Hotel Atlantic Palace ★★★★
"This hotel is a complete dump. The facilities are old and run-down, the curtains don't block out any light, and you can hear everything through the walls. On top of that, the staff are rude."
aparto Florence Manifattura ★★
"clean and pretty hostel! service was also amazing. bed was comfortable. room was spacious. has water purifyer and vending machine (fair priced). also, all the hostel rooms are in the same flior so you don't have to wait for elevator forever. the only thing is the location. it's far from center. you have to take bus but the bus is only 3-4 times an hour and usually get delayed or even cancelled."
Grand Hotel Baglioni ★★★★
"A surprisingly delightful stay with a unique blend of modern and vintage decor. The location is superb; easily accessible right after getting off the train. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Florence Cathedral (Duomo), with plenty of restaurants and cafes along the way, making it incredibly convenient. The front desk was managed by a very friendly and patient older gentleman. The facilities were excellent too, and the creaky old wooden elevator added a charming touch of nostalgia. The minibar offerings—water, juice, and snacks—were complimentary and replenished daily, outshining most five-star hotels. I will definitely be back to stay here again."
Hotel Machiavelli Palace ★★★
Rooftop charm meets central Florence convenience, featuring panoramic Duomo views, a sunset rooftop bar, and a prime location near Santa Maria Novella Station.
Plus Florence ★★
Enjoy a rooftop pool bar, sunbathing area, and sauna, with a central location near Florence Historic Centre and the Duomo.
Sette Angeli Rooms ★★★★
"The hotel is conveniently located, just a five-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella Station and a five-minute walk from the Duomo. There's a supermarket in front of the station, a 1.19 euro shop two doors down from the hotel, and a cafeteria (trattoria?) directly across from the hotel that's open from 6am until late at night. Their focaccia is about 2 euros cheaper than other places. Overall, it was incredibly convenient. The hotel staff were also incredibly helpful. During my stay, I locked my room key in after a staff member had gone home and was locked out. Another guest had to call the owner to explain the situation, causing a huge commotion. They even came over on their motorbike late at night just to unlock the room for me. I regret not being able to express my thanks and apologies in person when a different staff member checked out the next day. The room was very clean, the shower water pressure and temperature were perfect, and the heating worked well, keeping me warm and free of any issues. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Florence."
Mercure Firenze Centro ★★★★
"Very convenient location near to the train station friendly staff room is clean."
Oltrarno 1881 Apartments ★★★★
"My security deposit of €200 was kept due to a plumbing issue that had absolutely nothing to do with me. After this happened, I looked at other reviews and discovered this appears to be a recurring issue—many guests report losing their security deposit with little to no explanation. It seems like a shady business practice, and I would strongly advise against booking with Oltrarno I88I Apartments unless you’re okay with potentially forfeiting €200 for arbitrary reasons. Beyond that, the apartment itself was not enjoyable. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and hard, as were the pillows. It was difficult to get a good night's sleep due to both the poor bedding and the excessive street noise at night, which couldn't be blocked out. Additionally, the apartment has a large, narrow internal staircase that felt quite unsafe and inconvenient—definitely not ideal if you have luggage or mobility issues. There are plenty of better, more transparent options in Florence. I’d recommend staying elsewhere."
C-Hotels Joy ★★★★
"The location is excellent, very close to the train station, and it's quite clean. The front desk staff were also nice. The only downside is that the room was too small. To get a slightly larger room, we had to pay an extra 30 euros per night. Even after paying, the room was still not very big overall. Another drawback is that the shower head only offered a top-down spray; the handheld one couldn't be fixed to the rail, which was very inconvenient."

Hotel Calimala Florence
"I booked a non-smoking room, but from the first day, the smell gave me a headache and I couldn't sleep.. On the second day, I found cigarettes in the room. I reported it to the hotel, but they avoided responsibility, saying there was no smell. They upgraded my room on the last day, but that room also had a broken toilet, weak water pressure, and a broken sink.. I paid about 300,000 won per night at a 4-star hotel, but it was at the level of a Korean motel."
Villa Royal B&B
"Go straight to the Royal hotel nearby, where the check-in desk is located. The rooms are cozy, clean, spacious."
Hotel Kraft
"The location is excellent, within walking distance of Florence train station, but the area is quite quiet, so it's a bit of a distance from supermarkets. The front desk service is good, and the breakfast in the upstairs restaurant is delicious. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the rooftop offers a great view of the Florence Cathedral dome, making it a great choice for accommodation in downtown Florence!"
Hotel Spadai
"An absolutely fantastic hotel with a lot of character! It's just a 100-meter walk to the Duomo, and you can even see it from your window. All the major attractions are within a 10 to 20-minute walk. If you get tired from shopping, you can easily pop back to the room to rest or use the restroom, which is much more convenient than finding one outside, and then head back out to explore. The bathroom is large and clean, and it even has a big Jacuzzi tub. The bed is super big and comfortable. Even though it's on a main road, the double-glazed windows block out all the noise, so it's perfectly quiet. Breakfast is also very good, and the coffee is excellent. All the staff are incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. I especially loved their staircase; the lighting and shadows give it a really stylish feel."
Radisson Blu Hotel Florence
"Pros: The cleanliness was exceptional, truly comparable to a five-star hotel, and the decor was lovely. There are many Chinese restaurants nearby, and it's very close to the train station, making travel convenient. Cons: I stayed in room 006, and the shower stall was extremely small. It was difficult to turn around inside, and I had to adjust the water temperature before stepping in. Another downside was the noisy air conditioning; even when turned off, there was still a ventilation sound, though it didn't significantly affect my sleep. Overall, I'd still give it a good review."
Mh Florence Hotel & Spa
"Excellent service and great location Recommended for families and grps."
Rivoli Boutique Hotel
"The hotel is a bit old, but it makes up for it with its excellent environment. It has a lovely little garden and the interior is also very beautiful."
The Gate Hotel
"Its in the middle of the highway. Worked perfectly for me. If you dont have a car its difficult location."
c-hotels Ambasciatori
"Right by the train station, super convenient! They even let me check in at 11 AM and stored my luggage for free. The staff were all really friendly. They helped me with my takeout order, and when I checked out, one staff member chatted with me, saying he'd been to Shanghai and planned to visit Beijing next. When I came back for my luggage, a female staff member saw I was struggling a bit and heading for the accessible ramp, but she just grabbed my bag and carried it down for me. 🤠 The single room was small, just like in the pictures. The only downside was the soundproofing wasn't great, but for the price, it was excellent value for money. Parking was also convenient right next door, though a bit pricey at 30 Euros a night."
Hotel Botticelli
"Excellent hotel, convenient for dining and sightseeing. It's about a 10-minute walk from the subway station. It can be a bit noisy at night, but it gets better after 12 AM. I recommend checking it out."
Art Hotel Museo
"Pros - Clean bathroom - 24-hour front desk staff - Close to McDonald's Cons - It's really far from downtown Florence, so it's hard to go out - Taxi from Florence airport to accommodation costs 39 euros - No infrastructure nearby - Poor soundproofing - Water is paid - Hair dryer malfunction issue Overall - You won't come here when you visit Florence. I recommend finding accommodation near Santa Maria Novella Station."
