Breakfast - specifically was absolutely outstanding! Highly recommend the pancakes! 🥰 And the resident cat - did great at scaring the crowd away that Colombo is “known” for. In fact if the new PM of 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 is looking for another cat - he should find out if this precious feline has any kittens! I’m sure the cat will last longer than a 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 PM 😹 🐈

According to my booking, I was supposed to receive a king-size bed, but upon check-in, I was given two very small, separate beds instead. The hotel authorities failed to keep the commitment made at the time of booking. Staying and sleeping in these small beds was extremely difficult and uncomfortable for us. This kind of poor service and irresponsibility is completely unacceptable from a reputable hotel. In terms of customer service and maintaining commitments, this has been a thoroughly disappointing experience. I have no intention of ever staying at this hotel again in the future.

Extremely Disappointed! Appalling Service That Completely Fails to Meet the Hotel's Claimed Standards! This stay was nothing short of a disaster. A solid 1-star rating is the only fair review! First of all, when checking in, I presented clear booking confirmation details, yet the front desk claimed they couldn't find my reservation. What was even more infuriating was that, despite knowing there was an issue with my booking, the staff offered zero explanations or apologies. Instead, they proceeded to check in a white guest who had just arrived after me. This blatant racial discrimination and double standard are absolutely unacceptable! It wasn't until I urgently contacted the booking platform that my reservation was finally located nearly half an hour later. Throughout this entire process, the staff showed no remorse and even provided the wrong Wi-Fi password, wasting a massive amount of my time and energy. To make matters worse, the hairdryer in my room was broken! For a hotel of this size, it is unbelievable that they couldn't even provide a spare hairdryer. The maintenance staff they sent took nearly 2 hours to fix it. This severely disrupted my rest and left me feeling absolutely exhausted the next day. When I reported all these issues at checkout the following morning, both the duty manager and the original receptionist were extremely dismissive and completely lacked any genuine intention to resolve the problem. Only one female staff member apologized, but that was it—there was absolutely no substantive compensation or follow-up action. Overall, the service quality, staff attitude, and problem-resolution approach of this hotel completely fail to live up to their advertised positioning. From check-in to check-out, the entire experience was terrible. Strongly NOT recommended!

Wonderful hotel. The pool was nice and the restaurant food was good. Pretty view of the sea and convenient location to the city and train station. The staff was helpful and friendly.

I recently stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Colombo, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The room was extremely spacious, honestly one of the largest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in within Colombo. Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the amenities were excellent. The room included everything you might need—tea and coffee facilities, toiletries, toothbrushes, and more. The bed was very large and comfortable, and the TV, office table was huge as well. All the facilities such as the lights, air conditioning, and fan worked perfectly, so we had no issues at all. Our room was on the 8th floor (top floor) and we had a nice view overlooking the Galle Face Hotel with a small view of the ocean. The location of the hotel is also excellent since it is very close to Galle Face Green and many other attractions in Colombo, which makes it very convenient for travelers. The check-in process was smooth, and they welcomed us with a refreshing welcome drink. One thing to note is that the security procedure is quite strict. When we had guests visiting our room briefly, they had to provide their IDs and go through a security check. It was the first time I experienced this in a hotel, but it is understandable since it helps maintain safety. Although we booked bed and breakfast, we later asked if we could add the dinner buffet, but unfortunately it was already full. However, something very kind happened later that night. My mother wanted chicken congee, so we asked the room service staff if it was available. Even though it was not on the menu at that moment, they were kind enough to prepare and send us a bowl of chicken congee. It was a very thoughtful gesture, and we truly appreciated their kindness. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a very wide variety of food, and everything we tried was delicious. My family has always liked the buffets at Ramada, and this time was no different. They also had live cooking stations, and the staff there were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, everything about the stay was great. The room, service, location, and food were all excellent. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel. It is absolutely worth the price and offers great value for money.
