AC Hotel Carlton Madrid

Good convenient location by the main train station. Nicely renovated rooms. A little lacking in amenities for the price - slippers were 5 Euros. Rather poor soundproofing, we could clearly hear various noises from other rooms and also traffic from the streets.

Located a 10-minute walk from Madrid Atocha Station, this hotel offers moderately sized rooms with a wide selection of Western-style breakfast options, including cheesecake and smoked salmon. The food quality is 4.5 stars. The hotel has two card-operated elevators for guest use, ensuring a high level of security. The rooms are approximately 95% new, with two single beds. The spacious rooms can accommodate two 24-inch suitcases. Amenities include a table, chairs, TV, electric kettle, small refrigerator, clothes rack, and safe. There are ample power outlets. The sheets and duvet covers are crisp, clean, and comfortable. The air conditioning is comfortable and quiet, and the WiFi is fast. The bathroom has a separate shower and toilet, with clear tap water, a clean and fast-draining toilet, and plenty of hot water in the shower. This hotel offers excellent value for money, and the breakfast is of excellent quality. I would consider staying here again when visiting Madrid.

The room was spacious, and we had a great stay. The hotel also provided toothbrushes and toothpaste, which was very considerate. The staff were friendly as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

About 6 minutes walk to the Atocha train station, 4 minutes to Sofia museum, 15 minutes to Prado. Great location. The room is clean.
