The location of this hotel could not be better, it is within walking distance of Plaza Mayoe and Plaza Sol. There are a couple of markets close by and also the palace and cathedral are within walking distance also. The hotel itself is looking a little tired and needs a little bit of a renovation but the staff are friendly and very accomodating. We also loved our balcony that had a lovely viiew.

The hotel is good, the facilities are great, the swimming pool is great, the breakfast is good, the staff is attentive and pleasant, I will recommend it without a doubt. Thank you for everything, we will definitely be back.

Pros- good location, clean, easy checkin/checkout, staff helpful at front desk, long breakfast hours, very good water pressure in shower. Had 4 twin beds for a family with teenagers it was good. There was a safe in the room and housekeeping made up the room each day, even if we slept in later. Cons- room had a musty odor, didn’t get AC working until 3rd night, slept with windows open at night and street was very very noisy until 4am, breakfast was rather basic,

Today the word ”luxury” has been diluted by overuse. Everything has its ”luxury” tag nowadays - from coffee blends to detergents. Coco Chanel once said that luxury is not the opposite of poverty, it is the opposite of vulgarity. And that sums up the Belle Époque Ritz in a nutshell! Everything about The Ritz madrid is elegance. From the beautiful interior, the luxurious upholstery and beautiful carpeting woven in the Royal Tapestry Factory founded in 1720. The staff are silently gliding around dressed impeccably, with equally matched service.

Booked through ******* with flights, overall good value. Very comfortable bed, good shower, clean. Brilliant location, one of the best breakfasts we’ve had anywhere- great choice of good quality food & very good value. Would definitely recommend & would happily stay again.

The location of the hotel is very good. Turn around and go to the main street. The parking lot is at the entrance of the hotel. It belongs to a large public parking lot. The hotel is relatively old, and the air conditioners are all indoors, which is similar to the old hotels of about 2 to 3 stars in China. Madrid must pay attention to thieves. . I will start accidentally.

We stayed at the Hotel Opera recently for the second time, to celebrate a special Wedding Anniversary. We had an absolutely wonderful time. The hotel is centrally located, right next to the Opera House and close to all the attractions of central Madrid. We had nothing but excellent service from the staff throughout our whole stay - they are very responsive and helpful. The room is spacious, clean and comfortable with everything you need including a few little extras like a comb and shoeshine. Breakfast was excellent every morning, a great choice of English-style and continental offerings, The Spanish tortilla and home-made fruit tarts are particularly recommended. You need to book breakfast at a specific time, and this avoids the ”scrum” that some previous reviewers have described. Just two things prevent me giving a 5-star review. First of all it is some time since the hotel was refurbished so some of the fittings are starting to look a little tired. Secondly the cafe has changed since we were last there, it used to be possible to get tapas-style snacks from a counter display 24/7, now it is table service with hot food only available when the kitchen is open - in the evening it starts serving at 8pm which is a little late for us, so if you feel the same you need to go out to one of the many good tapas bars around. But overall we love this hotel and will certainly revisit!

A little further away from Atocha Station than we expected but still within a 10 minutes walk. Overall, a clean hotel with good service. No kettle or bottled water provided. Have to get hot water from the hotel restaurant located in the lobby.
