FIRST CABIN INTERNATIONAL HAWAII

FIRST CABIN INTERNATIONAL HAWAII ★★★

📍 2270 Kalākaua Ave suite 1400, Honolulu

"This pod place was perfect for me. olde person, long layover, budget friendly ... close to the high prices, close to the low prices, centrally located in Waikiki. what's not to like.? my end-of-row lower pod was quiet and very clean. the mattress was very comfy, and i could charge my phone and pad. (First Cabin looses one smile because the shower curtains were a bit mouldy and thus a little whiffy. something a fortnightly bleach bath would easily cure.) same time, same place next year for me."

Queen Kapiolani Hotel ★★★★

📍 150 Kapahulu Avenue, Honolulu

"Check-in isn't until 3 PM. I was given a room on the 4th floor, right above the pool and restaurant. Guests in the restaurant were incredibly loud, both during the day and late into the night. I had to request a room change, but the new room was a different category – without a kitchen or dishes. They haven't sent me the receipt for my stay, even though I brought it to their attention. My deposit was blocked on my card when I checked in, and I'm still waiting for it to be returned. Otherwise, I really liked the hotel."

"The location was fantastic, only about a 7-minute walk to Waikiki Beach. The hotel staff were also very kind. Housekeeping comes every three days. I really appreciated that they lend out towels for the beach; it was great! After using them, you return the towels in the lobby, which kept our room from getting messy. Once we returned a towel, we got our lending card back, so we could borrow another one the next day when visiting different beaches. We rented a car and paid for parking. We were told we could park anywhere, but when we found it full and mentioned it, they moved one of the hotel's cars for us. For this price and location, I'm absolutely delighted! I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to save money but doesn't want to stay in a hostel, and prefers a clean place at the very least. Also, there's a poke place nearby called ''Maguro Spot'' that always had a long line. I was curious, tried it, and it was absolutely delicious – highly recommend!"

"This accommodation was a truly delightful surprise! The entire space has just been renovated, so the interior decor and facilities are very new and modern. The room itself was incredibly spacious and comfortable, with no feeling of being cramped at all. Even better is its location; it's quite close to the beach, so you can easily walk a short distance to stroll along the shore and enjoy the sea breeze. The overall stay far exceeded my expectations. I genuinely recommend adding it to your list if you're in the area; it's definitely a place I'd love to visit again!"

Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort ★★★★
"The location is decent, about a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport. The hotel is large, with plenty of restaurants and facilities nearby, and you can even participate in hotel activities. The overall service wasn't anything special, but the really annoying thing is that the hotel doesn't provide bottled water! Thumbs down! You can only drink tap water."

Ala Moana Honolulu by Mantra ★★★★
"Hotel is very convenient location with starbucks downstairs and mall next to it. However, it needs an upgrade such as a function to check out on TV. Also, need to do something about the elevator. It takes forever to get to the lobby or back upstairs with the elevator always full. Especially during busy hours and a long line to get into elevator. It was been a pain to wait for the elevator. I never have this issue with other hotels. The breakfast buffet can be better, but it is decent."

Stay Hotel Waikiki ★★★
"The location was great, very close to the beach! There were lots of shops and restaurants nearby, so I was able to explore various places on foot without having to take the bus. The free beach towel rental and free luggage storage were also very helpful. There were Japanese sweets at the front desk, and I was impressed with the hospitality, as I received a welcome message and chocolates in my room. The room I stayed in only had a shower and no bathtub, so it may not be enough for those who like a good bath. Overall, it was a great stay, and I would love to stay again!"

"Even though it was a room-only plan, there was a Target nearby, so we could eat things we bought there, plate lunches, or even items we brought from Japan in the common area lobby. It was great that there was a microwave, a fridge, and a toaster!"

Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort & Spa ★★★★
"The room view was absolutely stunning! James at the front desk gave us a room on the 36th floor with a view of Diamond Head, and we couldn't hear any noise from downstairs, which was great. It also happened to be their 50th anniversary, so we received a complimentary water bottle and a commemorative bag. The hotel offered a fantastic range of activities; we could scan a QR code after checking in to book ukulele lessons, hula dancing, and more. They were all really fun and made for a wonderful experience."

Waikiki Resort Hotel ★★★
"This hotel was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The only positive thing is the location. My husband and I had planned a relaxing getaway, but the hotel ruined the whole impression. The room was filthy, the bed linens were stained, and the breakfast wasn’t worth going to. They advertised private parking, but it’s an additional $40 per day. We had booked a room with a double bed, but they gave us two singles. When we asked why, they said we needed to pay an extra $50 for the bed we originally booked. The hotel is extremely outdated, and for this price, you can easily find a much better alternative! We will never stay here again."

"The balcony had a city view, but the view was terrible and it didn't feel like a resort at all. If you're staying here, I recommend the Diamond Head view. It was clean, but for this price I should have tried harder and stayed at the Hilton. The view from the pool is the best."
