"Everything is clean. The view is perfect. The room is quiet. The shower has good water pressure. The wifi is working perfectly. Free shower gel,shampoo, conditioner toothbrush /toothpaste. Very nice infinity pool at the rooftop whit a stunning view. Thr rooftop bar has a stunning view. "I recently stayed at Amari Colombo in Colombo, and overall I had a wonderful experience. I was especially impressed with Nishel. Despite his young age, he was extremely professional, respectful, and attentive to our needs. He immediately helped us find the most suitable room for our stay and handled everything efficiently. Upekha was also very helpful and kind throughout our visit, always ready to assist with a smile. The only negative point was the early check-in policy. We arrived around 5:00 a.m. and were asked to pay an additional $150, which felt quite expensive and significantly higher than the average nightly rate listed on various booking platforms. Other than that, everything was excellent. The view was stunning, the rooms were spotless, and the breakfast was rich and delicious, offering many options from both local and international cuisine. I would definitely choose to stay here again. Thank you for the warm hospitality!"

"We recently stayed at Galle Face Hotel, Colombo with my family. Overall, the hotel experience was good, especially the location and service. However, the rooms feel overly traditional and colonial, which does not fully meet modern-day requirements. The heavy wooden furniture and old-fashioned, posh décor may appeal to older patrons who appreciate classic heritage styles, but it may not suit travelers looking for a more contemporary stay. The electrical points and facilities are also quite outdated and not convenient for today’s laptop- and gadget-dependent travelers. I would suggest that the hotel consider modernizing some rooms and amenities, while still preserving a few heritage-style rooms for guests who prefer the traditional experiences."

"The hotel is close to the sea, but buildings block the view, so you can't really see it. It's very close to the mini-train along the coast, and there are supermarkets and malls nearby, which is quite convenient. I arrived two hours early, and they allowed me to check in ahead of time. While I waited, they even offered me a glass of juice. Surprisingly, they didn't charge me the extra $3+ that I was supposed to pay on-site (I reminded the staff, but after checking, they told me it wasn't necessary). I booked a two-meal package, both buffets. The dinner selection seemed less extensive than breakfast, perhaps because fewer people booked it. A bit of a mix-up happened because I wasn't told the dining times, so I went for dinner before 7 PM. The restaurant was completely empty. Later, I saw on a screen that dinner apparently starts at 7 PM, but the staff member just let me in without explanation – which honestly gave me a very good feeling about their service. The room was spacious, and the type I booked surprisingly had two beds pushed together to form a super-king size. The soundproofing with the next room was pretty good; the people next door were playing music from check-in until after 10 PM, but I could only hear a faint sound once the street quieted down. That's acceptable. Sometimes the street noise was quite noticeable, but my tolerance for ambient street noise is higher than my tolerance for noise from neighboring rooms. The pool is on the top floor, and so is the restaurant. As an introvert, I'm not a big fan of this design. Overall, the stay was quite comfortable and offered excellent value for money."

"Very good hotel, close to everything. Good breakfast - variety of dishes, local and international, but slightly overpriced. Nice pool, didn't check the gym. Bed is comfortable. Room temperature can be regulated. Somewhat slow check in process, but they offer tamarind juice on arrival. Didn't try coconut at the bar, you can buy them outside for 150 LKR ! Uber Eats can be ordered to the hotel in case you want to try other restaurants."

"I had a truly beautiful and memorable experience staying at this hotel. From the very first moment, you sense its special atmosphere—a place with history, character, and its own unique atmosphere. The ocean view is simply incredible, one of those that stays in your memory for a long time. The sound of the waves, the sunsets, and the overall sense of space and air create a feeling of relaxation and fulfillment. The hotel grounds are pleasant and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. I'd especially like to highlight the location—it's truly exceptional and one of its main advantages. At the same time, there's a feeling that the hotel lacks some consistency in its service and attention to detail. In places, it feels like this space has much greater potential than it currently has. This doesn't completely ruin the experience, but it does create a slight contrast between the atmosphere and the level of service. Overall, this is a place with a beautiful soul, strong energy, and a unique location. With a more attentive and refined approach to service, it could be truly outstanding."

"Avoid: Misleading Room Categories & Poor Service I booked two ”Superior King Rooms,” but upon arrival, the hotel claimed this category doesn't exist and forced me into basic ”Deluxe” rooms. They continue to advertise these non-existent categories online. As a family with elderly members and children, we were also assigned rooms at opposite ends of the floor, despite our request for proximity. Management was dismissive and blamed the booking platform rather than taking responsibility for their own inventory. Be aware: What you book is not what you will get. I expected 5-star service but received a downgrade and zero accountability. Save your money and look elsewhere."

CCJ12A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen. We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed. Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel. All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel.

The staff are really friendly, helpful and there is always someone around if you need anything. I had a wonderful massage at the spa as well, which really added to the luxury experience. IIan LagacLocation is great, just beside One Galle Face Mall. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Beautiful sunset views (from the bar, pool, restaurant, lobby) and Galle Face opposite the road. Rooms are gorgeous and spacious. Checked in Dec 30-Jan 2 peak season. Hotel was fully booked. Waited in the lobby for my room to be ready upon check-in. Front desk said they will find me to let me know. Waited for more than an hour before I asked them again and told me that my room has been ready. Ordered some room service which took more than an hour to be delivered. Granted they told me that it may take about 50 minutes because it was peak hours. Upon delivery they told me it was comped because of the long wait. Pool, restaurant, and bar staff are all great. Very personable and accommodating. Loved the sky pool on the 31st floor. No bar but not as crowded as the main pool. Breakfast was great. A lot of choices. Asian selection is great. Pastries not so much, some didn’t seem fresh. Heard from some staff that it gets super busy from around 9 but didn’t experience any long wait. Plenty of tables to accommodate people. Overall a great experience and will definitely stay here again if I’m in Colombo.

MManuri LinaraI recently stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Colombo, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The room was extremely spacious, honestly one of the largest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in within Colombo. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The room included everything you might need—tea and coffee facilities, toiletries, toothbrushes, and more. The bed was very large and comfortable, and the TV, office table was huge as well. All the facilities such as the lights, air conditioning, and fan worked perfectly, so we had no issues at all. Our room was on the 8th floor (top floor) and we had a nice view overlooking the Galle Face Hotel with a small view of the ocean. The location of the hotel is also excellent since it is very close to Galle Face Green and many other attractions in Colombo, which makes it very convenient for travelers. The check-in process was smooth, and they welcomed us with a refreshing welcome drink. One thing to note is that the security procedure is quite strict. When we had guests visiting our room briefly, they had to provide their IDs and go through a security check. It was the first time I experienced this in a hotel, but it is understandable since it helps maintain safety. Although we booked bed and breakfast, we later asked if we could add the dinner buffet, but unfortunately it was already full. However, something very kind happened later that night. My mother wanted chicken congee, so we asked the room service staff if it was available. Even though it was not on the menu at that moment, they were kind enough to prepare and send us a bowl of chicken congee. It was a very thoughtful gesture, and we truly appreciated their kindness. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a very wide variety of food, and everything we tried was delicious. My family has always liked the buffets at Ramada, and this time was no different. They also had live cooking stations, and the staff there were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, everything about the stay was great. The room, service, location, and food were all excellent. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. It is absolutely worth the price and offers great value for money.
