platforms. Other than that, everything was excellent. The view was stunning, the rooms were spotless, and the breakfast was rich and delicious, offering many options from both local and international cuisine. I would definitely choose to stay here again. Thank you for the warm hospitality!"
