Anglo American Hotel Florence, Curio Collection by Hilton

Our initial room on the first floor led to our child getting five bites – we couldn't tell if they were from bugs or mosquitoes. We suspected the extra bed might not have been clean and asked to switch rooms, but the front desk said they had no availability, so the three of us had to squeeze onto one large bed for the night. The next day, we went back to the front desk and finally got a room on the second floor. On the fourth day, we were suddenly woken up at 4 AM by a power outage and a loud bang before the emergency lights came on. This happened twice, completely disturbing our sleep. When we asked the front desk, they just said the power had gone out. I won't be staying here again.

The air conditioning was a bit inconsistent, going hot and cold, but everything else was fine. The room was cleaned well, and the design was great! It was definitely worth the price. Most attractions were about a 20-minute walk away.

Service was okay, but the breakfast was terrible. The hotel was also very run-down.

Great value for money.
