IirisncipWe stayed at the one of the Historic Banyan King Room with City View for 4 nights, room was conveniently located in the main building, doesn’t come with a balcony, but has 2 windows. It gets noisy sometimes at night even though we stayed on the 4th floor. The resort also offers a list of cultural and wellness activities for booking, this is where the resort fee goes to, so make sure you book some of these activities if time permits. Overall we liked the hotel as it’s at the center of Waikiki and has direct access to the beach, several great restaurants and you can also pre-order Honolulu Coffee for pick-up at the hotel location.

AAnonymous UserWe opted for a room in the more expensive Ocean Tower, which offered lovely views of the pool and a partial ocean view. It was great to have a free water and ice dispenser. The restaurant downstairs is famous and delicious, though the tips were quite high. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and attentive. At the front desk, one gentleman's attitude was a bit lukewarm, but all the ladies were very kind. The hotel is conveniently located close to both the beach and the city center. They also offer a good number of their own activities where you can learn about Hawaiian culture. Every evening, there were different bands playing for three hours, creating an amazing atmosphere. For a family, the price was quite reasonable.

SSevost13We stayed at this hotel from October 29 to November 4. Overall, the staff was polite and the room was cleaned daily with fresh towels provided — which we appreciated. However, several issues significantly affected our experience. First, the accessible bathroom we specifically booked did not match the photos. There was no handheld shower head, which was important for us. Second, the mirror in the hallway was noticeably dirty upon arrival, with visible streaks from a wet cloth — quite unpleasant for a hotel of this level. I also reported that the faucet in the sink splashed water everywhere, soaking the countertop and the floor. I was told the issue would be checked, but nothing was fixed throughout our stay. The two-faucet system used to regulate water in the bathroom was also very inconvenient, and we consistently had problems with unstable hot water pressure. A separate major issue was the parking. I prepaid and reserved parking for 5 days, but on the second evening all the spots were already taken, and I was simply instructed to park in a different building nearby. This was extremely inconvenient — having to carry things from the 3rd floor of another parking structure and waste additional time. It turned out that even if you pay in advance, your parking spot is not guaranteed — anyone from outside can take it. So you pay, but end up without the service you were promised. Overall, the staff tried to provide good service, but the organizational issues, maintenance problems, and poorly managed parking system seriously reduced our comfort. Unfortunately, after this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

GGuest UserRenovation is great, but bathrooms are tiny! Only one can fit and it would have to be a thin person. Otherwise, the room is good, but walls are thin. There's also a charge for everything. Early checkin was $75, even though a room was ready. Great location and nightly rate is more reasoable than most, so for those reasons I'd recommend staying here

LLovelyxintaiI booked a city view room, but it was on the side of the beach, so I could still see the ocean from the balcony. You could say it was a partial sea view. The room was quite spacious, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area which was convenient. However, the shower and bathtub were combined and felt a bit cramped and inconvenient, but it was manageable. The soundproofing was quite poor; even though we weren't near the elevator, I could clearly hear people coming and going next door. The service was neither particularly good nor bad. The hotel's location is excellent, with shopping and dining options just a short walk away.

DDaisy226The hotel room is ok, but there is basically no sound insulation. The noise downstairs will last until the early morning. Those who have trouble sleeping can look for other hotels. The location is very good. The restaurant downstairs is always lined up and the taste is not bad.

LLiunvshiailvxingI stayed for several days in a row, and I wouldn't really recommend it. We had a balcony room with a partial ocean view, and the sea was quite beautiful on a nice day. However, the biggest issue with this hotel is how incredibly noisy it is due to the constant flow of people. If your room isn't on a high enough floor, you'll be facing the third-floor pool downstairs, and in the afternoons, the hotel blasts very loud, high-energy music, which is incredibly disruptive. The hotel is located in the Waikiki area, but this specific part generally feels less safe than the core shopping center area where Waikiki Target is located. At night, there are strange homeless people walking the streets, some of whom smell quite bad. You'll also occasionally catch the smell of ********* wafting through the hotel lobby and hallways. The cleanliness is just okay; because the hotel is quite old, there are some mottled spots on the walls. The towels aren't as plush as those at Hytaa, and while housekeeping does come daily, it doesn't quite make up for the other issues.

GGuest UserSuper close to Waikiki Beach, just a few minutes' walk away. Public transport is also very convenient, with bus and trolley stops less than 100 meters from the property. The room was spotless, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The front desk staff speak Japanese and English, but it would be a bonus if they could speak a bit of Chinese too.

GGuest UserCentral location near Waikiki beach. The Ocean view rooms can see the beach from the room. Restaurants are within walkable distance. Staff are friendly. Free bottled water provided (2 bottle in each room and 2 bottles at check in). The only downside is the noise from the street and from the pool can be bothersome if you are sensitive to.

GGuest UserThe breakfast had a good variety and was enjoyable. The room was clean and the housekeeping was perfect. The only downside is that the walls are a bit thin, so you can hear the neighbors' voices and shower sounds. However, I would still consider staying here again.
