"This hotel is very clean and new. Staffs was so kind and helpful too. On the second day of our stay, we had a problem with the hot shower in both of our rooms and only managed to get the problem fixed at night. Due to that, they compensated us free breakfast as a service recovery for my family the next day. We enjoyed our stay in this boutique hotel. However the parking in this hotel is so limited that we almost didn’t get parked our car in the hotel. We weee told that if no parking spaces available, we had to find a blue lot to park outside the hotel area. So far we were lucky enough to get the parking lot inside the hotel."

"Absolutely loved this hotel! The interior decor was very stylish. It's only a five-minute walk from the train station, even with luggage. Right next door to the W Hotel. Breakfast was very generous. The Duomo was right outside my window. I imagine the view from the rooftop terrace at night would be even better. Room drinks were always promptly refilled, and they even provided complimentary fruit and snacks. If I had to find fault, it would be that the power outlets stop working after you turn off the lights at night, so you have to be mindful when charging devices. Also, the front desk staff weren't very friendly; they never even greeted us when we returned."

"The receptionists and luggage-storage staff were all friendly and helpful. Although this is a hostel rather than a hotel, we still had a great experience over our expectation. We booked a double bed room with private bathroom, the facilities in the room were limited but it was clean and had a balcony. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows, we could see the dome of the Florence Cathedral and beautiful sunset - an absolutely delightful surprise."

My experience here was mostly positive, and while there were a few minor issues, I could tell that the staff genuinely does their best to run the villa as smoothly as possible. Check-in & First Impressions The first thing to note is that the villa is designed to work with automated check-in processes, which is great for most travelers. However, it could be better explained to future guests to avoid any confusion. Not everyone will have a working phone or data plan when they arrive in Italy, and it’s important for the villa to have a backup plan in case guests are unable to connect. One simple suggestion would be to provide Wi-Fi access at the entrance of the villa and share the network name and password with guests before their arrival. This would make it easier for everyone to access the automated system without any issues. Room & Comfort I stayed in the Deluxe Suite, located on the first floor of a three-story villa, right next to the breakfast room. At first, I was concerned about noise, but the thick, heavy door completely blocked any sounds from the breakfast area. I never heard a thing in the morning. The room has blackout curtains that provide great privacy and darkness, which I really appreciated. The bathroom was newly renovated with luxury finishes, including stone walls that give it a high-end feel. The room was clean, and the daily housekeeping service kept everything spotless, with fresh towels replaced daily. One of the standout features of Villa Tortorelli is Karen, the person in charge of breakfast service and housekeeping. She is incredibly attentive and hardworking. She ensures that guests are well taken care of, and the breakfast is always well-prepared and served hot. Honestly, if they lose Karen, the villa would lose two stars in reviews. She is one of their greatest assets. Breakfast Experience The breakfast service was excellent. The food is prepared fresh every morning, and Karen makes sure there is always a variety of hot and cold options available. The breakfast room is cozy and inviting, with plenty of choices to start your day off right. The Villa’s Atmosphere & Location The villa is peaceful and surrounded by greenery, making it a relaxing place to stay. It’s also within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions in Florence, which makes it very convenient for exploring the city. One Minor Issue The only negative point during my stay was that the room felt quite cold when I first arrived. However, I reached out to the WhatsApp help service, and the heating system was adjusted quickly. Within a short time, the room felt much warmer and more comfortable. Final Thoughts Overall, Villa Tortorelli is a great option for those looking for a peaceful, well-located stay in Florence. The automated check-in system could use some improvement to avoid any potential issues for guests without a data plan, but aside from that, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and the staff is very attentive. Would I stay here again? Yes, especially for Karen’s service and the peaceful villa atmosphere!"

"It's an older hotel, but it's exceptionally well-maintained and charming. Its location right by the Central Market is incredibly convenient for reaching all the main tourist attractions, and there are plenty of delicious restaurants nearby. The hotel staff are friendly, and the breakfast is decent. I particularly appreciated how they frequently replenished small batches of plates to ensure warm ones were always available. Daily cleaning was thorough. Even more impressively, in the evenings, housekeeping staff would proactively go around asking guests if they needed any turn-down service before bed, even without a prior request. Overall, it's a hotel with truly thoughtful service. If I ever return to Florence, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."

"Probably the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in! Great location, wonderful staff, large room with comfortable bed that looked out onto the Arno! The breakfast was first class! I’ve not a single negative to say about this hotel and will definitely recommend to anyone thinking of staying here!"

"I used it as a place to stay during my trip to Florence. It's a little far from the center of Florence, but you can easily get there by tram. The room had a great atmosphere and was very clean. Also, the breakfast is wonderful. It seems that they have a restaurant attached, and they serve a wonderful breakfast there. This is a hotel I would like to visit again."

"The room was great and even had a balcony. The picture below was taken from the hotel balcony in the evening. The hotel itself was quite clean and tidy, but there were two downsides: 1. The electric kettle in the room was leaking. 2. When we went to check-in at 2 PM, the front desk told us there were no rooms available. They tried to persuade me to pay 30 euros for an upgraded room so we could check-in immediately, otherwise, we'd have to wait until 3 PM. I said I'd wait until 3 PM. When 3 PM came around, they still claimed there were no rooms. I then said, ”Fine, I'll cancel and find another place to stay; I want a refund.” Immediately, the front desk said, ”Oh, we have plenty of rooms available, we have 85 rooms, we can arrange one for you right away.” Honestly, how disgusting is that?"
