Spa Hotels in Colombo

Kingsbury hotel is in a prime location closer to the beach activities. Some rooms are with sea view. Shopping mall is nearby that offers variety of shops and services. Restaurants provide wide selection of food options with local and international cuisines. The rooms are carpeted which emits old odour. The room furniture needs modernising. We experienced issues with booking. They couldn’t find our booking and gave us a room in a lower floor and the furnitures were old with smelly carpet. On my complaint, we were upgraded to a suite room in a higher floor which was classy and the view was excellent. Don’t know I can afford to stay in a suite. The staffs were helpful. I didn’t have a chance to use all amenities but I noticed there were many options. I will stay again if I am given a room in a higher floor or if I can afford a suite room.

Jetwing Colombo Seven is a remarkably comfortable and stylish city hotel in Colombo. The overall design is modern and minimalist, with an open and airy feel. The rooms are spacious and bright, and the bedding is soft, making for a truly relaxing stay. The rooftop infinity pool and bar offer breathtaking views, especially at dusk, overlooking the city skyline and coastline, creating a captivating atmosphere. Breakfast boasts a wide variety, catering to both local flavors and Western options, with consistent quality. The staff are professional and friendly, providing attentive and meticulous service that makes you feel right at home. Whether for a business trip or a leisure stay, it's an ideal choice that blends quality with sophistication.

Let me start with a few downsides: for a five-star hotel, there was no liquid hand soap, only bar soap. The toiletries were also very basic, small plastic bottles. We had to specifically ask for bathrobes and the low-quality disposable toothbrushes. The soundproofing was terrible; every time someone knocked on the opposite door, I felt like they were knocking on ours. The good points are: we were given two bottles of cinnamon drink upon arrival, the pool is beautiful, and the gym is decent. Apparently, haircuts are free, though I didn't try it, and there's a sauna too. We paid an average of over 600, and the taxes were quite high, so the value for money wasn't great in comparison. Oh, and the service was quite slow; we had to wait 10-20 minutes even for toothbrushes.

I recently stayed at the Colombo Court Hotel, and while it offers good value and excellent rooms, the hospitality felt a bit rigid for a tourist. First, the bright spots: The room itself was fantastic. It was large, impeccably clean, and featured great-quality sheets with plenty of excellent pillows. The bathroom was stocked with plush towels and quality toiletries. Since I arrived fighting a cold, the great selection of coffee and teas in the room was an absolute lifesaver. However, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I arrived at noon after an all-night flight. Even though it's the low season and the hotel felt completely empty, the front desk rigidly enforced the 2:00 PM check-in time. They didn't even offer an early check-in for a fee. Instead, I was told I could wait out in the heat by the pool for two hours. There was also a strange billing issue at check-in. The front desk asked me for a $43 payment, even though I had already prepaid in full. I had to firmly show them my paperwork showing the booking platform's virtual credit card payment before they backed off. They didn't bring it up again, but it felt a bit like a shakedown attempt. Finally, my booking confirmation explicitly stated checkout was between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Yet, at 11:30 AM, staff knocked on my door telling me checkout was actually at 11:00 AM. Even after showing the front desk my confirmation, they insisted their rule was 11:00 AM. The staff was always friendly and polite, but it felt like they were serving their rulebook rather than their guests. The property is very clean but has much more of a business-traveler vibe than a welcoming tourist destination. I have another reservation here for my return leg, but I’ll be canceling it to stay somewhere else.

The hotel is quite new and has all the necessary facilities. The breakfast is abundant, and the location is excellent. If you're lucky enough to catch a beautiful sunset, it's worth every penny. However, the hotel's construction quality is a bit subpar, and the decor lacks a bit of taste, which is why I didn't take any photos of the room or the lobby.

Arrival & check-in experience is Super. The room is super spacious, the bed is super king size , big enough for 3 adults. ,The blanket pillows and mattress are extremely comfortable and I had non-stop sleep till morning everydaym Bedroom Experience:10/10 The bathroom is very spacious wity seperate bathtub and standing shower and wash basin .Toilet is automatic and is very comfortable. Enjoyed the hot tub daily after work. Water temperature is awesome. Bathroom Experience: 10/10 I will come bafk again

Unexpected First Experiences! We check in passed 130AM and Hotel receptionist cant find our booking. After handover the booking confirmation + payment receipt, the receptionist just ask us to wait without any explanation. We need to wait for more than 60mins for them to prepare our room and handover the key to us. More unexpectedly they assigned a PWD room to us, not the room type we book we have no choice to sleep over for a night as we only managed to get to our room after 3AM and so tired of long hour travel. We requested to change room next day and being told to wait for 1 hour and again, the receptionist did not arrange new room for us and just let us wait without updates. We again request to change room on the 3rd day and finally they change to a normal room for us. Hotel management need to put in more effort to monitor your services because no guest wish to experiences this kind of unpleasant experiences.

It is very convenient to be next to La** Beach. The room is a bit old. The staff said it was opened around 2000. It is a bit old, but the service attitude is super good. I also like the breakfast. It is very cost-effective. I think I will choose here next time I come to Colombo
